Vintage Floral

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card, using another favourite technique, using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I have now started my own group where everyone can share their artwork using my stamps or share artwork inspired by my style etc. If you would like to join the group, please click HERE and request to join.
I didn't use purple in my creations for a long time and now I can't stop using it, do you ever work like that, find a new love of a colour and use it over and over. This project is created using Alcohol Inks on the Gel Press, combining Olga's Sunflower Power Stencil, which gives wonderful detail in the background.
I love the touches of blue in the background which is Lake Wanaka Fresco Finish Paint, it really gives the otherwise bright colours a vintage feel.
I also added a strip of card, adding my sentiment to the right hand edge. I love that my project also has white space, drawing the eye into the design. To add just a touch more white, I incorporated some cut tags to the edges.

Timeless Accordion

Today I am showcasing a mixed media accordion, using one of another of my favourite colour schemes, using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, combined with my A5 Stamp "Wild and Free" #238 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I have now started my own group where everyone can share their artwork using my stamps or share artwork inspired by my style etc. If you would like to join the group, please click HERE and request to join.
I adore accordions, they give so much scope for adding so many details and images. This piece is so tactile, from the layers of paint to the stencilled layers, added stitching and dimension.
I also adore turquoise and red together. Even with all the layered elements this accordion still has a bright appearance with those touches of white space helpint to lift the design.
I applied Alcohol Inks to my Gel Press and took prints and this is the result and I have to say I love it.
I have also added dimension to my flowers and added delicate white splatters of paint to lift the design further.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

Timeless Florals

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card, using one of my favourite colour schemes,  using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I have used Fresco Paints for this piece, I love the chalky appearance and feel and I have mixed with some Coral for a contrast.

I brayered my background and then used a circular aperture to sponge colour through the circle, adding layers of the paint to give depth and dimension. I then added touches of Coral around the outer edges for definition and contrast.
In this close up shot you can see all the wonderful layers and textures . I also incorporated some stencilling, applying white paint to the stencil, spritzing with water and then laying the stencil down onto the painted background. The white really pops.
I also incorporated some stitching for added texture and extended the stems on the flowers, adding doodling to the base of the flowers so that they were grounded and did not appear to be floating on the card. I adore the touches of coral in the background.

Timeless Moments

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card, a different colour scheme from my card on Monday but using the same techniques,  using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
Changing a colour scheme can give a whole different look to a design. The card I made on Monday which you can find HERE, shows this technique in vintage tones.
I love mixing things up with different colour schemes or stencilled layers and this time around I have incorporated the Weathered Tiles Stencil to add a further layer of interest.
A miniature lolipop stick and doodling around the edge of my card add further interest along with some delicate stamping in the background using my number stamp from the Brush Flower Stamp Set.

Quirky Floral

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card  using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I am really enjoying using up some of my mop up backgrounds at the moment, I love the randomness and open space this gives when cleaning up dried product from my Gel Press.
I originally used Olga's Sunflower Power Stencil #77 on my Gel Press and this is the effect from cleaning my press. You ca still see some of the wonderful detail present. These mop up prints are often my most favourite.
I brayered some paint onto a scrap piece of card, to coordinate with my background and then stamped my flower head onto the painted background and cut out and added to my stamped image for added dimension.
I added a strip of card, again a random piece of card left from creating other projects. I added the text Quirky from the same stamp set.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I truly appreciate all your comments and feedback. Tracy x x

Mixed Media Floral

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card  using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love using red in my creations and I love how this card developed. This is a mop up print from my Gel Press . I had created a print with Alcohol Inks and I applied a light layer of cream Paint over the press to clean up my plate and this was the result. I love the randomness of the stencilling in the background.
I added a spotlight for the focal image, blending Broken China Distress Oxide ink around a die cut circle. I also included some doodling to highlight further.
I love adding stitching to my designs, it adds so much interest and texture. I also included some paint lines using an old credit card, to echo the black in the stamping and stitching.

Floral Card

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card  using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
Sometimes I just love adding lots of layers with paint to my background and this piece was created doing just that, simply adding layers of paint with my brayer. I added light layers of Fresco Paints, adding lots of layers to add texture and depth to my piece.
I used Turquoise and Slimed paints and added touch of lightness with Aqua Duck Egg to lift the design.
I also incorporated more white layers, applying Snowflake paint to a stencil, spritzing with water and then laying the stencil, paint side down, onto my work. I love how the white makes everything pop.
I also incorporated further white layers, adding white paint to an old paint lid and pressing the lid onto my background. I finished my card with a touch of doodling and some red flowers.

Timeless Accordion

I am showcasing an accordion card using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love creating mini accordion cards and my A6 stamp is a perfect fit.
My background for each panel has been created with Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks, applying the inks to a non-stick craft sheet and mopping up the beads of ink with my card and then drying with a heat tool.
I love using calico in my pieces, just to add that further touch of texture.
One panel I have stamped with the sentiments from the set, I love these, sometimes sentiments can act as a focal image not just an added element to a design.
A touch of doodling around the edges of my accordion adds a further element to the design.
To complete, I added some delicate splatters of white paint.
