Get Well Soon

I was looking for a spring-type sentiment for this card and came across one that I immediately thought sheep which speaks spring to me (in a country where there are more sheep than people and spring is signalled by the appearance of lambs).  Then I also thought it is also cloud-like which goes with a flying kite so figured it was meant to be.

Science Teacher Thank You

I found this cool Thank U that has a chemistry feel to it!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Meljens Designs - You've Been Framed
http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.co.nz/2013/08/challenge-173-youve-been-framed.html
Robyn's Fetish - Put a Frame Around It
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/challenge-173-put-frame-around-it.html
QKR Stampede - Don't Bug Me
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/08/qkr-stampede-weekly-challenge-52-dont.html

I have used a background paper from MME.  The image is from Meljens Designs Studio - just the right thing for those end of year Thank You cards for teachers.  I found I had a sentiment from Daizeefli that comprised of chemistry elements to spell the words "Thank U" - very clever I thought.  I used a pennant die from Spellbinders to cut the sentiment and oval and scallop oval dies also from Spellbinders to cut the image and frame.  It was a bit tricky to add the frame on top of the image but patience was rewarded!  Colouring is with copic markers with the addition of some Glossy Accents to the apple to make it shine.

Speedy Recovery

I'm helping out Lisa (Décosse's Dynamite Doodles) who is helping out Naomi (Creative Bug on the Loose).   This is my card with this week's freebie from Creative Bug on the Loose:

I am also entering the card in the following challenges:

I have used a couple of papers from a paper pad by MME for this card.  Lots of layers in the card with the addition of some chocolate brown cardstock from Rosies Studio.  The image as I said above is a freebie from Creative Bug on the Loose.  The sentiment is from Daizeefli.  The button embellishment is another that I raided from my Mum's button box (with her permission of course!).  She has had a large biscuit box full of buttons for as long as I can remember and never used many of them.  When she found out I could use them on cards, she let me sort through them and take any that I thought I could use!  I think some of them have been removed from garments so there is a bit of recycling there too.

April Showers

Decided to try a patchwork layout this time!

This card is for the following challenges:
CDAC - Progressive Challenge
http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/cdac-progressive-freebie-challenges#?=
Outlawz Challenge - Copic markers - April Showers
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/copicchallenge/forum/topics/copic-promarker-challenge-april-5-11
QKR Stampede - April Showers
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-33-april-showers.html

The card uses background papers from a set called I'm yours by Harper Finch.  I have based the design around the octagon die-cut.  The image that I have used is a challenge one from CDAC and comes from Nana Vic Digitals.  The sentiment that I have used comes from Daizeefli and was just perfect for the temperature of April showers in NZ!  The "stitching" on the patchwork is Peelcraft border stickers.  The image is coloured in primary and secondary colours using copic markers and the final secondary colour appears in the rhinestones on the umbrella!

Get Well Soon

The challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week can be found here:
http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.co.nz/2012/09/sweet-sketch-wednesday-171-103-and.html

And this is the sketch they gave us to work with:

And from this sketch, I created a Get Well Soon card.

The papers used are all from my stash.  They are possibly all from the same set as they seem to work well together colourwise!  The image is called "Sorry you caught a bug" and is from Spyder's Corner.  The sentiment is from Daizeefli.

Now I have a Get Well Soon card in my card stash but hope I don't have to use it!  However, with the change in seasons I wouldn't be surprised if it is needed soon.
