Mist Heart Cards

I was in the mood to use my color sprays so I decided to make some cards to send to OWH. These are the only two colors I have that don't contain glitter. I used a paper mask I had left over from cutting something out with my Spellbinders on the top card. I used the purple only on the background and the green only on the heart. The bow came out perfect. I added a Jaded Blossom sentiment and a Heidi Swapp heart.
This one I sprayed both colors randomly and added only purple to the Heidi Swapp heart. I add some matching twine and a Pink By Design sentiment.

Both of these cards are on their way to Operation Write Home.

Blue Heart ~You+Me

I was experimenting with my alcohol inks and was not incredibly pleased with the results so I got out my circle punch and cut up the page I made. The circles looked a lot better than the layout did. I used some blue ink to distress the edges. It was a little to CAS so I added a strip of embossed paper and the blue Heidi Swapp heart. I also used alcohol ink on the heart. I added a Pink by Design sentiment that I love to use on cards I am sending into Operation Write Home.

Missing You ~Heart Pink

I used paint and a foam brush for the background pink & purple. I then added some speckles by using a small paint brush and flicking the paint on top of the brushed on paint.
The hearts are Heidi Swapp that I painted with purple paint.
The missing you sentiment is a Jaded Blossom Simple Sayings stamp.

Orange Birthday Card

I was asked to make some more adult birthday cards. I am happy with this one. I used a Heidi Swapp butterfly and sprayed it with her yellow spray.
I sprayed the flower with Glimmer Mist to make is sparkle. I added a pearl brad in the center that I love. When I stamped the sentiment it made an ink mark from the edge of the stamp. I was bummed and sat there for a minute trying to figure out how to save my card. I decided to add some pearls to cover it up. I gotta say I like how the pearls added to the card.
The sentiment inside the card is a new stamp I got from Sweet Stamps.

SSS229 School Time Card

I was a little stumped at first when I looked at this sketch from The Sweet Stop. After a little thought I came up with this bright and cheery card.
I used some scraps of school paper I believe is DCWV. The cute little poem is a Jaded Blossom stamp. I added some faux stitches on the red card stick. I added a couple apple brads. The star is Heidi Swapp that I sprayed with yellow spray also Heidi Swapp. I used a border punch that looks like a notebook edge.

I used a Meljen's Designs digi stamp that I colored with Copics. I added Glossy Accents to the worm that makes him shiny.

TT ~ Splatter and Chatter

Twisted Tuesday Challenge~Paint it, Spritz it, Mist it, whatever you would like but show us some splatter on your creation!
THE TWIST: Use at least 2 words on your creation.
I used a stamp for the background and the flowers. After I covered the whole white background with the words stamp I masked off some of the paper with painters tape then sprayed it with color mist. I repeated the process with the different colors several times. I sprayed the flower.
I used my Spellbinders to cut these labels. I sprayed the the background one lightly with purple. I stamped a Stampin Up birthday sentiment on the green paper.

White on White Blog Hop

This month Lorby's World of Hops has challenged this talented crafters by asking them to create something that is white on white with a touch of color. I know you will be as pleasantly surprised to see what they have come up with. There is so much talent here that I know they have risen to the occasion and have some wonderful projects to share.

So please begin at Lorby's World http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com since she is our hostess and has a give away going on with this hop. She has all the details on her blog.

Now let's begin this hop. Here are my projects to share.

I made these two cards with embossed white backgrounds. I stamped the small white part with Stampin Up stamps.
The Spanish sentiment is from Dilo En Espanol. I cut is out with a Spellbinders and inked edges. The butterfly is Heidi Swapp sprayed with Heidi Swapp spray.

Retirement Card

Here is a large retirement card I made for my husband co worker. She was very happy with it, which is always nice to hear.
The butterfly was a hit. Apparently butterflies are the simple of rebirth and blue butterflies are extra special because they are very rare. At least this is what the recipient of this card said. Funny cause I questioned putting it on here. I wasn't sure if it went with the bird image. The butterfly is a Heidi Swapp sprayed with a little blue inkado I think is the brand. I used Distress Ink around the outside of the butterfly. The sentiment is a dollar stamp from Michael's that I bought a long time ago.
This image is Sweet n Sassy. I colored it with Copics and added Stickles to the flowers. I used my Lacy Circles Spellbinders behind it.
I kept the inside simple so everyone could sign it.
My hubby asked me to make a big card for lots of people to sign. The blank white on is A2. This card was a full sheet of card stock.

Spanish Mother's Day Cards

These two images are The Stamping Boutique digital stamps. I colored them both with Copics.
The sentiments were all printed from Word. I inked the edges of the flag I cut around them.
The butterflies are from Heidi Swapp and sprayed with her spray. They have been a huge hit.

Blk & white with a Splash of color

Here are a few more Mother's Day cards I made using black and white as my base. I added a single color on each card.
A coworker asked me to make her a hot pink card like my previous blue ones. Here it is. I would have never put these colors together but it came out nice.

Of course this is my favorite color! I bought a new stack of blk/white paper and found this butterfly piece and since I am currently obsessed with butterflies it is perfect.
I like this saying for the inside sentiment :)
And lastly I made a purple one. I combined the papers on this one.
All the butterflies are Heidi Swapp and sprayed with Heidi Spray shimmer spray. All the flowers were white and sprayed to match the butterflies. I printed the sentiments out using Word.

Here is another card for Mother's Day. The butterfly is Heidi Swap again sprayed with her spray as well. I printed the sentiments using word. The black I used a border punch then used an Easy Stitch by Paper Pizazz and a white gel pen for the white on the border.
Here is the inside of the card. I really need to post all these cards I have made since Mother's Day is just around the corner.

Yellow Butterflies Mothers Day Cards

Like I said earlier I am obsessed with these Heidi Swapp butterflies. I used Heidi Swapp spray on them and the flower. I like the shimmer it gives the flower. These two cards are very similar.
I made the insides the same on both cards. Such a cute sentiment I found online and printed out.
If you follow my FB page then you know I made about 30 Mothers Day cards so more to come!

Aqua & Black Mother's Day Cards

Can you see any difference between these two cards? :) Unbelievable! I actually made two of the same card! I liked this one so much and so did my co workers I made a second.
Then of course I needed an English card.
I used Heidi Swapp butterflies and spray for the flowers and on the butterflies. I am obsessed with these butterflies! I printed the English sentiment on my computer. The Spanish is a stamp set from Dilo En Espanol mothers day set. The paper is DCWV. The rest is pretty simple.
Let the flood of Mother's Day cards begin!

Mojo Monday 290 ~ Mothers Day

This sketch inspired me to make this beautiful card. I used Fiskar stamps for the flowers. I inked the edges of all the rectangles to make them pop a bit more. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp.
The butterfly is a Heidi Swapp embellishment sprayed with Chartreuse (green) Color Shine. I am loving Heidi Swapp right now. The paper is DCWV.
I really enjoy sketches. They help me get inspired. Now time to go link up to Mojo Monday.
