Surf's Up

 We are at the start of the August Challenge at Path of Positivity.  This month, the optional twist is "Inspired by the Sea".  For my project I have been inspired by sea life.

I have used a digital paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The images are from Fresh Brewed Designs (surfing starfish) and Sassy Studio Designs (underwater scene).  The sentiments are from Create with TLC (Surf's Up) and Ginger's House (The Beach).  Coloring is with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Sugar and Spice Studio.  The image is from Fresh Brewed Designs and is coloured using copic markers.  The digital sentiment is from Digi Doodles.  I matted with some textured cardstock from American Crafts, and also added some grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts and some red pearls from Rosie's Studio.

Guest Designer at Fresh Brewed Designs

This month I am Guest Designer at Fresh Brewed Designs.  The challenge this month is Animals.  I used two images from Fresh Brewed Designs for my card - Daffodil Plants and Daisy Kitten - which worked perfectly together.

I used a template from Beccy's Place for the basic shape of the card.  I did change some of the proportions to fit my image choices better.  I reversed the Daisy Kitten for one side of the stepper card so that both kittens were facing inwards.  I also used some purple cardstock for the base, some patterned paper from Kaisercraft, some flower embellishments, some letters cut using a die from Elizabeth Crafts and a garden border die-cut using a die from Tattered Lace.

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Fresh Brewed Designs and is coloured with copic markers.  I matted with some textured cardstock from American Crafts.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.  I liked the retro feel of the sentiment (probably inspired by me listening to Postmodern Jukebox while I'm crafting!).  The edges of the sentiment have been inked with Distress Inks Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar.  I also added two white pearls to the sentiment. I coloured some white ribbon roses with a copic marker and added some leaves.

I think I'd like to trade places with this little kitty!  The cooler winter temperatures seem to have hit over the past couple of days!  Snuggling up somewhere warm seems like a really good idea at the moment.

I have used a snowflake patterned paper from Craft Smith.  The image is from Fresh Brewed Designs and the sentiment from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  I added colour to both the image and sentiment using copic markers - and then matted both with some red cardstock.  I also added some faux stitching  using a Distress Marker, some Stickles to a couple of the snowflakes and some rhinestones to three other snowflakes.

I decided to use a more rectangular image which meant I had alot of white space in the square.  Adding some more twine balanced the image a bit more.
