Love beauty & Celebration

Good afternoon,

I hope everybody had a nice weekend? I  enjoyed being home after being stuck for 1 1/2 week in Syros, finally on Wednesday a ferry came and we could come back to Athens.

I will share with you today two layouts, that i made while in Syros.
They are for different challenges and here they are:

"I love your beauty"
The first layout is for Berry71blue & Once upon a sketch & Flying Unicorn

For Flying Unicorn the challenge is "in the pink"
The challenge is to have at least 75% or more pink, the word : LOVE visible, flowers & 1 metal embellishment. As i did not have any metal embellishment i used a button that i had from a sweater that i bought in syros as i was running out of clothes.

For the Berry71blue the challenge is White Space.
White space is the portion of a page left unmarked in visual arts.

For Once upon a sketch the challenge is Love and this is the sketch.

The journaling is written on a heart and is hidden behind the picture:
I love your beauty
A person can be beautiful on the outside, but true beauty comes from the inside.
You have it both!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
 " Celebration"

This layout is for Sketchabilities & Flying unicorn.

This is the sketch fir sketchabilities:

For Flying unicorn the challenge is to use black accents.
I think it is quit obvious as  i used black buttons, wings, i stamped the little hearts with black ink and i used black dylusion spray on the background and on the hot air balloon.
The paper and Hot air balloon are all from Fabscraps.

Thanks for stopping by,
Have a great day!

Berry71blue: Fun in the snow

Good morning all,

Today it's time for Berry71blue.
The host for this month is Vicky Varvadouka and her challenge for this month is

White Christmas!!!
(or white winter for those that don't celebrate Christmas)
Create whatever you want as long as it has a white background as a base and is related to Christmas/winter

This is my take on the challenge:

I decided to do a monochromatic layout with white, cream & beige colors.
My first time to ever do this, so it was an experiment to find all these colors.
As it was a challenge almost all embellishments used are hand made.

Both circles are identical on each size, the big white flowers and big circles are
handmade as well as all the resin snowflakes.

All the chipboard used are from :

You wont be able to see it on the picture, but i sprayed the white back ground
with sparkles to give it a holiday effect.

The prize
Our sponsor from Poland -  13 @rts were very generous and offered a paper collection for our winner this month!!! We are also offering our Merit Winner an opportunity to

I decided to do some cutting, the round little doilies around the picture and i added some chipboard from scrap fx and some flowers from manor house that i sprayed purple to match the layout. (see flowers left top corner) All can be purchased at  Zeus & Zoe."

I used papers from the 7 dots collections below:

Berry 71 Blue " Crazy little angel"

Hello everybody!

I hope you are all having a good start of your week.
Today i will share my lay out for Berry 71 blue, the challenge for this
month is " Going Crazy" by agnieska.

Like a tornado i went over this page, i used a sheet of the " hopefully " collection of 7Dots and some scrapfx chipboard, together with some modelling paste, dylusions sprays, masks, gold paint, black ultra thick embossing enamel and this is my result:

I started with the modeling paste and a mask, below you can see the flowers of the mask.
After i used all the different sprays combined with the gold paint it gives a very cool effect.

An angel has wings, so i added them on the page and gave it a funky kick.

Before i added the chipboard below the picture i used it as a mask on the page.
The black below the chipboard is the melted thick embossing enamel.
It was a left over from another project and i just melted it in my melting pot and made this design.

It is a great challenge to really go crazy and to think out of the box!!

So get everything on the table and join our challenge

Day dreaming - Berry71blue

Good Morning to you all,

Today it is my turn to show you my project for the month of October.
As you all know, keren has this wonderful challenge up this month

"Mixed Media Madness"

Story behind the picture:
I went to a lovely wedding on the island of Rhodes a few weeks ago.
This is Leo, the son of the bride and groom. After running around the whole day he had a little moment and put his head on his fathers shoulder to rest.
And that was my moment to take this gorgeous picture.

What did i not use on this layout??
I used Modeling paste, Dylusions ink sprays, fine glitter paint, distress ink, stamps.
As you can also see i used some lovely goodies from the Zeus and Zoe shop. HERE
Beautiful flowers of Manor house and some lovely golden buttons.

The chipboard hot air balloon:
I first colored it with copic markers, than i added ( Tattered angels ) glimmer glaze on top of it to give it a shimmer. I wanted to give it a look, so it seemed that it was flying trough the clouds.....so i sprayed some dylusional ink spray over the balloon. The glaze and ink spray did not blend very well, but it was perfect for the effect that i wanted to give. After i added the stamp of the hot air balloon so it gave a shadow effect.

The sentiment: May your travels lead you to some amazing places.
I thought it fits nicely with the picture because the little man was dreaming away.

Before i glued down the chipboard in the left hand corner i sprayed over it with brown and turquoise ink spray.

Products used:

Paper: Fabscrap
Flowers: Manor house and wild orchard.
Chipboards: Scrap FX & imaginarium
Buttons: Zeus & Zoe
Little house: Prima marketing
Ink spray: Ranger
Stamps: Inkadinkado

September Steampunk Challenge by Channa

Good Morning All,

September has started and that means that it's time for me to host the Berry71Blue Challenge!

The Challenge for this month is STEAMPUNK! I wanted to do something different and use Marivic tag in another scenery. So your challenge for this month is to use any kind of steampunk element/embellishment on your craft project. To give you some ideas, i have put together an inspirational picture.

My layout for this month is nothing like i have ever done before, so for me it was a challenge also. With a little help from one of our lovely sponsors this month i created this layout.Using the Victorian tag from marivic combined with rods, metal elements, screws basically lots of items that i found in my husbands toolbox.

Our 1st Challenge sponsor:

Welcome to Mold Muse. We have been working with clay and resin since 1978 and making molds for over 20 years. Our experience brings you excellent quality molds using only high grade silicone rubber, not too soft, not too hard and perfect for highly detailed pieces and a long mold life.

All molds are handmade by Ludi and her husband.
Have a look at there etsy shop HERE

Mold muse prize:$25.00 gift certificate

To show how to use these molds i have made a small tutorial. I used Fimo polymer clay but you can also use resin. The molds are really easy to use and easy to clean. As you have seen on my layout i used several molds for this project. Because they are so easy to use i have used different colors of clay to make many little embellishments.

1. Take a mold, Clay and a knife
2. Roll a small ball of clay that will fit in the mold.
3. Press the ball in the mold, until the whole shape is covered. Make sure that you press it gently so all the details are pressed in your clay.
4. With very little force the clay will fall out of the mold.
5. As i used Fimo polymer clay you have to oven bake it for 30min on 110 Celsius/270 Fahrenheit.
6.After you take it out of the oven and let it cool down a little bit... and they are ready to use!!

We are very blessed this month because we have two Challenge Sponsors this month!!

Our 2nd Sponsor is:

Studio75 is a Polish manufacturer of scrapbooking papers and other craft embellishments.

Have a look at there store HERE
And there blogHERE

Studio71 Prize: The entire summer&latte collection.

The colors of this collection are beautiful, soft yellow, green, blue.
For this project i decided to make an altered tissue box.
All papers and chipboard used are from the Summer&Latte collection.
