Tag, You're It!

I finally have been able to get this idea for a Christmas tag down. It's not exactly like I had planned, but I really like the end result none-the-less. I'm entering this for the Waltzingmouse Christmas tag challenge. I used the Seasons of Love - Tags stamp for the star and sentiment. I've been wanting to play since Claire first posted this Challenge but have only know had the courage to play along. I was limited on supplies and really wanted to do her stamp set justice. I keep thinking I could have added a little more but then as I start thinking about the night sky I remeber that God made it simple and sparkly bright and if that is good enough for Him then it should be good enough for me. I stamped the star twice: once with versamark on clear accetate and embossed with Iridescent Ice and then again on vellum embossing it in white. I kept the center it them so that the person's name that this will go to could be written. Then I stamped the sentiment on vellum with versmark and embossed it in white as well. I loke how the background cand subtly be seen behind it. The frame for the sentiment is an old piece I have from SU!. The flourish image on the top and bottom is from Tim Holtz's Fabulous Flourishes while the script is from PTIs Text Style (since I don't have WMS's text background yet). The flourishes are embossed in Iridescent Ice like the star while the words were stamped in Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I sponged Faded Jeans and Broken China for the background base color. The top and bottom of the card are swiped with some pearl paint (a technique I picked up from the great Tim Holtz). I used some sivler cord to hang the star as well as for the bows that I combined with some white sheer ribbon. I had lots of fun making this tag and it'll be hard to give it away....so maybe I'll just keep it for myself, lol.

Challenges used:
Pixie Cottage: sketch and/or metal (I choose the metal)
Papertake Weekly: sparkly and bright
Cute Card Thursday: transparent (my star and the sentiment)
