Daisy Mouse

I am cutting this month's challenge at Beccy's Place a little fine.  I completed the card about a week ago but have just been struggling finding time to get on the computer and upload it.

and with the locking piece removed:

A Birthday Wish

We have a bit of a four seasons day today.  It decided to rain after I hung my washing out (and before it had a chance to dry).  At the moment the sun is out so hopefully leaving the washing outside was a good move and it actually dries.

I have used all of the colours in the Butterfly Challenge (a couple of them not as much as others), Birthday Wish and Belt and Buckle Card.   I think the only thing that I didn't use was the border.

and this is the card opened:

2023 In Review

Before the end of each year, I try to review the projects that I have completed over the past 12 months and create a post highlighting my favourite for each month.  This year some months haven't had much to choose from given the issues with my eyesight for much of 2023.    I have worked on this progressively over a few days as I really wanted to put this post out.

I have shared the love around a bit with a challenge appearing in one month only.  Naturally, since November is mainly creating for Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards, I had to choose a Beccy's Place card for that month.

I have linked each card to the original post (when I could find them)

January - card created for QKR Challenge (now closed)

February - DT card created for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

March - card created for Butterfly Challenge

April - card created for Sheepski Challenge

May - DT card created for Jan's Digis Challenge (now closed)

June - card created for Card Chain Challenge

July  - card created for NZ Swap Group

August - DT card created for Scribbles Designs (on break)

September - card created for one of the Gecko Galz Challenges

October - DT card created for 12 Months of Christmas

November - card created for Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards

December -  card created for Ching-Chou Kuik (closing)

This will be my last post for 2023 as it is approaching midnight.
Happy New Year to all my followers.

Have yourself a Sweet Christmas

Day 19 of the Month of Holiday Cards at Beccy's Place and we are again on an alphabet prompt - Letter Q.  I have used a quilted puddings image cut apart so that I have four of the nine "quilt" panels.

The first photo is with all four easels standing upright and showing two of the images and sentiments.

This is the other two images and sentiments:

This photo shows all four easels lying flat

and the final photo is of the greeting panel on the inside of the card:

Hi

The New Zealand Swap Group that I belong to had a theme of more than two folds for our October swap.  I possibly cheated a bit on my third fold.  I have a fold on the left of the larger card, right on the smaller card and also the butterfly wings fold on the top layer.

This is a few of the card partially opened which displays the two layers of the butterfly better:

and finally, the inside of the Joy Fold Card:

My daughter recently bought me some paper pads and cardstock most of which are anko brand.  Fortunately she had bought me two of this marble pack as I needed three pages of the same colour.  The butterfly is a dimensional sticker and the stopper to hold the card closed is an embellishment with mount tape on the back.

I followed the tutorial for the Butterfly Challenge but amended the closure

Fly

The forecast rain hasn't arrived so far, so I am enjoying some more sunshine while it lasts. I really enjoyed this fold and I had a butterfly die that worked perfectly with this design.

I have used all the prompts on the wheel.

I followed a tutorial for a Pillar Card from the Butterfly Challenge.

Coloring is with Distress Ink - Ripe Persimmon and ProMarker Plum.  The other two colors are in the base and paper.  The pearls are on the body of the butterfly.  I also added some gems.

Best Wishes

I have only included six of the seven options for this challenge - I couldn't figure out how to include the hemp option.

I have used a digital paper from PixelScrapper.  The sentiment is from Crafting with Jack.  I added some butterfly stickers to the inside panels for interest.  The die used on the front is from Cottage Cutz - I think it may have been from a previous Butterfly Challenge.  It was a bit too long for the front of the card so I chopped off one of the butterflies and added it in a different place.

Butterfly Tent Fold Card

Once again I managed to use all the prompts for The Butterfly Challenge.   I found a paper that had two of the colors and close to one of the others.  I added some of the fourth color with the twine and pearls.

I have used a digital paper from PixelScrapper.  The butterfly is a large-ish felt butterfly.  I bought a pack of these a few years ago and haven't used that many of them.  The color was perfect for this card.  I blinged up the butterfly with a strip of pearls plus added two larger ones to the top of the card.

Just For You

Somehow I have managed to get about a week or so behind - after February only being 2-3 days shorter than other months.  I haven't managed to create much outside of Design Team cards but I put aside some time today to do that.  I had been putting this one off as it looked difficult - turned out it wasn't that difficult at all.

I have used a check paper from a paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  The images on the inside are both from Create with TLC.  Coloring is with copic markers and inking of the embossing is with Distress Ink.  I also added some butterfly puffy stickers.

I used all the elements on the Butterfly wheel.

Butterfly Double Slider Card

I wasn't sure that I would attempt the card fold for the current Butterfly Challenge but due to the high winds last night and not being able to sleep I managed to complete.  I am not happy with one part but would thinks out a bit more before I start if I make this again (suffice to say I can understand why Mrs A didn't add patterned paper to the front).

I was just writing this up and thought I had missed one element.  In going back to the challenge post, I saw it was "Die Cut" which I had already covered.

I have used a digital paper from Bearly Mine Designs.  The butterflies on the slider sections are stickers.  I also added a felt butterfly on the front of the card.  The die-cut sentiment is by Creative Expressions and is one that I won in an earlier challenge.

I followed a tutorial for a Double Slider Card from Butterfly Challenge.

You Give Me Butterflies

I have some time to sit and write posts for a few of the cards that I completed over the past couple of days.  I'm starting with this one as it closes in a couple of days I think.

I managed to use all of the prompts in the Butterfly Wheel.

This is the view looking from the front when it is (almost) folded up.  The intention was for it to be folded up but when I took the photo the front panel wouldn't stay closed.

This is a view from the front showing the unfolded view from the front.  You can also see a peek of the paper on the reverse.

The front view with the card opened up

The back view of the card showing the greeting panel as well as the contrasting papers.

https://butterflyspotchallenge.blogspot.com/2023/01/176-spin-butterfly-wheel-with-f-for.html

I have used two butterfly patterned digital papers - the french rose coloued one is from Lozzy and the fuchsia colored one is from Bearly Mine Designs. The butterflies are mostly stickers but the larger one on the larger panel is a die-cut using a die I won some time ago in a Butterfly Challenge.  The flowers on the internal panels are flower shaped gemstones (plus there are also tiny flowers in the paper on the reverse of the card).  The sentiment on the message panel is from Shelly's Images.

Year In Review

Today is the last day of 2022 so it is time to share my Year In Review.  I didn't manage to do a Year In Review post last year but I'm on top of it this year.  I have put links to the original posts which provide more details of products used as well as links to any tutorials that I followed.

I had fun going through the projects that I have created this year and finding a favorite for each month.  I did try to limit it to one per challenge so I had some variety.

February - Design Team Post for 12 Months of Christmas which can be found here

March - Design Team post for Incy Wincy which can be found here
