Floral Friday single flower birthday card

The white background has a small shaded area of red in the center. l sprayed that white background with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. The green cardstock is by Sunborn. The red layer of cardstock I inked direct to paper with my dying Aged Mahogany distress ink pad.
The frame is out of an old package that I will have to find.
The flower stamp is from Close to my Heart. I colored it in with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out. The sentiment is my new favorite by Memory box. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Just for You card

The floral die cut is by Scrapbooking Made Simple. I cut it out of yellow cardstock. I made a background using red and olive distress ink on a white piece of cardstock. I was hoping that adding the ink would make the flower look better. Not so much. The sentiment is from my stash. I sprayed the entire card with water mixed in with perfect pearls. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Roses Slimline cards

On this first card, I inked the stencil with pigment inks by Colorbox onto vellum with white stripes. Then I heat set it with clear embossing powder by Hero Arts. From there, I just cut it down, added mats behind it, added some rhinestones and then added a sentiment onto a red die cut.

This second card has the same background just on Sizzix gold opulent paper.

You can see the heat embossing on this picture. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Paper Pieced Sunflower Sympathy Card

The sunflower background die is from Scrapbooking Made Simple. I used a host of old patterned papers by Provo Craft to paper piece the petals back into the die. The center of the flower is brown flock by Inkadinkado.
Then, sigh, I matted the flower die panel onto another piece of patterned paper from that same paper pad. Well…it was crooked and for some reason I thought that I could straighten it out making the same marginal frame around the edges using pinking shears. It didn’t. SMH! I decided to make the whole thing look uneven by trimming the edges in different areas and ways. I made it look like it was supposed to be distressed.
The card base is from Current. I inked the edges so it wouldn’t stick out and compete with the white sentiment label. The sentiment is by Stampendous and it’s cut out with a Spellbinders die.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Heat Embossed frame card

This frame die is by Scrapbooking Made Simple. I tapped the die cut with a Versa Mark ink pad. Then I added embossing folder. I added pink on the flowers and green on the leaves. It sort of worked. Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Paint Brush card

This is a simple card but it did take a while to arrange the flowers. I tried to follow the example on the back of the package. I did silver paper for the top of the paint brush. I think that’s what they look like. The burgundy paper is from my stash, and the patterned paper is by Studio G. Thanks for looking. I hope there’s something in your day that makes you smile.

Floral Friday Flower die card

Patterned paper by Paper Favourites. Floral die cut by Scrapbooking Made Simple. The grey paper that outlines the flowers is the product of a heat embossed background stamp failure. I didn’t get a complete image. In an attempt to save it, I covered it with distress ink. The background still looked like crap so I’m using it for die cutting.

Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Part of a Flower Die Cut

The die cut in this card is by Scrapbooking Made Simple. I colored the cardstock with Copic markers. The die is a frame but I cut it apart and added it to the card base. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

I used a stencil to create clouds in the background.

This is how the last card looks before the overlay (pictured below) is glued on.

Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Spring Flowers sentiment

I apologize for the poor quality of the picture. I hadn’t taken it myself, but I wanted to send it to my stepmom. Consequently, I snapped the photo in my kitchen on a gloomy, cold day.

The patterned paper is by Jillibean Soup. The stamp is by Couture Creations. I colored it in with Copic markers. I’m not sure what happened but one flower was cut off. Hmm. The sentiment is unknown. I love the rest of it. On the inside it says: “ Spring is in the air and your birthday is too”. I think it fits the image perfectly. I added some sequins from Fun Journeys Stampers. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday with pre-made card base card

I used a card base with a patterned card front. Then I sprayed a separate piece of white cardstock with Glimmer Mist. The floral die cut is by Sizzix, the square was cut out with my Cricut, and the label is from eBay. The sentiment is unknown. Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Altered Die cut card

The circular floral design is originally a heart. I stretched it out to go around the circle. You could call it a wreath. So now that I told you it was originally a heart can you see the heart? You don’t always have to use a die for its sole purpose.
The floral die is by Sizzix and the Celebrate die is by Crafters Companion. The little heart die cuts are from my stash.
The brown circle die is from 2008 when my Mom and I went to the Mega Meet in Novi, MI. We received a goodie bag from one of our classes and they were inside of it. It has a texture to it that reminds me of the old fold out cards. You would open the card and the shape inside of it would fan open. I’ll have to find out what the name of it.
The pattern paper is older than the circle die cut. I would put it at 2005 and it is by Provo Craft. Using up my stash.

This card uses the same patterned paper.

The middle element was saved from  a store bought card.

Floral Friday Thinking of You card

I die cut the flower which is connected to the white square. The sentiment is the Draw and Cut from Cricut. The die cut behind the the flower is by…BUT the patterned paper is by Anna Griffin and the gold background paper is from Creative Memories. All of this is on a black cardstock base.

Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday heart wreath card

I inked the lower part of the card with distress ink. I sprayed the card and red cardstock with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels. I covered the seam between the red cardstock and the inked card base with gold paper is by Sizzix.

I don’t know where the heart image is from and I’m not certain about the butterfly stamps either.  Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Heart Border Celebrate card

This is the first card I made overlapping the heart stamp border. It goes with the other anniversary cards. But I don’t love this version of the card as much as the others. It’s a nice card for someone. It’s just not my favorite.
The side panels are from a store-bought card. The sentiment die cut is by Sizzix. The heart rhinestones, which I don’t care for, are by The Paper Studio. Embellishing cards is awkward for me. It never looks…right. Anyway, the ink that I used on the heart stamp is by Stampin Up.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

The sentiment is unknown. Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Oxide background Poinsettia Christmas

I made this card for Craft Roulette #206. The parameters were: Project-card with a heart (the word heart is in the sentiment). Colors-vintage (I think it looks vintage). Element-plant (pontisettia). Random- lace in the base (there’s lace on the card base.).

I started by stamping a bunch of panels with the poinsettia in the center and the sprigs in the corners. I colored this one with Copic markers but hated it so I heat embossed another one on watercolor paper and colored it in with watercolors. I dislike this one too. But due to time constraints, I had to go with it.

So what is it that I don’t like about the new flower? There's no definition that the flower has petals. There’s no dimension. When you have different shades of colors added you can look as though one petal is under another.

Anyway, I created the background with distress oxide and spritzed it with water. Then I added pre-adhesive lace to make it look like a present.
