Baby Time-SSS123

See, I told you I was on a roll this week! Next up is a baby card!  I will be needing a few of these in the next little bit, but for now, this one for a precious baby boy.

 August26_2011_SSS123

I have used Korin's fab sketch from The Sweet Stop for my layout along with a fun image from Doodle Palace I believe...I can't seem to get to their webstore right now, but I think that's who it's from.  The baby boy sentiment is from a fun Unity set I just received.  Paper is Echo Park.

Today is a home day!  I thought we need a day to just chill before the 5:45am wake up call begins...for me anyway, kids get to sleep in a bit longer:-)

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!!

Unity -AMYRS72

I had the greatest idea as soon as I saw Amy's sketch this week but it totally didn't come together like the idea in my head. Anyway, here is the card I made. I used a Unity quote and all CTMH papers. I colored the stamp with CTMH markers first, then huffed and stamped it onto SU Shimmery White cs.

I inked the edges of the quote oval and the mat with a way too full ink pad (I forgot I just re-inked it but was committed after I started)!! Oooops. The ribbon is from my stash from Taylored Expressions and I added wee rhinestones (CTMH) to the flower centers on the quote. I did leave off the sentiment and fill the card up more than the sketch because I have the quote in there as the focal point, there wasn't a need for a sentiment.

All in all I still think it's pretty although it didn't come together quite like I was thinking!

We had a super weekend. The kids just got in from a ride now and I took a bunch of pictures...I will upload them after and post some tomorrow. Now that Kirsten's camp is done we have a pretty uneventful week coming up. We are going to Calaway Park on Thursday with my friend Amy and her 2 sweet girls Kyra and Kaylee, the kids get along great, so I think it'll be a great day!

Other than that I will just be starting to get the 5th wheel ready for our holidays at the end of the month and laundry, there's never a shortage of that around here!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a super week ahead.

Sweet Thing~MOJO Monday #68

Well I know I am late with this card, so I obviously didn't enter it over on the Mojo Monday blog, but I love how it turned out. I had no internet this morning which was only part of my problem. With no internet I couldn't sit down with my cup of coffee and read my Google Reader, so instead I had a brilliant idea for this card. But by the time my internet was back up and working it was after the 12:00 MST deadline anyway. I still didn't have picts taken, so I can't blame it all onthe internet though:-)
This sparkly creation will be heading out tomorrow for one of my blogging buddies birthdays...I won't say who so it's a surprise when she gets it.
I used last weeks Mojo Monday Sketch #68 for the layout and my Unity cupcake stamps. Colored them in with my Copics and added some stardust stickles to the chocolate cupcake and the cherry on top and then used my stardust glitter pen and added some glitter to the cupcake liners, used some pretty pink rhinestones for some more sparkle! The cs is from SU as well as I used the last bits of my SU Sweet Always DSP I received from my friend Dawn. No fear though, I have a brand new package waiting for me...I think!
Thanks so much for visiting! Have a super night!!

Giddy Up~SC195

I can't believe I actually completely finished a SCS sketch card on the same day...well same day for me...probably tomorrow already for most of you! I really love this stamp set, there are even a couple more stamps that have not seen ink yet, but they will in the not so distant future I'm sure. A set like this works so well with our lifestyle, so I'm sure it will get a ton of use!
The card is actually quite big, I made it 6" x6" to accommodate most of the poem on the front panel, it still didn't fit in my 3.75" square but I really wasn't making it any bigger:-) I ran the Twilight paper through my CB with the Paisley folder! I really love that folder lately! The papers are all from the Sasparilla paper collection from CTMH as are the edge anchors and the stamps are from Unity.
Kirsten is done school for the week which is so nice to just be at home tomorrow anyway...I have laundry calling my name...I don't have a problem washing, drying and folding it, but man I dread putting it away..I guess that's why both Landon and Kirsten each have a basket full to be put away! Oh well...I don't think it will be that long and Kirsten can start putting her own clothes away. She does help out now, but I don't think I would trust her efforts if I left the whole basket to her:-)
I am creeping up on my 1000th comment!!!! (yes I know I am a nerd for keeping track, but when I started my blog I didn't really think anyone other than my obligated sisters and close friends would visit) so I will have a special treat for the lucky 1000th commenter...soon, it will be soon, it's very close already!!
Have a great evening/morning and thank you for stopping by!!

Happy 65th Larkin!!

Hello, hello! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!! We didn't really do much of anything here today. Lance tidied up around the yard and that's about all.
Tomorrow is my FIL's 65th birthday, so I made this card for him. We are all going for brunch tomorrow along with my SIL, niece, Lance's aunt Linda and a few other friends. We bought him a digital picture frame and I already uploaded it with pictures for him, so he just can plug it in and away he goes.
I used my friend Nikki's sketch and really like it. She has just started a new blog for all her sketches and has some really awesome ones!! Her main blog rocks as well!
I embossed the main image with Espresso embossing powder and used all CTMH papers from the Sasparilla pack, love those!! I then used my new Unity stamps for the 2 circle embellies up in the corner. I put the Happy Birthday sentiment on the inside as I didn't really leave enough room on the front. I actually finished the inside of the card as well, but totally forgot to take a picture...
Off I scoot to get the children..and hubby too....in to bed, it's waaaaaay past their bedtime, good thing tomorrow isn't a school day:-)
Have a wonderful evening and a great Sunday!
