Fall Fun
The new Sassy Studio Design release is tomorrow and I wanted to sneak one more preview before then for ya'll. This one is so much fun as this is something I liked to do as a kid: jumping in leaves. Fall Fun will be released on October 1st and you don't want to miss the blog hop that the Sassy Seven will be hosting that day for a chance to win a FREE image. The sketch came from CPS.

MyGrafico teams up with TMS
For the MyGrafico challenge this week we are teaming up with Tuesday Morning Sketches. Join in on the fun for a chance to win a prize from TMS and if you check out the MyGrafico Challenge blog you'll find a way to win another prize. This card was completely done on the computer in PSE (except the brads). It was fun coloring in the card on the computer and putting the card together (not to mention it was quick). Once I printed it out, I cover the rims on the wheels, headlights, and the windshield with CE and added the brads to give it more depth.

Always
We're going to a wedding in a couple of weeks and I thought the True Love's Kiss from Sassy Studio Designs would be the perfect image for this. I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges and I clear embossed the Paisley background stamp from SU! and silver embossed the edge on the image to give the card a little something extra. The sentiment was embossed in white and I used half pearls to give a little class.

Little Gardener
Today I chose to post the card I made using a very sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I just love how she brings the same feel and look to her digital art as she does to the books she illustrates. I used the sketch from Card Patterns and created a 4.25 by 4.25 square card. I love this size of a square card as it still fits in a standard envelope. I distressed the image and the blue paper to add to the earthy feel. He was so much fun to color. For the watering can I tried to go for a hammered metal look using the colorless blender pen. In person it looks pretty good.

An Animal kind of day
I've had these two images colored for about a week now and have just gotten a chance to turn them into cards. I'm just going to get right to the cards and the challenges they go to.
This first card has an image from Dustin Pike. I just love his whimsy that goes into his images and my son love them too. I used a sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches. The base of the was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder to give it more depth and add to the pond feel. The paper is from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey collection.

The second card using one of my favorite summer stamps from Our Craft Lounge - Hangin' Loose with Kona. The paper also came from BG's Lime Rickey. I added some bling to his sunglasses with my black Spica pen (although it doesn't show in the picture) and rhinestone brads from SU! The sketch from CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS. This one was also in mind for the Creative Inspiration Challenge - animals.

Let's Give Thanks
So who's ready for another Sassy Studio Design release? This release will have a little fall and a little winter. Today's preview is a little fall. Lindsay has come up with a great Sassy gal Giving Thanks for all she has been blessed with. I love how her hands are clasped in prayer and the little detail of a wedding band. I don't think I've ever seen a stamp with a wedding band unless it was tied to a wedding. I could be wrong. I had such fun coloring her. Many challenges were used for these cards too.
The first card used some rustic PTI buttons and colored with copics but I forgot to take pictures of the color (sorry). The challenge I used are:
The buttons challenge with the Sweet Dreamer's blog group.
Sketch Saturday's sketch challenge
Digital Tuesday Challege - falling leaves (I'm stretching these one with the leaves on the paper as I can't find any of my leaves stamps)
Creative Belli Blog Challenge - Fall or Halloween

For this second card I added crushed red velvet to the top of her shirt to give her a little something extra. I also used PTI's Background Basics: Text Style on the red paper and colored the black gingham ribbon with copic E31. The challenges I used were:
Sweet Stop Sketches (with a twist)
Creative Inspirations - fall/autumn
My Time To Craft Challenges - Autumn fest

Simply Halloween
I've had this image colored for a while now and decided it was a good time to use it on a card. I used the Clean and Simples Stamping sketch for this one. The image is from Sassy Studio Designs. Not one of my favs, but it's cute.
Right now I'm trying to put the craft room back in some sort of an order. We were gone most of the day yesterday so I'm doing it today. I took some pictures of what it's current status is. And I wonder why I can't find anything, LOL.

Mojo Glass Slipper
I used two challenges for this card: Mojo Monday's sketch and Copic Buzz's color challenge. This turned out to be such a classy card. I used SU's print pattern on the red base and used shimmerz baby's breathe spray of the pattern papper to give it some pizzaz. The image is from Sassy Studio Design's Fairy Tale extras.

Trick or Treat it's a Sassy release
*** If you would like to see my sample for the MyGrafico Challenge please look at the post below ***
Lindsay has created some wonderful Sassy Girls for Halloween so be sure to Trick or Treat your way through the blog hop. Leave comments along the way for a chance to win a treat or two. At the end of the hop you should end up at the SSD Blog where a BIG treat will be waiting for you. I have a little Trick here for you on my blog today and the Trick is you will be leaving a comment on my blog before Tuesday, Sept. 15 @ 12 midnight PST. By doing this you will be entered into a drawing, to win a NEW Halloween release image. And an image that I used on one of the cards below is the image you will be winning...the Sassy's Devil!!! Isn't she adorable?!? I will have post the winner of this image here on my blog on Wednesday, Sept. 16th so make sure you come back here and see if you are a winner!
I've been having lots of fun with the Sassy Angel and Devil Lindsay has drawn. For the first card I used the angel again. I just could have an angel card and not have her surrounded by clouds, so I stamped the clouds from Verve's Up, Up, and Away stamp set and cut them out. The clouds were also flocked and to do that I simply pushed the clouds face down into a glue pad and then poured white flock over it to give it more of a soft cloud feel. I also painted shimmerz over the wings and the dress to give her some sparkle and covered the halo and boots with CE. For the backgroud I used some vellum and a cuttlebug folder to emboss it and then taped it over some patterend pattern. I used the latest sketch from Sweet & Sassy too.
For the Sassy Devil I sponged black distress ink over everything to help give it a nighttime feel. I like how it turned out. Instead of all red I chose to add some black to her. I also covered the parts in black in CE and the horns and earrings were painted with shimmerz paint. I added a little flourish from PTI's Fancy Flourishes to the upper corner of the image to give a little something extra and to compliment the flourishes on the black paper. The sketch came from this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges blog.
Be aure you visit the other Sassy Sevens and leave your comments for them too.

MyGrafico Challenge Day
I kept my card simple in terms of colors: close to cocoa and so saffron. I added the sentiment before I printed and then used my copics to give it some color (Y21, Y23, & Y32). I wanted a weathered looks to this so I used the cracked glass technique. I really liked the end result.
Are you an Angel or a little Devil?
The first is a soft and sparklely angel card. Lindsay has created a sassy little angel sitting on a cloud and I love her for those days when I can be an angel; although, if you ask my students they may disagree ;) The base is cut to 4.5 X 4.25 so it would still fit my regular envelopes I use for my cards. The cloud with the sentiment came from another source (not sure where though) and I added the sentiment to it in PSE. For the angel I painted her wings with shimmerz paint and added CE to the halo, earrings, and boots. I really LOVE how her hair and the glow came out on this card. The glow is a technique I just learned how to do from this blog. I usually just outline the image, but with this angel sitting on the cloud I thought she would look better if I had a sunburst coming from behind and then I needed the sky to frame her boots. Because I LOVE anything shimmery (via shimmerz paints) I thought this would be perfect for the Stamp Somthing challenge this week. The sketch came from the Fall-to layout over at Clean & Simple. For some reason the picture of the colors I used didn't turn out so here they are: E13, E17, E18, E19, E50, E51, R20, B000, B0000, Y00, Y0000, Y21, and the colorless blender.
Now for the little devil of a sassy girl. Lindsay paired her up with this great jack-o-lantern and I wanted to sparkle her up some. I chose to outline her and create the ground instead of a sky background. The sketch came from CardPatterns challenge blog. I used some old DP and outlined the web in glue pen and added glitter to bring it some sparkle as well. The buttons just added to it as well since it is round (similar to a pumpkin), but the sparkle in her costume was added because you just can't have a Sassy card with it (or any card for that matter) and so she fits in the same challenge from Stamp Something. She is perfect for those days when I feel a little devilish (and for some of my friends who can be the same way).

Naughty or Nice?
Which one are you? Both the Sassy Devil and Sassy Angel will be released on the 15th at Sassy Studio Designs. They come as individuals, but I combined them in Photoshop and added a bigger cloud that would fit both of them. The little clouds on the side are from Verve's Up, Up, and Away. I used the same cloud the A & D are sitting on for the sentiment (I shrank the cloud a little more and added the words in PSE as well). The cloud came from another site, but I don't remember which one (sorry). The Sassy Angel does come sitting on a cloud while the Devil comes with a jack-o-lantern. I used the retro looking circles from the Cuttlebug to emboss the clear card to give it a little more deminsion. I used CE on the boots, belt, and halo and Shimmerz paint on the wings, horns, and end of the tail. The red rhinestones in the upper corner was added bring bring the red all the way through without being overpowering. I also used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
