An Apple a Day......

Hi all,

This week at Delightful Challenges, the challenge theme is "Red, White & Blue", no doubt linking up with the 4th of July. As we don't celebrate that here in the Netherlands, I decided to make a Get Well Soon card using the lovely apple image. You know, an apple a day keeps the doctor away ;) The tear-shaped dew drops looked a bit like apple seeds to me, so I added it on there, even though the apple isn't cut in half.

I had to be in the city for a graduation ceremony of some of my students and on the way back I popped into a craft store. I bought this lovely set of stencils and had a play with one of them (the honeycomb) straight away on this card. I like the look and think I will be using it quite a few times! The set also includes handwriting, paint splashes and a brick wall stencil.

Hope You're Feeling Better

Hi guys,

It's been great weather around here for the last couple of days, thankfully as I was getting a bit depressed with all the snow, cold and rain! Spring might actually be springing this time ;) However, I'm sure where you are the same as here, many people are still struggling with the last remnants of the cold and flu and Get Wel Soon cards are still pretty dang handy at the moment! Great timing for the new Delightful Challenge, asking for your "Get Well Soon" makes!

I thought to combine the theme with lots of flowers and spring-like colours, everyone who is a little under the weather can use a bit of bright spring colours on their card I think :)

* Studio Light sentiment

Bee Better

Hi all,

What a busy week I've had, finally I've arrived at the last day of my working week. Tomorrow I'm off to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary with them! This week, the theme for the Delightful Challenge is "Buttons, Bling & Embellishments". I can't believe I did it again and managed to forget an element of the challenge theme, as you will be hard pressed finding a button on my card. My memory is really all over the shop! At least I got the bling and the embellishments right, two out of three ain't bad :)

The image I used it part of the new range for March, there have been a lot of people under the weather lately so a very useful image to have right now I think :)

Hello all!

How was your weekend? Since I am still recovering from the flu, I spent my weekend just pottering around the house and doing a bit of crafting & baking. It was lovely :)

Today I have a Get Well Soon card to share with you, made for the Ooh La La Challenge starting today with the theme "Sparkle & Shine". Bear at Centre Stage

Good morning everyone,

You might have noticed my posts being a little "all business, no chat" lately, that's because I have been enormously busy at work and have also taken up going to the gym again. So basically, if I'm not working, sleeping, exercising, eating, traveling or crafting, I'm blogging! Not much time at the end of the list, I'm afraid. I hope everything will get back to normal very soon, fingers crossed!

This week @ Fab 'n Funky, we are challenging you to "Include a (Teddy) Bear" as your main image on your project. We are being sponsored by Doodle Pantry and we were given some lovely bears to feature on our projects, this is mine:

Use a Die Cut!

Good morning everyone!

The new challenge over at Card Makin' Mamas has started, this time we would like to see your creativity using "DIE-CUTS"! You can interpret this any which way suits you best, but your card needs to include a die-cut somewhere! We are sponsored by Saturated Canary this time (don't you just love the name?), the lucky winner can get their hands on 2 digis of their choice, and there is a LOT of choice :)

Here's my make:

Isn't she a little cutie? I made it difficult for myself to colour, since I printed the image out fairly small and the image is so intricate, that in order to get a nice colour on the apples I decided to 3D them. They look pretty tasty to me, don't you think? Perfect for when you're a little under the weather I'd say!

Materials:
* White base card
* Saturated Canary Digi (Snow White - A Princess), coloured with Promarkers
* Prima Marketing Jack and Jill DP
* Cream die cut, inked with blue ink
* Sentiment stamp, gems and bow from stash

Challenges:
* Crafts and Me (Use Blue on Your Card)
* Crafts 4 Eternity (Magical Mystical)
* Polka Doodles (Magical & Mystical)
* Scrapbook Sisters (Anything Goes)
* Stampin' B's (Use Items Starting with P: Princess)
* The Kraft Journal (Anything Goes)
* Delicious Doodles (Good vs Evil)
* CCEE Stampers (Funny Get Well Soon Card)
* Paper Crafting Yourney (Use a Digi)
* Sassy Studio (Favourite Film --> Snow White when I was a kid)

I am hoping to see you all participating in the challenge, check out the challenge blog if you would like some more inspiration!

Only a few more days until we get the keys to the new house, I am so excited! Have a lovely weekend :)
