Wedding Calamity

Good morning all!

It's that time again, today is the start of a new (P)inspirational Challenge!
We have this photo as our inspirational starting point:

Makes sense with Easter just around the corner, but my mind immediately went to this one piece of paper that I had in my stash with doily ovals. So I am sharing a wedding layout with you today, documenting my tendency for calamity, especially when something important is about to happen. So yes, I did manage to cut my fingers just before we got married and all eyes in the room would be on this hand......unbelievable how I managed it! Anyway, it's all good now, but it seemed a story worth recording to me, as accidents are such a big part of my personality LOL

What will you go for? Our sponsor this time is Sasayaki Glitter, so well worth entering the challenge!

Challenges

* Sweet Stampin' Challenge (Mellow Yellow) the lace border is created using a stamp
* Create with Connie & Mary (Colour Combination)
* Scrap It With a Song (Somebody to Love)

You can Stick It!

Hi all,

This week, it's my turn to pick a theme and host a challenge @ Fab 'n Funky and I've chosen "You can Stick It!". Okay, don't feel offended now, I am just referring to the type of product I would like you to use, which are Peel offs or Stickers, anything that sticks on it's own really. I don't know if you have the same 'problem', but I have absolute tons and tons of peel off stickers, borders, number and letters and haven't really been using them for a while. So I thought this would be the perfect time to use it up! Well, up, that would take numerous cards and other projects and they would have to be covered from head to toe in peel offs, but you have to make a start somewhere, right?

Here's my card:

Such a lovely image, Bugaboo is sponsoring us as well this week so if you fancy getting your hands on some of their digis as a prize, then come and play along :)

Saturated Pastels

Good morning my fellow crafty persons!

Today is another grey one here in the Netherlands, I have been having problems getting up every day this week. A lovely warm bed and an extra snooze just seems too inviting for me to jump out of bed and get on with my day. But it had to be done, so here I am :)

I am sharing a challenge card with you for Fab 'n Funky today, our lovely Sue has set the theme of 'Pastel Colours'. We are sponsored by Saturated Canary, who is offering two digis to the winner, and the DT also got to pick an image to work with. I picked Naveah, such a lovely dreamy image, what a lovely floaty dress. As usual with Saturated Canary images, there is an abundance of hair to colour, which I think I didn't totally do justice, wasn't pleased with how that bit of the card turned out. I do like the shading on her dress though, I've done worse ;) I also decided to add a little hand stitching around the edges, I think it looks great but it was a hell of a lot of work and fiddly too! Anyway, I love how this card turned out overall, I can use it for so many occasions, including perhaps Mother's Day for my MIL.

Materials:
* Saturated Canary Navaeh, coloured with Promarkers & highlighted with a Sakura Glitter Pen
* EMP Vintage and K&Co Ancestry.com Mat Pad DPs, slightly distressed with Distress Tool and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
* Wooden butterflies from local stores (Xenos and Pipoos)
* Personal Impressions sentiment stamp
* Scalloped circle punch
* Pearls from stash

Challenges:
* Cutie Pie (Pretty Pastels)
* One Stitch at a Time (Use a Digi)
* Color Me Creative (Girly Time)
* Simply Create Too (Mother's Day/For a Female)
* LEJ (For a Lovely Lady)
* Whoopsi Daisy (Add a Sentiment)
* Paper Playtime (Sentiments Stamps)
* Tuesday Throwdown (Thinking of You)
* Little Miss Muffet (Blue & Yellow)
* Sassy Studio (Real or Faux Stitching)

Happy Mother's Day

Hello all,

If all goes well, I will be back at work tomorrow. Thank you for all the well-wishes, it definately cheered me up! I'm still not a 100%, but the show must go one or something like that :)

On the 3rd of March is UK Mother's Day, so I've made a card for my mother-in-law Mary. Dutch Mother's Day is in May, so I have a little time left to work on my mum's card.

It's a fairly simple card, but still nice I think. I wouldn't have chosen the yellow, but it was requested by my husband and why would I want to argue with that?

Materials used:
* Studio Light image & backing paper
* Eline Vintage stamp set
* Flower punch
* Pink ribbon & Diamonds from stash

I am submitting to:
* CYDA (For Mum)
* Papertake Weekly (It's a Mum's Thing)
* Nadia's Challenge (Flowers)
* Ooh la la (Mother's Day)
* DCD (Mother's Day)
* Easy Craft (Mother's Day)
* Bearly Mine (Mother's Day)
* Simon Says Stamp (Mother's Day)
* The Paper Shelter (Flower Power)
* Let's Craft and Create (Mum's the Word)

Well, this is definately it from me for this week. I will have a ton of work waiting for me, I'm afraid, so no time for crafting. Hope to see you then!
