Floral Friday Majorie’s birthday card

The only floral is on a tiny piece of patterned paper.

I stamped the butterfly stamps that came from Dollar Tree onto cream cardstock by Cricut and I colored them in with Copic Markers. I cut them out by hand and then used pop dots to adhere to the wings.

The patterned paper in this card comes from: are you ready for this? Cardstock doesn’t count. From the top-down, My Mind’s Eye. Die cuts with a View. Provo Craft. Recollections. Strathmore watercolor paper with a random color mix. Die Cuts with a View, Provo Craft, My Mind’s Eye, and Christmas paper on them both by Anna Griffin. The sentiment is an old embossing folder. It's one of the small ones and I just inked it with distress ink.

Thank for looking.

Gold 50th Anniversary Card

I made this card using the sketch from...IDK
Found it.
This sketch was my saving grace for this anniversary card.
The patterned paper is by Anna Griffin. The gold paper is by CM and it's dry embossed with a Crafter's Companion. The 50 is a SU stamp and it was heat embossed with gold glitter embossing powder by Stampendous. I rarely use it because it never seems to give the results I'm looking for. This one out of 5 made the cut making it to the card. The gold twine is from my stash. The black cardstock is popped up on foam adhesive.
Thank you for looking.

Online Card Class Day 1 Embossing Christmas card with rhinestones Card

I do not have 3D embossing folders. This folder is new so I used it. Another thing from the class that I used as inspiration is adding rhinestones to the center of the flowers and on the patterned paper by Provo Craft. is I haven't been put sequins of rhinestones on cards.
The rubber stamp says @Magenta made in Canada.

Christmas stuff out and I created these two cards too. That's what's taking me so long to get through the classes is the other products that I am discovering while making the card for the class.

Below, patterned paper by Carta Bella, and the center strip is a manufacturer strip. The center is a gift tag.

Strips of patterned paper are by Craft Smith (Top and Bottom) and Anna Griffin in the center.
Tree stamp by MyStamp Box was heat embossed with green powder.

Gold Merry and Bright card

This Christmas card was started by a woman that had to get rid of her stuff because she was going to live in assisted living. I cherish the many images I received from her and continue to enjoy adding them to my cards. I can only hope that I'm doing them justice.

The long stamped image is gold heat embossed and matted with a gold foil type paper. Then I matted it onto Die Cuts with a View dark red cardstock with a shimmer. The patterned paper on the right is by Anna Griffin. The sentiment is by Unity Stamp Co stamp.

Gold Christmas card

I started with a Christmas sentiment found on a recycled card and dry embossed it with an embossing folder by Darcie.  I  liked the gold in this card and kept it as part of the theme throughout. The background paper is by Anna Griffin and gold thread by Martha Stewart. Star button from my stash.

 Thank you for stopping by.

Pretty Tag Embellishments

This first embellishment is a Spellbinders rectangle die that I stamped with an Anna Griffin background stamp with Colorbox pigment ink. I stamped the flower (Stampin Up) and used the matching punch to cut it out. I also used that same punch for a piece of foam to adhere together with the stamped image. I layered the circles together and placed the flower on top. I added an American Crafts pennant to use as a place to add the date.

In this second one, I die-cut the two layers using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge. On the bottom layer, I stamped a Hero Arts background with Versa Mark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. On the die cut closer to the top I wrapped navy ribbon around it and tied it into a bow.

I thought it needed a little bit more so I dug around in my goodies and came across the Hero Arts stamped love flower on a circle die cut. I added a scallop punch (Stampin Up) out of Die Cuts with a View patterned paper behind it. I set a purple-ish-colored eyelet in the center and adhered it down.

My method of taking pictures back then gave terrible resolution. So the original is clearer than the extra-large view of the tags.

Happy Holidays Teddy Bear Card

The teddy bear stamp on my card today is by PSX. Not much of this card is mine but rather the lady I received the Christmas stamps from. I adhered the bear on the red paper crooked and added the holly punch to the corner to cover a blemish. The patterned paper in the background is by Anna Griffin. The sentiment has been gold heat embossed.

Christmas Candles Cards

This post might be an overload but I thought it was too repetitious to do in single posts. All of the cards use a candle stamp that I heat embossed with some different embossing powders. The stamp itself is not square shape which threw me off so I hand cut the image out on each one.

The first one I used a gold matte embossing powder and colored the candles in with distress markers. It would have worked better had I used watercolor paper. Lesson learned-maybe. The holly paper is by Anna Griffin and the red is unknown. The sentiment is also unknown but the ampere is a Quickutz die out of gold paper.

This next one is embossed with a glitter gold by Stampendous. It's not my favorite because I can't seem to get the whole image with a consistent glitter to powder ratio. I think it's me because another card maker loves the glitter embossing powders. The background and green paper is by Making Memories and the die cut is by Sizzix/Tim Holtz.

I tried the glitter embossing again and still don't care for it. The sentiment stamp is from the same unknown stamp set from above. The red cardstock is sprayed with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.

Then I went way out there and tried a different color combo. Silver embossing (Hero Arts) with Faber-Castell colored pencils to color in the candles. Background paper and ribbon by Stampin Up. I'm not sure about the strip of paper in the center but the oval behind the image (which I cut in half to show it on the top and the bottom and is not centered) is cardstock by Coredinations. The oval was a negative of a Cricut cut.

That's all for now. Thanks for looking.

Oh Christmas Tree Glitter heat embossing Card

Autry James Layout

This little guy was born in October as stated  and they sent this in November and then a Christmas card in December. Can you say Super Mom! The pennants are made up with a bunch of scraps I found in my drawer. I tend to start my layouts by going to my scrap folders first. It gives me a place to start and I hate to throw the scraps away.

Pennants from left to right: patterned paper by Prima; next is an Anna Griffin stamp in Hero Arts Cornflower shadow ink on a gray SU cardstock; Coredinations brown cardstock; blue strips is My Mind's Eye; the dark color underneath is a green by Basic Grey; leaf patterned paper by Prima; glitter paper by Recollections; blue cardstock by Recollections that has been stamped with a Hero Arts stamp with Charcoal HA ink. The background paper is really old and from my aunt's stash that she gave me. The date and ink are by Stampin Up.

Thanks for looking.

Our awesome Neighbor's Christmas Card from 2010 Layout

A new layout today to add to my Christmas card book. I used patterned paper from Stampin Up, Bo Bunny, Die Cuts with a View, Anna Griffin, My Mind's Eye, and Recollections glitter paper.  I followed the sketch at (My Creative Sketches THE BLOG CLOSED IN 2017 BUT STILL HAS SOME GREAT EXAMPLES TO CHECK OUT). I also used the Cricut and cartridge Don Juan for my title and Plantin Schoolbook for the circles.

Christmas Cards all Year Round

Hi there. I just wanted to pop in and let you know that June Christmas Cards all Year Round challenge {Angels} is on for about 4 and 1/2 more days.

I made another angel card for the challenge using a vintage gift tag found in my MIL's things when they moved her out of her home. I just loved the innocence and colors that the tag had to offer. I paired it up with some Anna Griffen patterned paper and matted the tag with PP by Little Yellow Bicycle. The rectangle die cut is by Spellbinders that I inked (Ranger Distress ink) up red to match the rest of my card. I centered the angels to the side so I could wrap the floss-like string around the edge. The string was a pastel green and didn't match the green in my card. I ran the string through a Stampin Up ink pad and let it dry overnight. Once the ink was dry I was good to go on adding it to my die cut piece.

The glittery chipboard on the right side of the card is by Studio G. I added some rhinestones by Sticko to the ends and the center. The letters at the bottom are from a ad by Hot off the Press.

Mr and Mrs Wedding card

For my card today it is for a wedding. This is the wedding season and I need to beef up my sock at the stores.

I used Anna Griffin patterned paper for the background. Layered on top of it is a piece of white cardstock that is heat embossed with a Hero Arts background stamp. The ink used was Versa Mark and the embossing powder was myStamp Box. The lace on the far left is by American Crafts and the ribbon over it is by We R Memory Keepers. I embellished the card with probably too much stuff but I'll tell you their manufacturer. The cake is by Jolee's, the chipboard sparkly flourishes by Recollections, the glittery tag is by Forever in Time, Sentiment sticker by EK Success and the brad by Creative Imaginations.

Well that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Rainbow Birthday

I'm not really one for rainbows but I had all these different color embossing powders by Stamp N Plus and I wanted to give them a try. The background stamps are by Anna Griffin but they are small for backgrounds and I wanted to test them out each using it's own embossing powder color. I did spray them with water and Perfect Pearls after adhering them onto some black patterned paper. The sentiment stamp is by Stampendous in Hero Arts black ink. The circle punch is by Creative Memories with the brad by Eyelet Outlet. I used Versa Mark ink for the embossing.

Thanks for looking.
