Craft Consortium - Faeries - Flower

 Hi there

Today I’m sharing another card for Craft Consortium using one of the stamp sets from the new 'Faeries' collection. The collection was made in association with Lavera Grace. As mentioned in my last post, the collection includes paper pads, stamps, and embellishments.

My card highlights the stamp called ‘Flower', which I used combined with some of the other stamps in the collection.. I used a bell jar stencil from my stash and I created whimiscal faerie scene.

This collection and other collections are available from the Craft Consortium's website and good craft retailer's websites. In the USA, it will be distributed by Scrapbooking.com (this is in the process of being set up). You can also go direct to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update on any future product launches.

This Is What I Did
I die cut a piece of patterned paper from the 'Organic' paper pad to cover the front of an A5 white card blank. Next I die cut a piece of watercolour card and added my bell jar aperture mask, With black waterproof ink I stamped the faerie into the centre of the jar, then stamped her again onto masking paper which I cut out. After covering the faerie with the mask and the bottom section, I added several colours of distress ink to create a pretty background, with the lighter area in the centre. Whilst the mask and stencil were in place I continued to stamp lots of flora in the background, and added colour using distress reinkers. I covered the top section of the jar and added shades of brown ink at the bottom to create a base.

When the background and base was dry I removed the faerie mask and coloured her using distress reinkers. Highlights and light orbs were added using white paint and a white pen. When everything was dry I carefully removed the jar aperture stencil, and lightly placed the jar stencil over the top of the coloured jar and added colour around the jar. The completed scene was mounted onto blue mirror card and then glued onto the centre of the card front.

To finish the card, I added glitter to the faeries wings, a few dew drops and 3 butterflies which were stamped, coloured and fussy cut out.

Distress Re-inkers & Ink Used - I used a huge collection of colours so email me for the list if you would like it.

Craft Consortium - Faeries - Crouch

 Hi there

Craft Consortium recently released a new collection called 'Faeries' in association with Lavera Grace. The collection includes paper pads, stamps, and embellishments. It was initially released on Hobbymaker TV, but it is now available on the Craft Consortium website.

The card I'm sharing today is showcasing the 'Crouch' stamp, which I used alongside with some of the flora and fauna stamps. Using a jar stencil from my stash I created sweet faerie scene.

This collection and other collections are available from the Craft Consortium's website and good craft retailer's websites. In the USA, it will be distributed by Scrapbooking.com (this is in the process of being set up). You can also go direct to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update on any future product launches.

After covering the faerie with the mask I added several colours of distress ink to create a wistful background. Whilst the mask and stencil were in place I continued to stamp lots of flora in the background, and added colour using distress reinkers.

When the background was dry I removed the faerie mask and coloured her using distress reinkers. Highlights and light orbs were added using white paint and a white pen. When everything was dry I carefully removed the jar aperture stencil, and lightly placed the jar stencil over the top of the coloured jar and added colour around the jar. The completed scene was mounted onto green mirror card and onto the centre of the card front.

To finish the card, I added glitter to the faeries wings, a few dew drops and 3 butterflies which were stamped, coloured and fussy cut out.

For my card today I used one of the digital stamps, this one is called 'Balloon Bunny' and I used distress re-inkers to colour with.

Using a cloud stencil I applied lilac ink over the top of the rabbit/balloons, moving the it down each time. The masks and stencil was then removed, and when everything was dry I watercoloured the images with distress re-inkers.

The scene was die cut with a square postage stamp frame and mounted onto lilac card. The completed topper was added to a slightly larger postage stamp frame cut from white card. Funky foam was added to the back of the topper, and glued to the card front. To finish the card, I added glitter to the heart balloons.

Amanda Jayne Designs - Witch On Broom & Scene Builder #1

Afternoon Everyone

This week I've teamed up with the DT at Amanda Jayne Designs to showcase a brand new Halloween set called Witch On Broom & Scene Builder. Lisa and I are each sharing a card today and tomorrow (Sunday) using the same sets to show how differently they can be used. I hope you like them. x

For my card today I have created a framed arched window that peeks out at the witch on her broom, with a brightly coloured sky. I also used some of the extras to enhance my card.

FYI - Amanda has lots of  lovely digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. Here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
I die cut an arch window aperture into the front of a 5" x 7" card front blank. Using the same die and a slightly smaller one, I die cut a thin frame from the same black card - I did this 4 times and glued them together.

A piece of watercolour card was trimmed down slightly smaller than the 5" x 7" card blank, to create a panel. I applied and blended different coloured distress inks onto the panel, going from yellow at the bottom to purple at the top (see the list below). Using black distress ink and a couple of stencils I added some clouds to create the sky, then splashed white chalk paint all over it. When the panel was dry I glued it to the front of the card behind the aperture.

The witch/broom, pumpkins and grave stones were imported into my software, then resized to suit my project. The images was printed onto watercolour card, coloured with distress re-inkers and fussy cut out.

Next I die cut a circle from white card and applied a little yellow and orange ink to create a moon, this was glued onto the sky. The witch with her broom was glued over the moon.

Using the small arch die I cut another shape from the same black card, then die cut it again with a hill border die. This was glued inside the aperture as a little hill, and the die cut word 'Boo' coloured with inks, was added alongside a few coloured pumpkins and gravestones. To complete the card, I added a little sparkle to the witch, a few white dots and stars.

Here's What I Used

Distress Re-inkers: Witch --- Skin - Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar / Hair - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Tea Dye / Dress, Hat Trim & Boots, Tights - Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn / Hat - Hickory Smoke, Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet, Black Soot / Broom - Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge / Book - Hickory Smoke, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron / Pumpkin - Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn / Grave Stones - Hickory Smoke, Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin / BOO - Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade

Distress Ink: Sky - Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Crushed Olive, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans, Picked Raspberry, Dusty Concord / Clouds - Black Soot

Amanda Jane Designs - Little Pumpkin

Morning Everyone

Today I'm sharing the 2nd of my Autumn/Halloween cards showcasing Amanda Jane Designs digi stamp/paper bundle. As my card the other day was geared up for Halloween I thought I would make a pretty card welcoming Autumn. Again I used distress inkers to colour with. I hope you like it. x

As I mentioned the other day Amanda's latest facebook challenge is' Anything Goes'  so why not give it a go - for details check out my last post.

Amanda has lots of  lovely digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. Here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
After choosing the bright orange dotty paper from the bundle I printed it out and trimmed it down to fit the card front, leaving a slim border around the edge. The paper was glued to the card front.

The girl and her pumpkin were imported into my software, and resized it to fit my project. The image was printed onto watercolour card, coloured with distress reinkers and fussy cut out.

Using my computer software I again chose the bright orange digital paper, but this time I slightly lightened it and add a typed sentiment; this was also printed off. Next I die cut a square postage stamp frame from white card and glue the pale orange paper to it, this was also stuck to the front of the card

To complete the card, foam was added to the back of the girl and she was glued to the card front along with several pearls.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamps/Paper Bundle: Little Pumpkin
Sentiment - My own

Distress Reinkers - Girl Skin - Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar / Hair Tea Dye / Shirt & Ribbons - Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn / Shorts & Shoes - Prized Ribbons, Hickory Smoke / Pumpkin - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Mowed Lawn

Amanda Jane Designs - Spooktacular Boy

 Hi Everyone

Sorry I've been absent for a few month, but  I was poorly after having a heart procedure done at my local hospital. Thankfully I'm now on the mend now and to celebrate this and get me back into crafting I'm sharing one of my latest cards, using fabulous digi stamps and papers from Amanda Jane Designs (AJD). For my card today I chose to make a Halloween card using the 'Spooktacular Boy' digi stamp which is part of a Halloween bundle. I coloured the stamp with distress inks and reinkers. I've shared my process just after the photos. I hope you like it. x

Don't forget that Amanda has a monthly challenge in her Facebook group each month. This month (August), the them is 'Anything Goes'. If you wish to partake you need to join her facebook group, then use either one or more of AJD's papers or one of her digi stamps etc to create your project. You can win lovely digi stamps as a prize (see link at the bottom of the page), so why not have a go.

Amanda has lots of  lovely digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. Here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
I imported the boy and his pumpkin into my software and resized it to fit my project. The image was printed onto watercolour cardstock and die cut into a rectangle. I drew a horizontal line across the bottom of the scene to ground the boy, and hand stamped a few grasses to finish it off. The image was again printed out onto masking paper which was cut out and placed over the one of the watercolour card.

I added several different layers of distress ink onto the card starting from the bottom and moving upwards. Clouds were added using a stencil and black distress ink, this time moving downwards. When the ink was dry I hand stamped some trees on either side to create a scene. The mask was removed and I cut out the boy's legs and the tree stump and and a strip of the masking paper to cover these areas. Black distress ink was applied to the bottom of the card, to create the ground. When everything was dry the masks were removed. The boy, pumpkin and stump were all coloured with distress reinkers and finished off with a few pencils.

The completed scene was attached to a slightly larger black die cut rectangle, then onto a black 5" x 7" top fold card blank. To finish off the card I added the letters 'B-O-O' in black card, these were cut out using my Silhouette cutting machine - the letter were cut out 3 times and stacked up.

Lili Of The Valley - Bee #2

 Happy World Bee Day

As I mentioned yesterday I will be sharing some sneak peeks of brand new polymer stamps coming soon from Lili Of The Valley. For today's card I'm helping to celebrate 'World Bee Day' by using another of the bee stamps, which launched today. x

I'll be back in a few days to share more Lili Of The Valley cuteness - the pandas. :)

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I die cut a piece of lovely orange patterned paper into a square with a postage stamp frame die, and glued it to the front of a 5" x 5" card blank.

Next I stamped the bee and sentiment onto watercolouring paper, and coloured it with distress re-inkers. With a white pen, dots were added to the hearts. When the ink was dry it scene was die cut into a heart

Funky foam was adhered to the back of the topper and glued to the centre of the card front. To finished the card I added glitter to the bee's wings along with a few pearls at the bottom.
