New Girlz and the Art of Letters Challenge - Q

For me Q is for quarters (with my patterned paper) and also quotation - when I Googled it I found that this quotation came from Dolly Parton!

New Alphabet Challenge - T is for Texture

 


We're back today on the Alphabet Challenge Blog with a new challenge:


This time we have the theme T is for texture.  For more details about the challenge and to see the cards from the rest of the team, head over to the challenge blog here.

To make my card I used an embossing folder which came free with a craft magazine.  I cut the pale blue card from Craft Creations into three pieces, taped it back together and then embossed it.  I separated it again and then matted the pieces on to navy blue card from Hobbycraft.

Then I stamped the 'Beautiful Kindness' stamp from Crafty Roo onto the pale blue card and die cut this with a Stampin' Up die.  The scalloped mat is from Spellbinders.

Christmas Craft Creations Challenge Reminder - Stencilling

 


We've reached the half way point in our current challenge on the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge:

To make my card I used a snowflake stencil from Stampin' Up with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and my blending brush.  

I started with a 12cm square piece of card and then cut it in half to make two cards.

For this card I used a sentiment from Uniko stamped three time and added some clear gems.

New Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes/Use a Snowflake or Two or More

To make my card I used a Crafty Roo Designs stamp set with Magenta Madness ink from Stampin' Up.

I layered the stamped panel with black paper and added some black gems to finish the card.

As You Like It Challenge - favourite tip and why - always use a stamping platform to stamp images so you get the perfect result and don't end up wasting card and ink.  I stamped this image three times to get an even result and the intensity of colour I wanted

New Merry Little Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes

To make my card I used a stamp set I bought recently from Crafty Roo Designs stamped in Delicata silver ink.

I layered it on to black and silver paper and then finished the card with some tiny black gems in the middle of each of the snowflakes.

To make my card I stencilled Stampin' Up Gorgeous Grape ink on to a small panel of white card using a stencil which was a cover gift from Making Cards magazine.

I used a stamp from Crafty Roo Designs and layered with some purple card from Craft Creations.

New Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog - Anything Goes


It's time for a new challenge on the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and, as always, it's anything Christmas goes.

I've made a very simple card using a piece of the beautiful First Frost patterned paper from Stampin' Up.  I just cut it down to size and matted it on to black paper.

I used the Magic of Christmas stamp from Crafty Roo and finished the card with some clear gems on the flowers and then in the corners of the main panel.

New Mix It Up Challenge - Anything Goes/Masking


There's a new challenge today on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog and this month it's anything goes with the option to use masking.

I've used reverse masking on my card applying Distress Inks through an aperture cut with a circle die.

I then stamped using the grass and birds from Stampin' Up stamp sets and the words are a stamp from Crafty Roo Designs.

New Mix It Up Challenge - Anything Goes/Watecolouring


This month on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog it's anything goes with the option to use watercolouring.

My card isn't strictly water coloured but I did use inks and water!

I used a Poly Plate from Crafty Roo Designs with Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks.  I applied these to the Poly Plate and then spritzed with water before stamping.

I then stamped the 'Joy of Christmas' sentiment stamp, also from Crafty Roo Designs in black ink.
