Here I am again with my DT card for the Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge. Our challenge theme this fortnight is Butterflies or things that flutter.
I managed to get this adorable hAnglar stamp on Ebay not so long ago and she was a joy to colour.
I used papers form the MME Tangerine pad and combined them with a few flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I cut the butterfly using two matching Memory Box dies and I really like the double-layer effect.
As usual, my teamies at LhoSM have made gorgeous inspiration projects, so do hop over and check them out here.
Hope you can join in our challenge - there's a GDT spot up for grabs for the winner!

It's new challenge time at Sweet Stampin'! The challenge theme is "Girly" which fits beautifully with the gorgeous images created by this week's sponsor, Saturated Canary.
I love SC images but admit that I find them a little challenging to colour. More practice needed, I think!
Ava has been coloured with Copics and matched with papers from the Girls Paperie (how I miss these papers!). I added die cuts made from Cheery Lynn (border) and La La Land (corners), little roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and ribbon from my stash.
My lovely teamies have made some gorgeous creations which you can see here.
I'm so happy to be on holiday at last. It's been a long term. We still have some snow but it's melting gradually now that the sun is shining. Our local farmers have been incredible, clearing roads with their tractors (no sign of the council). We were without power for over 24 hours but as uncomfortable as that was, just a few miles away people were off for 3 or 4 days! The joys of rural life and overhead cable.
And what exciting things do I have planned for the holidays? Hmmm... well, my hoover has packed up so I'm going to trade it in at Currys - OK, so it's not that exciting but believe me, my joy will be unbounded when I can get the dog hair off my living room carpet!
See you tomorrow with my DT card for the Lovely hAnglar challenge.

Actually, I don't normally need an excuse for chocolate as I can quite easily justify the need to eat some, whenever and wherever! No wonder that I bring out this hAnglar stamp set every Easter - what's not to like about a whole basket of chocolate?
We're celebrating Easter a little bit early over at Sweet Stampin' this week - yes, we'd like to see your Easter creations, please! I decided not to make a card this time, but instead made a tag to go on an Easter gift - which will no doubt be a chocolate egg!
and we have the Ribbon Girl as the sponsors of our monthly prize draw. So there's two good reasons to join in the fun! Why not come over here and see the gorgeous inspiration projects my fab teamies have made?
Have a great day!

I stamped the images of the boy and the basket onto watercolour card and painted them with DIs and Distress Markers. The basket was fixed to the main image with foam tape, and the whole lot was then adhered to the tag with foam pads. The DP on the tag is by Prima, the ribbon is from my stash (American Crafts, I think) and the little roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Time for a new challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and our theme this month is No Red or Green.
I thought that I was doing rather well until the lovely Abi pointed out that I'd put leaves (yup, those green things that hang off trees) on my card! So just ignore those, folks!
I used Magnolia papers as a background for my hAnglar and StAnglar image, which I coloured with Copics. I added plenty of Glamour Dust to her wings and gold Stickles to the bauble.
The felt flower was made with a Dienamics die and I added a mixture of Wild Orchid Crafts stamens as well as those pesky leaves!
I do hope you can play along at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' this month. We're sponsored by Flat Friends who are giving away 4 digis to one lucky winner.

Hello again! There's a new challenge over at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia! It's a really easy theme this fortnight: we'd like to see ribbon or trim on your designs, please!
I love my ribbon - the evidence is in a big ribbon storage bag which is bursting at the seams - and I'm paricularly partial to a bit of gingham, so what better excuse to use some than this fab challenge?
Here's my card:
I love this little hAnglar girl, which I bought on Ebay a little while ago. I coloured her with Copics and inked the edges of the white card with Shabby Shutters DI. The kraft card has been punched with a Martha Stewart PATP and I stitched MME papers on top. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from my stash.
There's a GDT spot for the winning entry, so if you like hAnglar & StAnglar and/or Magnolia stamps, this is the challenge for you!
See you soon!

Mornin'! It's Saturday, so it must be time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'! This week we'd like to see embossing (any kind) on your projects. We're being sponsored by Sir Stampalot who are giving away Molly Blooms stamps to one lucky winner and our monthly sponsor for March is the Ribbon Girl.
I opted for dry embossing using a floral folder which was free in a magazine. The embossing was the easy part - I really struggled with the old mojo and will freely admit that the first attempt ended up being pulled apart as I was so unhappy with it.
Spot the deliberate mistake - I forgot to blend the shading on her hand and legs and didn't notice until the photo was uploaded - oops!
I used Magnolia DP and matched this with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lace doily was in my stash and the lovely butterflies are from the latest Memory Box collection.
The Team Abi Sweeties have made the most gorgeous inspiration cards so do hop over here to take a peek. We're also welcoming the lovely Barb to the team as our Guest Designer this month.
I'm going to keep it short and sweet as I want to get the housework and my school work done today. I'll be back tomorrow with my Lovely hAnglar DT card.
Enjoy your day!
