Grow to Learn Journaling Bible Illustrated Faith Colossians 1:10

Hi Crafters,

One of the things that I have always struggled with is my handwriting. I think some of it is the left-handedness but I just don't love it.  I've admired many of the journaling bible/illustrated faith members who can create different fonts and works of art that are stunning. I've looked at purchasing a few books that show how to illustrate your handwriting I just haven't taken the plunge.

This is where the cricut explore comes into play! I used a 03 American Crafts black pen on vellum to create this entry. You can include all the fonts you want including tweeking the size and letter spacing. Each line is a different text box which allowed me to really customize the look.

I used some stamps and watercolors for the background image. The vellum helped to disguise some of the imperfections.

I used my xyron 250 sticker maker to adhere the vellum to the Bible. I finished it off with a washi tab and a quick underline of the verse.

Thanks for stopping by,

Illustrated Faith Journaling Bible {Washi strips} Matthew 7:7

Hi Crafters,

I have been taking full advantage of having a few snow days. I've spent a lot of time up on the loft this week and it's been so fulfilling!

I was inspired by this passage from Matthew 7:7. About asking, seeking, and knocking.

My college roommate's birthday is coming up this weekend and she has asked for a journaling Bible as well. I created these 1.75 inch washi strips sized and ready to go in her Bible where she pleases. I used printable transparency paper sized just over 3.5 inches. I trimmed the edges then cut it in half.
I made her birthday card with this beautiful butterfly cut from Miss Kate's Cuttables. They blow me away with their easy layering!

Illustrated Faith Journaling Bible- {Fear Not} Isaiah 40:10

Hi crafters,

Today I used my cricut explore in my journaling Bible. I made the tab you see on the side with this file on Cricut Design Space.

I used the score stylus to score the tag and I used the cricut markers to write on the scalloped shape. I sized down a strip of coredinations paper and tore the edges to show the inside color.

Fear not!--What a great reminder!

{Journaling Bible} My newest craft endeavor

Hi Crafters,

I recently stumbled on the #inspiredart and #journalingbible hashtags on instagram and pinterest. Needless to say it intrigued me and I spent hours looking at all the artwork people had created.

I purchased my own ESV single column journaling Bible from amazon. I was a bit afraid where to start because it seems so permanent but I knew I just had to start somewhere. I am also not my #1 fan of my own handwriting, again something I had to just get over.
My great aunt passed away just after her 100th birthday a few weeks ago. This was one of the scriptures they shared at her service it really spoke to me especially being a mountain dweller myself.

This style of quiet time is perfect for me. It blends in my hobbies with my faith making it something that I will treasure years to come when I look back. I was even able to incorporate some cricut cuts in the one above.

If this is something you are intersested in be sure to check out Shanna Noel's blog it's filled with some great information about getting started on this artfully inspired journey!
