Candy Cane Lane card with a double heat embossing

This card is something else. I loved doing it and I need to find a different embossing folder to try the same technique, agree? And I will take ideas/requests
There are way too many pictures but sometimes that’s the way it goes.
The embossing folder is by We R Memory Keepers. It's a little bit longer, so that's why I could line up the design. Meaning I could do this technique because the opposite, embossed and debossed was longer and could line up. (that was a horribly long run-on sentence.)
The embossing folder is 3" wide. Therefore, these are 3 separate pieces of cardstock. (I think I said that)
I dry embossed 2 pieces of red cardstock and I'm not sure if they are from the same manufacturer they look like two shades of red. I hate the shades of red cardstock and how they are hard to match up. I probably didn't think the idea would work.
>Click<My cousin used to obsess over the shades of red and I would be so Rrrr, "Just pick a piece of red paper!" So one day I ran into a problem with matching reds so I fanned out the pieces of red cardstock all over my desk and took a picture. I texted her the picture and apologized for those times that she couldn't find just the right red to match her son's shirt when we were scrapbooking. She appreciated the apology.
>Click< Back- moving on with the tour.
Then I dry embossed a shimmery white cardstock.
I took a red "Wet Looks" Marvy embossing marker colored it into the debossed pattern and then heat embossed it with red embossing powder.
I did the same thing for the red cardstock but in white. The embossing marker is Embossing Dual Pen 11 #81 Clear by Tsukineko and used Hero Arts white embossing powder to finish the job.
I must say that I didn't use a powder bag before heat embossing and it shows with embossing powder everywhere. For the first time with such a technique, I'm all good with that.
I trimmed the panel down and gave it a nice white border on the sides. The sentiment is one of Cricut's print and cut.

This post was stupid long and way too wordy with probably many grammatical errors. This may be why I didn't want to post it. Thanks for sticking with me. Thanks for looking.

Glitter Happy Birthday

I made the background for this card like this other birthday card I posted in April.
I used black ink by Versa Color and the gold is by Tsukineko
I inked the edges with white and then black
The black and gold glitter cardstock is by Recollections
The happy die cut is by Clearly Besotted and the birthday by Papertrey Ink

Bright Birthday greetings

Here are some very bright and busy birthday cards. For all of them I used a brayer over multiple colored ink set by Tsukineko. The also all have ribbon by May Arts with an Around the Block brad in each one.

1st and 2nd cards have a square punch (CM) dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
Then I colored in the present with powdered chalk and paint.
Behind the squares is a purple (Bazzill) die cut by DO Objectives.

Then this last one the Stampemndous butterfly
was stamped with Tsukneko black ink
 and colored with Copic markers
The die cut behind the butterfly is by Dreamweavers Stencil
the circle behind is Making Memories patterned paper
that is dry embossed with Darice folder
all of that is on top of a white Spellbinders die (Beaded circles die)

Fruity ATC cards

My cards today were for the ATC swap. theme: the color orange, primary orange. The tangerine chipboard is a clothing tag that I cut off the edges with corner decorative scissors and inked the edges orange. The background is a Stampin Up canvas background stamp. I stamped it onto orange cardstock with white Studio Calico paint. I inked the edges orange.

The yellow cardstock on the right side is by Paper Reflections.I sprayed the cardstock with orange Smooches spray by Clear Snap. Once it dried, I stamped a Hero Arts tropical leaves stamp on top using Tsukineko green ink, which I think is called bamboo leaves. It's faint but I like that. Then I randomly cut the edge off to keep the orange in site.

I cut up these Hawaiian menus that Grandma had saved from their cruise in 1985 to get all the little words. (Oh yes, she still had them) I adhered the words to the tag and outlined them with,a white Sharpie marker. The fruit stickers are by American Crafts/Amy Tangerine, the pineapple brads by Eyelet Outlet and the rhinestones from my stash.

The only difference between this second one and the rest is, I added some Spellbinders dies above the tag. It may have been to cover up a mistake. It was also stamped with the leaves stamp.

Thanks for looking.

Spread Sunshine Cards

I have to say that distress inks are my favorite thing to create with. I inked these backgrounds with different shades of blue before going in with the yellow and the orange for the stencil sun rays. The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp that I curved on the acrylic block before stamping it with black ink. I've had to use Memento tuxedo black ink lately because my favorite black ink by Hero Arts is drying up. I wonder if it is because I'm in the basement where it is cold. Or it could be that I just use it all the time. Anyway, the flowers, buttons, eyelets, rhinestones and brads have different manufacturers. There's even an upcycled hair thingy in there.

Forever 39! Birthday card

I made this card with a Sizzix flower stamp and matching die as well as a Stampin Up leaf stamp and matching die. I stamped both with Colorbox ink and the second leaf stamp I stamped with Tsukineko Bamboo green ink. The patterned papers are by Stampin Up and Basic Grey. The flower eyelet is by Making Memories. The sentiment tag is by 3 Bugs in a Rug and the 39 stickers by Provo Craft.

This next card is very similar to the one above. It has patterned paper by Basic Grey and Recollections and a white brad is by Imaginise.

Sleigh Ride Card

I know it's kind of early-like six months but I'm sharing a Christmas card today. I made a handful of Christmas cards last week so when the holidays come I don't get overwhelmed or get sick of making them.

I start with a pre-made white card base size 4 x 5 ½ by Recollections and adhere a piece of green paper to the front (Sunborn). To create the embossed background I added gold pigment ink (Galaxy Gold/Tsukineko) to the snow patterned embossing folder (Darice). I placed a white cardstock inside the folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug. Let it dry completely.

On a small scrap of white cardstock, I stamped the sleigh ride stamp with green ink by Stampin Up. This ink worked really well on this solid stamp because it is a newer pad and is still very moist with ink. I matted a piece of patterned paper (We R Memory Keepers) behind the image but to only show on the top and bottom. Once the embossed paper dries, adhere the image to the top of the card and add a sentiment and gold sticker below the image.

Manly Monday Awarded Birthday Card

The card today is a mini card base by Coredinations. I inked the outside edges with brown distress ink. The green cardstock is by Creative Memories and the brown cardstock that has been embossed with a Provo Craft folder and inked with distress ink, is by Recollections. The ribbon and sentiment are Stampin Up stamps that I fussy cut out. The ink for those two stamps is by Memento/Tsukineko. The circle in the middle has been punched out by a Stampin Up punch and adhered with Zots 3D adhesive.

With Sympathy Card

My card today is a sympathy card which is one we always need to have saved in our stash for when the time comes and you need it. I started with some patterned paper (Sunborn) and inked the edges with a green distress ink (Ranger). I adhered a piece of green cardstock (Coredinations) below the center and adhered a felt flower and felt leaves (Unknown) with Multi Medium Matte (Ranger) adhesive. I set a very small brad by Close to my Heart in the center of the flower.

The sentiment is a stamp by Just Rite stamps in green ink by Memento/Tsukineko. Using my Cuttlebug and a Sizzix die, I die cut the stamped sentiment. I inked the edges with distress ink while the cardstock was still in the die.

Tree Sympathy Card

For today's card I started off with white cardstock (Recollections) and a stencil (The Crafter's Workshop) that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels) to create the background.  Once the paper was dry, I cut it down to 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 to mat it onto a piece of green with brown patterned paper (Sunborn).

On another piece of white cardstock I stamped the tree (Studio G) that had been inked with green and brown cat eye inks (Tsukineko). The tree stamp is a rubber stamp and I wanted to stamp it first because the box around it is a clear stamp (Fiskars), which would make it easier to line up and get the tree in the center of the square. I trimmed the image down to a square and matted it with some brown cardstock (Coredinations). I adhered the image to the background with foam adhesive (3M).

For the sentiment, I stamped the word "Our" (Lawn Fawn) with brown ink (Stampin Up) onto a label die cut (Spellbinders) that has an opening on both ends to feed brown ribbon (Stampin Up) through which I wrapped around the back of the front panel. The "Sincere Sympathy" sentiment is a sticker (Sticko/EK Success) that I had to cut out the word "my" from the beginning. As I finished assembling the everything I couldn't help but notice the white sentiment die cut was lost in the sprayed background. To fix this problem, I placed a kraft cardstock (Oriental Trading Co.) rectangle die (unknown) behind the label die cut.

Here's an Easter card since we are one week away from the blessed holiday. The egg stamps from left to right; the first three eggs are stamps by Stamp N Plus; the green egg in the center is a stamp by We R Memory Keepers; The aqua colored egg is a stamp by VAP! For the cross stamp (Clear Dollar Stamps) and the sentiment (Stamp N Plus) they are stamped with black ink by Hero Arts. The embossed folder used on the purple cardstock in the center is by Cuttlebug/Provo Craft. Special Merry Christmas

Hi. In today's card I don't know who the ornament stamp is by but I colored it in with Copic markers and then cut it into a circle with my CM Cutting System. I then cut a circle a little bit bigger and then layered those two circle onto a Scenic Route circle die. I cut the background paper by Die Cuts with a View on a slant to allow room for my sentiment. The edges of the paper are covered with red ribbon and on top of that green rick rack. The sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts and it is stamped with Bamboo Leaves ink by Tsukineko.

CCAYR Christmas Tree Cards

I have two cards for this months Christmas Cards all Year Round challenge. The first is a shaker card I created with Lifestyle Crafts pennant die. In the background of the shaker I stamp a few different Tim Holtz stamps with green ink by Tsukineko. The sequins in the shaker card are by Craft Medley. The border at the bottom is a die by Spellbinders. The glitter at the bottom is score tape that I added green fine glitter to.

My second card uses a stamp by DeNami Design. I heat embossed it with gold Stampendous embossing powder on Ranger's watercolor cardstock. Then I used the Peerless watercolors and a water pen to color the image in. The green cardstock is by Stampin Up and the green patterned paper is y Die Cuts with a View.

Lawn Fawn Sending Hugs

For my card today I'm using a Lawn Fawn bicycle stamp, grass stamp, sentiment stamp and die cut. I started by stamping the bicycle in Hero Arts black ink and then masking the bike off with a big Post It note, I then stamped the grass with ink by Tsukineko and the sentiment with Charcoal Hero Arts shadow ink. I colored the bicycle in with powdered chalk mixed with paint and die cut the image out.

For the background paper, I started with polka dot patterned paper by Scenic Route by stamping a Hero Arts background stamp on it with Versa Mark ink. I heat embossed the background with clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I inked the edges of the patterned paper with blue distress ink and an ink blending tool bother by Ranger. I finished by adhering the bicycle die cut to the background.

The other cardstock of my card is by Recollections and the orange cardstock is by Coredinations. The orange patterned paper is by Pink Paislee  and the rounded square and border die cuts are by Spellbinders. I think the skull brad is by Around the Block.

Christmas Card

Happy World Cardmaking day. I think I will be back with more cards since I can take part in challenges and what-nots online.

This month at Christmas Cards All Year Round the challenge is Embellish it. I took mine to a new level of embellishing, well at least for me. But hey it's all good.

The digital stamp Holly Ornament is by Beccy's Place, which I colored in with Copic markers. Then I fussy cut the image out and taped it onto a Sizzix die cut. The red and white cardstock in my card is by Recollections and the chevron patterned paper is by Glitzy. The sentiment stamps and the banner they are in are by Hero Arts using Simon Says Stamp red ink and Tsukineko green. The sequins are by Craft Medley and rhinestones by Imaginisce. To finish the card I added Sticko poinsettia and leaves stickers to the corners.

Manly Monday Part 1 Gamer card

I made this boy-like card for the challenge at Kenny K's using their Boy Gamer digi stamp. I colored him in with Copic markers and then die cut the image with a Spellbinders die cut. I did paper piece his shirt from a light grey cardstock by Stampin Up. I stamped it with a patterned background stamp by Hero Arts. For the shoes I used a Faber Castell Artist pen to give them a little metallic look. I did distress the edges of the die cut because it looked way to white and clean for a boy image.

The background stamps and sentiment are stamps by Papertrey Ink. I stamped the background with Sahara Sand ink by Stampin Up onto some random kraft cardstock in my paper bin. I heat embossed the sentiment {4 times but who's counting-Ugh!} using white embossing powder by Stamp N Plus, Versa Mark by Tsukineko, and black cardstock by Recollections. The light bulb brad is by Eyelet Outlet.
EST.

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I had so many people write me back about their card I had to split it up into two posts and I did so by separating cards for the younger masculine and the older masculine cards. This post has the younger cards but some could go for both. I really enjoy doing these posts featuring your cards and I hope you enjoy reading them and checking out the masculine card inspiration. Please click on the blog title above the little snippet to be directed to the blog post.  Then when you are done please scroll down for my card.

Thanks so much for looking the older male cards blog post will go live at 6:00 PM
