Pretty Purple Cheshire Cat Card

This is my card for Craft Roulette #260
The challenge parameters were:
Project-An envelope
Colors-toys
Element-Children's story
Random-List
I made my card look like an envelope with the patterned papers slanted into a V. The patterned paper has the Cheshire Cat in it, which would account for the toys' colors and the children's story element. The list is seen when you open the card to reveal "My favorite things..." Look at the photo below.
The card was for my nephew, and he really liked it.

This second card was for the bonus gallery. It has the look of an envelope, same colors as above, the children's story is in my kid's cabinet, and the list of Happy Birthday stickers.

Craft Roulette #260 color combo. We are doing a side color challenge along with the chosen color parameter because the color parameter can be very loosely interpreted. It's been said that they will allow it as long as you can justify it.

Holly Hobby Flying a Kite Card

I made this Holly Hobby card for
The parameters were:
Project: A2 size card
Colors: A donut shop-I think sprinkles on donuts are pink, blue, and green.
Element: Dolly- When I was growing up, Holly Hobby was my doll, wallpaper, blanket, and decorations. You get it.
Random: A purse or pockets- HH has pockets in her dress.

I colored the image in with Copic markers, but there was something about the sky that I wasn’t able to get the way I wanted it with the Copic markers. I got out my new Distress Crayons. I had no idea how to use them, so I got out some reinforcement. I used a blender and then a water brush. It doesn't look great but I'm saying that this is an artistic approach to making a sky.

The background patterned paper is from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment puffy stickers are by Glitz. The clear stickers are by Mrs Grossman’s.
The reason for two photos is to show the card in vivid mode and regular mode of my camera.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Eat Lots of Cake/ no ice cream

I made this card for Craft Roulette #215
Project: Birthday card
Colors: Petting zoo
Element: Scoops
Random: Tabs

This card is such a joy to make that I might make more. For some reason, I have a lot of those ice cream stickers. No one will know if I make duplicates of the same card.

Here’s the card with the tag out of the pocket. And then the next picture is the other side of the tag.

Here’s the other side of the tag.
The word stickers are by SRM stickers, the ice cream stickers are by Mrs. Grossman, the heart die cut is from Lawn Fawn, and the yellow circle border on the tag is by Doodlebug. I used a white square punch from Creative Memories to create the grid. The center squares are on dimensional adhesive.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Manly Monday Iris Folding fish card

This is an image from "the drawer". I did this iris folding technique years ago. I made the background with blue Distress ink. I used a Fiskars border punch as a stencil at the top. It created a nice wave. The image is from Stamp N Scrappin. The sentiment is a sticker by Mrs. Grossman. Thanks for looking.

Calendar Layout October Great-Nephew's birthday Month

So for this layout, I knew I wanted the party hat in the dump truck because I don't usually get to use a party hat (CM) or a dump truck (Mrs Grossman's). The orange die cut and patterned paper were by Bo Bunny.
For the rest of the layout, I had help from my niece and nephew's girlfriend. I wish that I would have added a title. I might steal it back to do it. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Die-cuts in Formation to say Happy Birthday

The die-cuts are Sizzix brand and when I ran them through the Cuttlebug with a rubber mat, the center’s embossed. I was going to add more die cuts to fill in more of the white background but then it lost its simple masculine charm. The sentiment is a sticker by Mrs. Grossman’s. Thank you for looking.
PS. I can’t understand why the pictures are so crappy. I took them like all the others. Super annoying.

Dog Sending Happy Mail cards

I stamped the Stampin Up dog stamp on white cardstock and colored him in with colored pencils. I then used a square punch to cut him out and distressed the edges with distress ink.
He is on top of a Spellbinders die cut, on top of a Sizzix die-cut, and then the negative of a Cricut. circle

The pink pack background paper is a Project Life
The triangle around the dog is by Mrs. Grossman's
The sentiment is all by Lawn Fawn

Soft colors make a wreath card

I made my card today using die cuts from a Sizzix set that is full of birds. The patterned papers I used were by K and Co., Pepertrey Ink, and Tim Holtz. The background paper is by Studio Calico. The sentiment stamp was a set I bought off of eBay. I've been on a shopping spree the last month. I'm not as familiar with my new products. Anyway, the bow is a sticker by Mrs. Grossman. I punched the center of the wreath out with a Marvy circle punch.

Lately, I have been doing challenges for inspiration and a place to start.
I made this card for the challenge at

Puppy Thinking of You Up-cycled Card

This first card:
The background paper is a Kleenex box.
The dog stamp is an old one by Stampin Up. I colored him with Copic markers and then cut him out with a square punch.

The triangle pattern around him is a border sticker by Mrs. Grossman that I cut down to match the shape of the square die-cut that is by Spellbinders.
The white die cut is unknown.
The card is jam-packed with layers but, I think someone will like it. I want the sentiment on the inside to say something like sending you happy mail.

Second Card:
The puppies and the sentiment are from a store-bought card
I used a dog foot stamp for the bottom

This last card,
A long time ago while standing in line at Michael's I found this dog stamp in the dollar bin that was perfectly placed where a waiting customer could look through it.

I colored it in with Copic markers

The background patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View
The patterned paper on the tag is by Provo Craft (Very, Very, Very old paper! Look at me, using my stash. Oh yay!)
I cut out the tag with my Cricut
The brad is by Around the Block
The doghouse and bowl buttons are by Dress it Up
This card will need to go into a padded envelope with extra postage.

Summer Fun 2006 at the cottage scrapbook Layout

This book is of my nephew is coming together.
In fact, I just scrapbooked his senior picture.
I'm about to print prom and graduation day pictures.

This layout makes me happy because I was able to use SO many old products from my stash and you can't tell.

The swimming stamps-Stampin Up

The sentiment is by-Colorbok (Summer Fun)

There are no die-cut
Border sticker by the sunglasses stamped image-Mrs. Grossman's

Patterned papers by-Crate Papers (shaped background), Provo Craft (wavy blue),  My Mind's Eye (stripes), Queen and Co (polka dots), Unknown (fish paper to the right)

I love the sunglasses stamp. It's on a tab that comes in these ephemera packets and I never use them.
I should find someone to exchange ephemera packs with. I get sick of the same pieces and therefore only use a small portion of them. Anyway, Blah, Blah, Blah.

Distress markers colored on the back of the rubber stamps allow me to get multiple colors on my stamps.

Memorial Day Thank you Card with Handmade Star Background

Happy Memorial Day!
Thank you to all the former and active servicemen and servicewomen that have fought for our country.
Thank you doesn't seem like enough.
God bless you all.

This card was supposed to be today's post but I forgot to change out the layout for this card. Oh well, it's a 2 for 1 day at Cre8iveCindy!

The sentiment is a sticker by Mrs. Grossman's. It's a cute little sheet of thank you sentiments.

The circle scallop die-cuts are all by Spellbinders. The bottom one is vellum with flicks of color here and there.

The patterned paper is by Me. I punched a bunch (haha) of stars with scrap paper and glued it on the card base.

The ribbon that goes through the center is from my MIL's stash. It is by The Robert Stanley Collection. I like it and may use it for a 4th of July card.

Manly Monday Run for Hamburgers Card

I made this card for my BIL thanking him for all of the wonderful things he does for us. He liked it.

I wanted this to be more than just a Cricut cut out card. A break out of the norm.

Then I remembered that for whatever reason, I had these scraps of photo paper sitting around.
So, I used them with alcohol inks and made my own tan paper to go behind the burger buns and a brown for the burger patty.
Nobody’s going to know that or care but I enjoyed the change in creativity that came to mind.

The food stickers are by Mrs. Grossmans

The die-cut is an intentional negative Cricut cut. I put white scraps of paper behind the sentiments.

The cookie patterned paper is by The Paper Studio

I’m determined to use the stuff in my craft room.
I bought it for a reason and maybe that reason has changed or the products are out of style but the bottom line is, if I’m not going to use it, then I need to get rid of it.
These food stickers have been in my stash for probably 10 years. They are corny but I rather like how they give a reason to the cookie background paper.

End of 1980 and into 1981 Pocket Pages

This isn't the most exciting 2-page layout but I need to keep going.
I used a lot of the same supplies as the previous layouts.
The patterned paper is by Stampin Up (left) and The Paper Studio (right)
Funny things:
The left side, the Christmas tree inside the house photo. My MIL always loved big Christmas trees and she got one this year. I bet you the heckled her for that. But she loved decorating for Christmas.

Then on the right side, there is a paper in dad’s hand that says HELP. It saddens me that no one else in the family finds that as funny as I do.

I love this sentiment for donation cards.
The patterned paper is by The Paper Studio

The sentiment stamp is by Great Impressions

Thanks for looking. You can stop here.

Before I go...
I have a small rant on the new Blogger format.
It has been such a hassle for me for the following reasons:

Adding labels takes soooooo much time.
Move cursor.
Type in there.
Click label.
Click apply here.
REPEAT FOR EACH LABEL!
And I have to point out that the delete icon is right next to the label icon. Buyer beware.
So what's the big deal? I like labels.
I can go to the search box and type the word Graduation.
~Poof~ my graduation projects appear. I can look and see if I've posted a project before or just scroll thru my old stuff
Side note, in 2009 when I started my blog, I didn't know what labels were and didn't use them. So when I see an old post without labels, I add them. My complaint is, adding labels to those old posts was easier and took less time with the old Blogger format.

When I load a picture to a blog post, the pictures are sized as extra-large. Now I admit, the XL pictures are nice to look at to see the detail of the card or LO but that size picture doesn't fit on my Blog's template.
So that is something that I could fix but don't know exactly how.

Park City Anniversary Card

This bottle cap came from my cousin in Utah and Park City is where she got engaged. So I'm usin g this cap for their anniversary card.

The card base is a kraft pre-made Recollections card. I find I end up with a lot of 2" by 6" strips of patterned paper because I sometimes use the 6x6 paper pads. This card utilizes two of these scraps. I adhered the Pink Paislee patterned paper strips to each side of the card base and covered the seam with a Mrs. Grossman's sticker. I used a border punch by EK Success on the right side edge and then the doily is by Doodlebug Designs.

Thanks for looking.

Let's Celebrate Card

I have a very simple card to share today. The flower stamp is by Stampin Up that I colored in with colored pencils. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with distress ink. The border punch is by EK Success. The sentiment stamp and pennant die cut are by Lawn Fawn. The lined sticker behind the pennant is by Mrs. Grossman's. I cut the sticker on the top and bottom with decorative scissors. There are two yellow brads on each end.
