Welcome Baby!

Hello!  Do you ever feel totally unmotivated to create?  That was me last week.  I felt so blah every day and didn't really want to finish any of my cards or make any new ones.  I guess I go through these cycles of being unproductive.  But I did clean the house and vacuum the stairs!  So that was a real plus.  Now I'll be ignoring my house chores for a while. I made a couple of baby cards using Sister Stamps and a couple of sentiments from Stampin' Up!  I haven't used Stampin' Up! products in a while and was in the process of selling the sets I have.  This set didn't sell so I guess that was good since I was looking for a baby set. I created a mat look by taping off the edges and using distress inks to watercolor. Here is the girl version.  I also made a bunch of doctor related cards again. I made it easier on myself by printing some of the sentiments.  The images are from Altenew's Doctors Rule. I'...

Card Positioning Systems Sketch 232

Hello...I'm back with some cards.  Finally got a chance for some "me" time this past weekend.  And I actually made some random card this time without really thinking of an occasion.  I mostly wanted to use my new stamp, thanks Eva! I thought the sketch this week at CPS kind of went with a zen, minimalist, Japanese style :-) Anyhow, pretty basic, just Papertrey Ink cardstock and stamps.  The stamp is Kiyomi from Sister Stamps , so cute!  I forgot where Eva got it from, but sounds like they only sell it locally in Hawaii.  Kiyomi is colored with pencils, (still debating about going the marker route, especially now that I see Promarkers all over the place and Copics at Hobby Lobby and Aaron Brothers).  But at least pencils seem pretty forgiving, just blend away or layer another color over.  I ended up cutting the antennae off the butterfly.  Anyhow, I also wanted to use my Spellbinder Lattice rectangles, finally got that from Hobby Lobby afte...

Blush Bonnie ATCs

Hi!  It feels like it has been a little while since I last posted.  But I've been busy making stuff.  I recently signed up for Pineapple Cove's ATC swap .  It sounded fun and since I've never really made any ATCs before, I thought I'd give it a go.  The theme for this month is butterflies. I made 3 identical ones using TGF's Blush Bonnie.  The Blush girls are smaller than the usual TGF stamps so she fit nicely on this card (2.5 x 3.5).  I really love how these came out!  I used TGF's Splotchy in smokey grey ink for the background.  I also stamped dandelions from PTI's Botanical Silhouettes in the back.  Then used Stampin' Up's butterflies from the Sprinkles set.  And to think I was gonna sell my Stampin' Up sets but you really don't know when a stamp will come in handy.  The sentiment (on vellum) is also from PTI (Butterfly Dreams).  I actually cut the stamp so I could have the sentiment in one line.  Added some s...
