Bind-it-all project 3

I'm back with my third project from the Bind-it-all class I'm taking over at My Creative Classroom. This is my fav so far as I was able to make another of my satin flowers that I've learned about. These flowers are so easy and fun to make. I added a half pearl in the center as I currently don't have any bling big enough to fight yet (something I would love to fix). The stamps on the cover came from Tim Holtz's collection Tattered Elements. The cover is 6x6 canvas cover from Zutter that I embossed the frame in clear so that it could stay the canvas color and then layerd Denim Blue and Patina Glimmer Mist as well as a homemade mist I made with water, turquoise reinker, and Perfect Pearl's Perfect Pearl. I love the color and subtle depth that it created. After it dried some I wiped over the embossed stamp image to make it pop and then when it was completely dried I dry brushed some black paint around the edges.

I left the inside pages rather simple as I like simple pages, and I plan on filling the pages with scripture and quotes that will take up most of the page and I want them to be the focal points. I might go back and add a little bling once the pages are full so that it can all blend together. I will say that I did embellish the gatefold pages with some ribbon. I thought I would try that ribbon ruffle I've been seeing on blogs...yeah, I think I still need help with that technique. The paper is from My Mind's Eye's Meadowlark collection.
