Gnomes

We are already at the third Monday in February - where is the month going to?  As such, it is time for another Anything Goes Challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  For this challenge, we are sponsored by Sheepski Designs.

I have used an image from Sheepski Designs called

I also used a digital paper for the background.  I sprayed a doily with Dylusions Ink.  The flowers are from Publikado - I printed them out and then coloured them with a light pink copic marker.

Stronger

The optional twist at Path of Positivity for January is Look For The Positive.  I have done a journal page that I can look at often not to remind me not to keep giving up on things that I think are too hard.  Sadly I had years of growing up in a family that kept telling me I'm useless to the point now that I will give up when I think something is too hard.  2021 is going to be the year that I am going to try and beat this with positive thoughts.  I am realistic and know that it will be a difficult battle to fight but a positive attitude and looking at the journal as a reminder will help.

The January Challenge is sponsored by Sheepski Designs and Scribbles Designs.

I have used an image from Sheepski Designs called Determination.  I can think of the mindset change that I need to make as being like scaling a wall.  The sentiment is to remind me of how I need to think.

The digital papers used are from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.   The sentiment is digital but I'm not certain of the source (it was in my Awaiting Crafting sentiments box and had no source written on the reverse).   Colouring is with copic markers.  I added some washi tape across the papers and some Digital Embellishments from Publikado (that I printed out and fussy cut).

We Are Just Purrfect Together

After a promising start to the day and a walk in the sunshine late morning, the rain returned in the afternoon.  It was nice to get out for a short walk and I'm glad the rain held off until I got back.  This is another card I made over the past week while it was raining.  Not all of them are finished but they are almost there.

Cheerful Sketches - Sketch

http://cheerfulsketcheschallenge.blogspot.com/2020/08/challenge-augustus.html

I have used digital papers from Lozzy, Bearly Mine Designs, Publikado and a couple I'm not sure of the origin of.  The image/sentiment is from All Dressed Up.   Colouring is with copic markers and Wink of Stella.  As the sentiment was part of the image, I added a piece of washi tape in place of the sentiment panel in the sketch.  I also added a bow for the three combined circles.

Here is the sketch from Cheerful Sketches that I followed:

Success Is A Journey not a Destination

We are at the midway stage of the Character Traits Challenge at Path Of Positivity.  The challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and Scribbles Designs.

For the midway, I have worked with a different character trait of mine - and that is determination.  I have a very determined attitude toward improving my swimmers' technique.  I have used a retired image from Bugaboo Stamps called Beach Frog Swimming.  The sentiment is Success Quote from Scribbles Designs.

I also  used a digital paper from Publikado. Colouring is with copic markers.

Party Til The Cows Come Home

I am going to try and decrease my unused boxes of digital paper, images and sentiments during 2020.  This one makes a start on the pile with two images and a digital paper used (the sentiment is newly printed).

CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/chnc-challenge-extra-for-august.html

I have layered this card using green paper from a paper scrap pack and some lovely paper from Publikado.  The image is from the sponsor at Friday Sketch Challenge - Flonz.  This is an clear acrylic stamp.  I have added some colour to the image using my copic markers.  The banner die is one from Spellbinders which I cut and embossed then added two different sized pearls to.  The snowflakes are also a Spellbinders die and I added some pearls to the centres of those as well.

CASE card

If I am honest, I am not a great fan of this type of challenge but I didn't want to let it get the better of me.  I nearly didn't do this challenge until I saw one of the cards on the midway challenge:

This is my interpretation of that card:

Mine is still a Christmas card but I have gone with non-traditional colours and a different image.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Kenny K's Krafty Krew - CASE card

CHNC - Anything Christmas

I have used a paper from Publikado for the background of the card.  The yellow piece is an offcut of an MME paper.  I have used orange starry grosgrain ribbon from Francheville.  The yellow mesh ribbon I bought by the metre so not sure of the brand of that.  I have also used some bakers twine on the card.  The image is from Kenny K and coloured mainly with copic markers E00, Y08, Y06, YR07, YR04 with the addition of Stickles - Orange Peel and Yellow.

Aloha

I have to say, Heather has out-done herself this month with this absolutely beautiful image.  I just love it and know that I will be using it again.

Craft Your Passion - Summer Flowers

The two background papers that I have used come from Publikado.  I have covered the join between the two papers with yellow grosgrain ribbon and then over that I have placed a strip of orange mesh ribbon.  The image that I have used is from Heather Valentin and is called Kalani.  I have coloured Kalani with copic markers YR07, YR04, Y06, E11, E00 and added some Stickles -Yellow to the flower centres.  The "aloha" sentiment comes from Back To Paper and die-cut using a Spellbinders pennant die.  The flowers are die-cuts from Marianne's Designs which I have embellished with rhinestones.  The orange ones were the same colour as the rest and I went over them with YR07!

Glittery Mermaid

This birthday card is for a special girl who often comes and sits with me when I am at the swim pool and picks out my copic marker colours for me.  Which is why I sometimes don't have the numbers included in my posts!  This is one card I have managed to keep away from her so she hasn't seen it at all.  I wanted a bit of an aquatic theme to it.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Glitter n Sparkle - Summer
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/08/challenge-45.html
Fresh Brewed Designs - Beach/Ocean + glitter
http://freshbreweddesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/08/month-long-prize-challenge-august.html

I have used a paper from Publicado.  While it wasn't specifically a beach pattern, it has a sandy colour at the bottom and a more sea/sky colour at the top and I thought it was a perfect background for this image.  I have added some Stickles - Crystal to the background paper to give it more of a watery feel.  The image that I have used comes from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I have coloured using copic markers R59, E25, E00, YR02, YR00, B23, YR04.  I went over the tail with Stickles - Orange Peel.  I also added a pearl to the flower in her hair.  The sentiment is from Sans Designs. I edged the sentiment and image with some dots using Distress Marker - walnut stain.  I cut a flower from an offcut of orange scrapbook paper using a Marianne's die.  I added a rhinestone to the centre of the flower and some extras radiating out from the flower.

Friends at the Beach

I wish we had the weather for a day at the beach - still too wintry here at the moment!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Glitter n Sparkle - Summer
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/08/challenge-45.html

The background paper is from Publicado.  The image I have used comes from Di's Digital Downloads.  I have coloured using nice vibrant copic marker colours and then added three glittery domes.
