Lili Of The Valley - Love Gnomes #2

 Evening Everyone

I'm back again to share the last of my cards using the Lili Of The Valley new releases. Once again I used one of the cute 'Love Gnomes'; I love this set as they're so easy to colour up and cut out. For today's card I decide to use lilac as my main colour, as I think it really suits him. :) I used Copic pens to colour with. I hope you like it.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did & Used
First, I covered the front of a 6" x 6" card front with some pretty ombre paper, leaving  slim border around the edge. Next, I die cut a scalloped square frame from white card 4 x times then glued and stacked them up. The frame was glued into the centre of the card front.

I created a ' Happy Anniversary' sentiment and printed it onto white card using my laser printer, then added purple foil over the top using my Minc foiling machine. The sentiment topper was then die cut into a inverted square using the same scalloped frame die as before. Lilac ink was applied to the bottom left hand corner; when the ink was dry the topper was glued inside the frame.

The adorable love gnome was stamped onto colouring card, coloured with Copic pens, and then fussy cut out. White dots were added to the heart the gnome is holding, then glued inside the frame. To finish the card off, I added a purple glitter die cut hearts, a few pearls and a little glitter to the bow.

I covered the front of a 6" x 6"white card blank with a piece of trimmed down pink patterned paper.  The cute bear and her flowers were stamped out onto watercolouring card to create a little scene, a curved line was drawn across the bottom section to create a hillside. When the sky was dry, a thin layer of green paint was added to the bottom section of the scene to create the grass. The masks were then removed. The finished scene was die cut into a square.

The images were coloured with distress ink making sure they were kept them light and pretty. The grass was created by adding lots of flicks of green ink in varying colour and thickness to it. The completed scene was attached to a white scalloped square frame, and funky foam was added to the back. The completed topper was mounted onto the card front. A sentiment from the set was stamped onto a die cut heart and a little watercolour ink was added around the edge. To finish the card, the heart was added to the card front with foam pads, and a glitter to the pink hearts.

 Happy New Year Everyone

I have plans this year to be more creative and do thing for 'me', I'm planning to get back into drawing, painting and sewing which I really miss, as well my usual crafting. I hope you have some plans to spend more 'me' time too.

Anyhow, onto today's post. Today I'm sharing the first of my Lili Of The Valley cards using one of the new polymer stamps which launch in their etsy store today (1/1/23). The new collections include The new sets include 'Sweet Bears', 'Bear Hug Tags', 'Cupid Tags', 'Love Sentiment Tags', 'Heart Mini Image Icon Tags', 'Mason Jars', 'Love Definitions' and 'Love Gnomes'. You're going to love them, they're are really cute. They could be used for birthday, anniversary, Valentines or simply to say 'I love you'. For my card today I used one of the 'Sweet Bear' and the balloons stamps in the set and teamed it with an old sentiment stamp. I thought he looked like he could be floating so I made a cloud scene. I hope you like it.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did & Used
I covered the front of a 5" x 7" top fold card with a piece of thin blue card. The sweet little bear and the balloons were stamped out, coloured with Copic pens, and then fussy cut out.

To create the background - a piece of blue patterned paper was inked up with 2 blue distress inks to create a cloudy sky, then die cut into a rectangle. A sentiment was printed onto a piece of white card and die cut into a rectangle (same die as before). The sentiment end was die cut again using a cloud border die. The opposite end of the rectangle was also cut with the cloud border die but this time slightly larger. Both clouds were layered up at the bottom of the blue sky paper along with 2 smaller clouds cut from white card - the over hangs were then trimmed off.

The completed scene was attached to a white scalloped rectangle frame and mounted flat onto the card front. The balloons and cut out bear were attached with Bakers Twine and glued to the card front floating in the clouds. To finish the card, I added a glitter to the white hearts and a few gems etc near the sentiment.

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration - January Week 4

Hi there everyone ðŸ’œ

Today I'm sharing another of our January releases, this time it's one of our fabulous digital papers. I've used the same paper in both cards to show how it can be used, and it belongs to a collection called 'Hearts A Flutter'. The collection contains 6 different 6" x 6" papers, all with a heart theme.

All the links to the specific Whimsy products can be found below and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
Using my graphics software I imported the digital papers and printed it directly onto some good quality smooth printer paper. On both cards I die cut the paper to size and give it a scalloped border. The paper was attached to the card front.

Card 1 - I die cut 3 hearts in different sizes using pink and red card, and then vellum. The hearts were laid flat over each other apart from the smallest which was raised up using foam pads. A computer generated sentiment was added to the card from along with a few gems, pearls and sequins.

Card 2 - a square was cut from white card and the centre was cut out using a slightly smaller square die to create a frame, this was added to the card front. Using a 'love' die from my own stash I cut it out from white card 4 times. The die cuts were gluing on top of each other to create a stack and added to the frame.  The word 'love' was cut again from red card, and the hearts that were cut out were glued inside the heart aperture on the card front. To complete the card, hearts that were the waste from the white 'love' die cut were added to the card front.

Here's What I Used
New Release Digital Paper: Hearts A Flutter'

Other: 6" x 6" White Scalloped Card Blank,  6" x 6" White Wavy Edge Card Blank, Red Card, Deep Red Card, Pink Card, White Card, Vellum, Square Layering Die (Tonic), Love Die (The Works), Heart Dies (Sizzix), Gems, Sequins, Mini Pearls, Mini Banner (Lawn Fawn)

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post - February (wk 2)

Hi lovely peeps 💜

Today it's my turn to share an inspirational card with you using one of the fabulous digital Whimsy stamps and papers.  This little cutie pie is called 'Bunny Boxers' which very apt, and the digi papers I used come from the Hearts Galore collection and Amour collection, which are beautiful. When I made this card I had my hubbie in mind, so I plan to give it to him for Valentines so I kept it CAS. The bunny was actually coloured digitally, which is a first for me, and I'm still learning how to use it. I used my new Ipad Pro (a Xmas present from my hubbie) and a fabulous app called Procreate.

All the links to the Whimsy products can be seen below. I hope you like it.

Here's What I Did
I attached a piece of red mirror card to a 7" x 7" card blank leaving a slim border. The patterned paper was printed directly onto thin white card and trimmed down to leave a slim border; a heart was die cut into the centre. The card was attached to the card front using foam pads to raise it up.

The bunny was hand coloured digitally using an Ipad Pro, Apple pencil and the Procreate App. When completed the bunny was printed and cut out, then a glaze pen was used on the hearts on his boxer shorts. The bunny was attached to the front of the aperture - it was glue flat onto the patterned card and foam pads added where the bunny lay over the mirror card. The words 'I Love U' and a few hearts were die cut from patterned paper and glued flat inside the aperture.

To complete the card 3 red enamel were added to the top left corner of the card front.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp: 'Bunny Boxers'
Digital Papers: 'Hearts Galore' and 'Amour'

Other:
