**Please scroll down a couple of posts to find my Waltzingmouse Blog Hop**I'm back with another card, and this time I'll let ya'll know more about the
SCS Hope You Can Cling To challenges that I'm trying to play along with this month. Splitcoaststampers is proud to partner with the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center for a month long card drive to benefit those affected by breast cancer. They are encouraging papercrafters across the globe to put their talents to work creating beautiful handmade cards to send to patients and their families at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, and, in the process, turn their gallery pink! The cards can be sent blank for the patients and their families to use or can be sent with a little message for them. You can send them as you make them or save them up till the end and send them at the beginning of November (this is what I'll be doing). SCS would like to have the cards posted to their gallery (if you want to) no later than November 4th. Please package all challenge entries with an envelope, protected with a clear cellophane bag or clear envelope per entry and mail them to our partner at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center to benefit patients being treated for breast cancer and their family.

When I heard about this I knew I wanted to play along and help. My MIL had leukemia, my uncle is recovering from a form of leukemia, my aunt just got diagnosed with lung cancer (and she is not a smoker), my DH's uncle just passed away from cancer of the intestine, and a friend was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I am doing this in their honor and memory.
I took a different take on the traditional autumn/fall colors (granted these are still the colors I see where I live right now). The idea for this came from a challenge I saw but now can't find, lol. I used my new glimmer mist from YMH to create the background as well as the new frame (which is from Tattered Angels). The scripture is from Verve and has been a reminder that even in our darkest hour our Father in Heaven will be with us and with him there we can be happy. The butterfly is a die from Cuttlebug that I've had for over a year and have used maybe one other time, and the vellum one was then embossed in a matching folder from CB. I used some liqued pearl to create the body of the butterfly and the ribbon as a divider between the two colors on the cardstock.

SCS HYCCT: Somekinda Hope - use something old (butterfly die) and something new (mist and frame)
