Hello Friend

I was one of the links in the chain for the Card Chain Challenge in June.  This is the card that I sent to Lucille.

This is the prompts we were given:

In my typical fashion I used the sketch, colours and two of the other elements - Friendship and Book Paper.

I have used a book paper for the background.  The sentiment is from Diane's Daydream Designs.  I used glitter cardstock for the three overlapping circles.

A Birthday Wish for My Daughter

I have gone with a CAS approach to this card:

I have used a patterned paper from a paper pad.  The image is from Diane's Daydream Designs and I added a sentiment from Desert Diva alongside.   I also added some Silver Stickles, some pearls coloured with copic marker Y08 and a flower which I constructed using a Marianne's die, then coloured with a combination of copic marker BV08 and Dylusions Spray then added some Stickles - Star Dust.

Candy Stick

This candy is shaped into a stick rather than a cane!

I have used a paper from a Christmas paper pad by Teresa Collins.  The pad is called "Candy Cane" which I though was quite appropriate.  The diagonal striped paper is the reverse side of this particular paper!  I used red cardstock for matting.  The bow has been tied from bakers twine and I also used some heart shaped buttons in two differing sizes.  The image is from Diane's Daydream Designs and has been coloured with copic marker R46.

This is the sketch that I followed:

Making use of a coloured up image

I coloured this image a week or so ago to use for a challenge.  However, I've had not enough hours in the day for the past couple of weeks and have been a bit out of routine.  As a result, the card only got as far as a coloured image.  So, when I came across the image today, I decided I would create something with it!

I have used a paper and some die-cuts from a paper pad by Kaisercraft called Madame Boutique.  The button is from my stash.  The image is from Diane's Daydream Designs and has been coloured with copic markers and highlighted with Stickles.
