By the Sea with SNP

Today's card is also being posted onto the Stamp N Plus blog

The two shell stamps on my card are from the Stamp N Plus store

I stamped the circular shell in Sahara Sand SU ink and the tubular shell with SU's Night of Navy ink. Then I took an Ranger ink blender and distress ink to the edges of each shell. The die cut that the shells are sitting on is from Quickutz, paper is Neenah Solar White and the burlap is from my stash. The blue fabric looking circle is a brad by Fancy pants. I liked the blue color because it reminds me of the ocean and I really thought the card needed a third element to balance it out. You're going to find this hard to believe but here it is, I don't have a beach theme brad in my stash. I know, right. What's the matter with me:)

The sentiment is an epoxy sticker by Cloud 9. It is normally translucent but I decided to place some vellum behind it because I feared the fibers from the burlap would stick to it or that sentiment would be hard to read/make out. Therefore I mounted the sticker on some The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby vellum and cut it the same size/shape.

The blue cardstock strip and third background paper is by Stampin Up, the sand colored cardstock is by {or should I say was by} Creative Memories and the patterned paper on top is by DCWV. I thought this card was fitting since it's the last weekend before school starts.

You can find the shell stamps HERE

Thank you to Stamp N Plus for letting me post on your blog today.

Stop back tomorrow for the Chalk Ah Lot card also using Stamp N Plus stamps.

Celebrate with burlap

For my card today I created the background by dry embossing white cardstock and then inking the edges with distress ink Walnut Stain using an ink blender by Ranger. The white cardstock is by Recollections and matted with sand colored cardstock by Creative Memories. The die cut in the center was cut out using the Cricut and the Creative Memories Holiday Frames and Tags. I used cardstock by Oriental Trading Co (kraft), Provo Craft (cream) and Bazzill (dark brown) for the die cut. The stamped sentiment is by Papertrey Ink with ink by Hero Arts. The brads and burlap are from my stash.

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday

For this week's post I have a bookmark to show you. I made it for the challenge at Mark's Finest papers. My nephew has been asking me to make him a bookmark and so this challenge was the perfect kick in the behind I needed.

For this bookmark I heat embossed the music instruments stamps by Stampibilities with Versa Mark ink and black Stampendous embossing powder. Then I used blue distress ink to change it's color. The circle at the bottom right reminded me of the inside of a speaker. The stamp is by Papertrey Ink with ink by Ranger. The PJB (his initials) stamps are by Stampin Up with ink by Close to My Heart.

My card for this week is for the upcoming holiday Father's Day. The patterned paper is by DCWV Guy Stack. I inked the edges with Ranger distress ink and an ink blending tool. The brads are by The Paper Studio and the burlap is from my stash. I used foam adhesive on the title. A very easy card for the fix it kind of guy in our lives.

Some other guy cards I found this week:
(Be sure to stop by and give them some love)
