Bird Accordion

Morning everyone, hope you are all well.

Today I am showcasing my bird stamps from my Autumn release in an accordion format.

I love the soft colour palette used this time around in the form of Speckled Egg and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Inks.

The front of my accordion follows the theme. I adore the subtle stenciling in the background along with the background stamping.

I have also added some touches of black stamping using Abs square A7 stamp, which draws the eye into the focal imagery.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your support. Tracy x x

Fungus Accordion

I have opted for an accordion card this time around, I love creating accordions, they offer so much opportunity for adding lots of layers. My design offers a clean and simple approch to a background on this occasion. I have showcased my newly released Border Stamp "Fungus" #275 along with my newly released Border Stamp "Knibs and Mushrooms" #276 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love the freshness to this accordion, simple layers that still draw the eye into the design.
For the middle panel I simply applied Acrylic Paints over the Profusion Stencil, adding just a touch of detail to the background. I then stamped the nibs on top of the stencilled layer. I also added a touch of background stamping using my A7 Stamp Set "Heartfelt" #304.
I have also incorporated some wooden banners for added interest and dimension along with some torn bookpages.
On one of my other panels I brayered a simple layer of paint and then stamped the Fungus onto the brayered layer and also incorporated some background stamping.
Each panel also had some delicate splatters of black paint, only light layers so that we do not overpower the freshness of the design.

Timeless Accordion

Today I am showcasing a mixed media accordion, using one of another of my favourite colour schemes, using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, combined with my A5 Stamp "Wild and Free" #238 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I have now started my own group where everyone can share their artwork using my stamps or share artwork inspired by my style etc. If you would like to join the group, please click HERE and request to join.
I adore accordions, they give so much scope for adding so many details and images. This piece is so tactile, from the layers of paint to the stencilled layers, added stitching and dimension.
I also adore turquoise and red together. Even with all the layered elements this accordion still has a bright appearance with those touches of white space helpint to lift the design.
I applied Alcohol Inks to my Gel Press and took prints and this is the result and I have to say I love it.
I have also added dimension to my flowers and added delicate white splatters of paint to lift the design further.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

Blossom Wishes

I am showcasing an accordion card using my newly released A5 Stamp "Blossom Wishes" #240, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love creating accordions, its a different slant on a standard card and gives so much more space to experiment.
I created the background using stencils, which I demoed on my recent Weekend Wow Show on Hochanda, which you can still view on catch up. In brief, I layered Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink over my card, adding a good layer of colour and applying several layers of the same colour to give depth. Wipe over the background with an anti-static bag and then place your chosen stencil onto the inked background and then apply VersaMark over the stencil, remove the stencil and then sprinkle Clear Embossing Powder over the card. The Embossing Powder will only stick to the areas we applied the VersaMark. Heat the powder to melt and then once cool apply a layer of Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink over the entire area. Take a damp piece of kitchen towel and wipe over the embossed area; this will remove ink from the embossed area which resists the ink.
The wood grain stencil really works so well with my floral images. I also added a further background layer spritzing my stencil with water and laying the stencil water side down onto an inked background to give a bleached out effect, and this photo showcases that perfectly.
I also incorporated some hand doodling, which helps to draw the eye into the focal imagery. Incorporating torn book pages adds further texture along with some hand stitching.

Timeless Accordion

I am showcasing an accordion card using my newly released A6 Stamp "Timeless Moments" #243, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love creating mini accordion cards and my A6 stamp is a perfect fit.
My background for each panel has been created with Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks, applying the inks to a non-stick craft sheet and mopping up the beads of ink with my card and then drying with a heat tool.
I love using calico in my pieces, just to add that further touch of texture.
One panel I have stamped with the sentiments from the set, I love these, sometimes sentiments can act as a focal image not just an added element to a design.
A touch of doodling around the edges of my accordion adds a further element to the design.
To complete, I added some delicate splatters of white paint.

Live Simply

Today I am showcasing an accordion using my newly released A7 Stamps "Magical House" and "Heart and Home" #261 and #263 combined with my newly released Border Stamp "Brush Flower" #234, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love creating mini accordions and this time around I have used Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers in the background, adding the inks to my non-stick craft sheet and then mopping up the colours with the pieces of card. Repeating the process several times to achieve good depth of colour.
I then coloured a separate piece of white card with Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry and then stamped my little houses onto the coloured card. I also added some background stamping using the number background stamp from my "Brush  Flower" Border Stamp.
Once piece of the accordion was also stamped with the sentiments within the sets along with the little adorable fairy. I also used Gel Pens to add colourful highlights.
A few touches of doodling and white highlights add further detail.
Sentiments have also been stamped onto calico for added texture.
I added black twine to act as closures for my accordion.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your feedback regarding my new release. Tracy x x

Flower Accordion

Welcome, today I have an accordion using my A6 Stamp, Doodled Blooms #140 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I think the warm weather we are having is dictating my colour choices this week. I opted for a bright palette to start the week this time, using Dina Wakley Lemon, Tangerine and Magenta Acrylic Paints brayered onto my background.
I stamped each of my flower heads onto vintage book pages and added some white background stamping using my Border Stamp, which you can find HERE.
I also added touches of black with delicate black splatters and some scratchy lines using an old credit card and the black stickers echo those marks.
I also incorporated some doodling with my white gel pen.
