MyGrafico Challenge Day

Today's MyGrafico Challenge is my last one as a DT member. The experiance has been so much fun. Today's challenge has a little twist: create a NON-Christmas project using Red and Green. I decided on a tag since I've been needing some lately. I love how these tags can be used on gifts and then used in a scrapbook page. The image was colored in using my computer.

Be sure you leave a link to your creation so that you can be in for the prize of the wonderful set that this cut little sailboat and bear image came from.

Extra Day of Unity and MyGrafico Challenge

I've been having some printer issues and wasn't able to create a sample for the MyGrafico Challenge blog this week. I was just now able to complete the challenge. The challenge was to make a recipe card but since I don't cook I don't really make those typed of cards, so what I did instead was make a 'Recipe for a Happy New Year' card that can be displayed as it's 8x8. I like the touch of flourish that is on this as it gave it just a little something extra (and is part of the Belli Blog challenge) and worked so well with the hearts. The hearts, tag outline, and circle label is from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff over at MyGrafico.

I also created an extra project for my week Growing in Unity. I used two stamps with this project: Create Yourself and Feel the Joy. I really like how this one turned out and can so see me using this for little gifts.

MyGrafico Challenge Day

Who's up for making some PIE? That's our challenge for you today over at MyGrafico Challenge blog. You are to make a project using a PIE recipe. Example:P: paper, paper piecing, pastels, pink..I: ivory, ink, Icicle Stickles...E: eyelets, embossing, EK Success punch

The winner of this great challenge will get this digi stamp set:

Here's my card for you. I just loved this image as one of my favorite sayings is about reaching for the stars. I kept this simple and my PIE was: P - purple, I - Icicle Stickles, E - EK corner rounder punch

Be sure you post her project on the MyGrafico Challenge blog.

MyGrafico Challenge Day

Today's MyGrafico Challenge is a color one: pink, green, and orange. Let's see what you can do with these colors.

Here's is my card for this challenge. It was really out of my comfort zone, but I did have fun with it. I got to play with my CB embossing folders and this cute little girl digi image from this cute set:

Finally, the MyGrafico project

First, thank ya'll for all the prayers and well wishes for my son. We came home yesterday around super time and after getting everyone to bed I crashed myself. The little one has a really bad sinus infection that just got out of control. It is now getting better and he's starting to act like himself and even eating and keeping it down now.

Now here's the challenge project for this week's MyGrafico Monday challenge. I wanted to do something a little different and settled on an altered picture frame. The tree is from the Funky Monkey digi stamp set. The sun is from another package that I already had and I sewed on it to make it stand out even more. The heart is a chipboard piece that I painted red and then covered in red fun flock.

MyGrafico Challenge Day

I don't have a project for ya'll today. It's done and ready but I was unable to write up the post and the pictures aren't on the laptop. My youngest DS (7 months old) is currently in the hospital and has been since Saturday. My last post stated how I thought he was doing better...well, I was wrong. Long story short, he hadn't been able to keep anything thing down since last Sunday and his feet were purple. We went to the doctor (for the third time) and he sent us to the ER which in turn after treating Z admitted him into the hospital for observations. Tests have ruled out flu and RVS and the chest x-rays came back as clear. He's VERY congested and what they now think is that he just has more mucus in his little body than it should and so when he coughs to try to remove it he ends up spewing everything he ate.

That being said, I did want to let ya'll know about the challenge this week over at the MyGrafico Challenge Blog: use sewing (real or faux) on your project. I can't wait to see what you make.

MyGrafico is also currently holding a DT call. Be sure you check out the deets and get your submission in.

MyGrafico Challenge Day

Time for another MyGrafico Challenge. This week the challenge is to create a thank you card using some dry embossing on your project. The set we got to play from is called Mix and Match Stems. For my card I used my Cuttlebug for the dry embossing and changed the image from black to a shade of green (very close to SU!'s Garden Green). I am really liking these clean and simple cards and thought that this image went well with that. After I printed it, I painted some Pixie Dust Shimmerz paint to give it some bling/frost to help give it a more winter feel. I totally spaced that this was suppose to be a Thank you card, so my sentiment reads 'peace'. It just as easily could be changed to Thanks or even thank you though. I love how this could be an any occasion card (including Christmas). The ribbon is some shimmery white threaded through a holder from SU's Hodgepodge collection (silver).

Be sure you go over to the MyGrafico Challenge blog and link up your creation for a chance to win. And don't forget about the big sale that's going to start on the 29th over at MyGrafico.

MyGrafico Challenge Day

toaster close up

This week's MyGrafico Challenge is to make a retro inspired card/LO/project that incorporates polka dots and the colors red, white, and turquoise. I found the quote on-line and just typed it up and printed it onto cardstock. I found it funny for some reason. The image is from MyGrafico's Vintage Appliance digi stamps.

MyGrafico Challenge Day

It's time for another MyGrafico Challenge. This time we are challenge you to create a tag AND use buttons. The last three months of the year always seem to have occassions where you need just a little something extra for a gift, like a handmade tag. This is the month for the fun "You've Been Boo'd" game and since we do it at my work I thought I would go ahead and make my little bag of goodies.

For my little gift set I used the Bubblebee Tag Stamp Pack from MyGrafico to create the little tags, the display sign you to show others that You've Been Boo'd, and even for the border around the poem that is rolled up and tucked inside the little bag. I was going for the look of little pumpkins on my two tags with the buttons and little brown stem and hope that's what came across. For the tags/border I changed the orginal tag color from black to orange and erased the cut little bumblebee. For the bag I used SU's Carved and Candlelight and their scrached (or whatever the name is) background.

MyGrafico Challenge Day

Think Pink! October is not only Halloween but also Breat Cancer Awareness month. In support of spreading the awareness our challenge this week is to create a project using pink and a pink ribbon. For my card I used all digi again. The paper and ribbon is from my digi stash and the cute pink butterfly is from the Breast Cancer Awareness digi set. They have this same set already colored (that's the one I used) so you can use them as you would the stickers or even on digi pages. I added the saying in PSE, but tried to match the font color as close as I could to the butterfly (not that hard sinced I just picked it up from the butterfly). I added glitter to the dots on the wings as well as the body of the butterfly and sponged light pink to the edges to give it a slight punch. I wanted something simple, but now I have other ideas so I might go back and do it again. Be sure to show off your creation over at the MyGrafico Challenge Blog.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DTs to see what great creation they have.

MyGrafico teams up with TMS

For the MyGrafico challenge this week we are teaming up with Tuesday Morning Sketches. Join in on the fun for a chance to win a prize from TMS and if you check out the MyGrafico Challenge blog you'll find a way to win another prize. This card was completely done on the computer in PSE (except the brads). It was fun coloring in the card on the computer and putting the card together (not to mention it was quick). Once I printed it out, I cover the rims on the wheels, headlights, and the windshield with CE and added the brads to give it more depth.

MyGrafico Challenge Day

It's Monday and that means it's time for a MyGrafico challenge. This week's challenge is to create a retirement card. The DT used the set called Funky Summer Flamingos.

I love it b/c there's a joke in our family that deals with these pink birds and plan on making some fun cards for them. My card is simple, but I like the colors as they are very summery to me. I just had to give it a little bling as this is for a femals. I love how the sentiment could be used for either a retirement or just because kind of thing. Sorry about the bad photo but I just couldn't seem to get a good one (even in PSE).

Be sure you check out the rest of the design team to see there great projects.
