Hi everyone!
Well, I've finally caved and bought myself a die-cutting machine. I'm now the proud owner of a Cuttlebug and I absolutely love it! So for this week's Fab 'n Funky Challenge, I decided to use some of my new dies and embossing folders to create a card with the theme "A TOUCH OF FROST". You can think about a frosty scene, some frosty sparkles or even frosting on a cake or cupcake! The choice is yours of course, I made another Christmas card:
Materials:
* Stitchy Bear Lucy Goes Skating digi by Reeces Scrap Pieces, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* Dovecraft Let It Snow DPs, embossing with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder from the Heritage set
* Cart-Us Scalloped Oval die set
* Seedless Preserves Black Soot Distress Ink
* Eline's Winterhuis Jingle Bells stamp set
* Memories Direct Flowers
* Snowflake brads & gem from stash
Hope you can join us once again for one of the last challenges of 2013!
Challenges:
* Kaboodle Doodles (Start of Winter)
* Paper Makeup Stamps (Snow Fun)
* Everybody Art (Winter)

To the One I Love
Good Monday all!
I don't know about you, but this hot weather certainly doesn't make me want to spend a lot of time in my sauna of a crafty room. To be honest, I'd rather sit in the garden with a history mag or spend a couple of hours in front of the fan watching a funny film with my hubs. However, I still want to be creative and try to craft for shorter periods of time, which works well but my progress is a lot slower.
We also had guests this weekend; one of my oldest friends and her husband spend some time at our house and stayed overnight. It was great to catch up with them, as we don't get to see each other that often.
But I did manage to make a card today's Ooh La La Challenge, themed "To the One You Love". I found an image that was already divided in two halves and thought it would be fun to make a gate fold card with it:
Materials:
* Ooh La La Together Forever image & DP from the Everyday Occasions CD
* Crafter's Companion CS
* Victorian Velvet Distress Ink
* Peel offs from my stash
Can't wait to see your creations, come and join us if you can!
Challenges:
* Tuesday Throwdown (Anything Goes)
* Oldie but a Goodie (In the Garden)
* Let's Craft & Create (Anything Goes)
* Crafts and Me (Anything Goes)
* Brown Sugar (Anything Goes)
* Southern Girls (No Spoolin')
* Dream Valley (Fancy Folds)
* Anything Goes Challenge (Anything Goes)
* Digi Haven (Any Animal)
* Creative Fingers (Anything Goes)

Christmas in July
Good morning all!
Phew, it is hot out there! Hot in here too, at work it's almost unbearable sometimes but I can't take any holidays yet so I need to soldier on for a bit longer ;) It's funny with this hot weather that our theme this time @ Fab 'n Funky is 'Christmas in July'! Have you started your Christmas cards yet? I started in January to be honest, so that I can mix Christmas projects with other types of craft. That way I don't get bored with Christmas Trees, Tinsel and Baubles :) We are sponsored by My Creative Craftroom and Dilly Beans, the latter providing us with some great images to use in our DT inspiration projects. I really like the style of these images; not too neatly drawn, just like in life ;)
Materials:
* Dilly Beans Amalia's Christmas Lights, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* Dovecraft T'Is the Season DP
* Co'ordinations Retro Mod Squad CS
* Afternoon Tea Candi
* Eline's Winterhuis Sentiment stamp
* Peel off corners from stash
It would be great if you can join us with your Crimbo projects, I'm very curious to see what you can come up with.
Challenges:
* The Squirrel & The Fox (Christmas in July)
* Crafty Hazelnut (Christmas Card Suitable for a Child)
* Card Mania (Christmas in July)
* Simply Create Too (Christmas in July)
* Dutch Card Lovers (Christmas in July)
* Always Something Creative (Christmas)
* Shelly's Images (Christmas in July)
* Stamp & Create (Christmas in July)
* ABC (Christmas in July)
* LEJ (Christmas in July)

A Ditzy Sketch
<<This is my second post for the day, You can find my CCAYR DT post below!>>
Hello again crafty friends!
Today is also the start of a new Delightful Challenge, which is a "Sketch" this time! If you've been following my blog, you know how I feel about sketches, they're not my favourite challenge type. But I do think I managed to adhere to the challenge, well almost at least. I didn't include a bow, I don't know why but I can't seem bows to work on my projects. They make everything bulky, they fall off, there's glue everywhere......they just don't do it for me. So I replaced it with some chipboard. Oh, and i just realised I didn't mat the sentiment like in the sketch either, so I wasn't as good as I thought I was ;)
I also had the wonderful idea to turn the sketch into a gatefold, forgetting that if I would cut away the bottom bit of the sideflaps the card wouldn't be able to stand! So I made a little easel style stand from a cutoff piece of Kraft and stuck that on the back. Problem solved :)
Materials:
* Kraft CS
* Digital Delights Ditzy Reindeer & Circular Christmoose sentiment, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* Hely Cuppleditch Pepper's Christmas Party DPs
* Red, white & black ink
* Make Me Oval die & Rounded corned punch
* SEI Christmas Mint Chiplet
* Daisy & Dandelion 'All Wrapped Up' Wishes sentiment stamp
* Cosmic Shimmer Red Fire Twinkles
We are being sponsored by
I hope you can join us!
Challenges:
* The Crafty Pad (Christmas is Coming)
* Pink Gem Challenge (Polka Dots/Spots)
* Creative Card Crew (Fancy Folds)
* One Stitch at a Time (Make 1 for Christmas)
* Corrosive Challenge (Know When to Fold 'Em)
* Stamptacular Sunday (Not Just an Ordinary Card)
* Amusing Challenge (Anything Goes)
* Crafty Ann's (Christmas in October)
* Mema's Craft (Anything Goes Winter/Holiday themed)
* Ooh La La (C..Christmas)

Alice in Pearls and Lace
Good morning my fellow crafters!
Did you have a good weekend? I had a lovely relaxing one, first time this year we had candles on in the evening for me is always a sign that summer is well and truly over and we're heading into autumn. Not long now until we need to crank up the heating again!
Today we are starting another challenge @ PCD, we are challenging you to make a crafty project using pearls and lace. I love pearls and use them a lot of my cards, so that wasn't really difficult to incorporate, but the lace was a different story altogether. I had a card made, but then noticed a blob of glue, attempted to wipe it away and took the DP design with it......I hate that. So this is my second attempt, let's see if your makes come together a little more easily :)
Materials:
*Create & Craft CS
* PCD Alice, coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noirs
* Art Talent & Docraft Country Companions For Someone Special DPs
* Lace from local department store (HEMA)
* Prima Violet Daisy Doodles Flower
* Eline Vintage sentiment stamp
* Pearls from my stash
Challenges:
* Dutch Card Lovers (Dots)
* Crazy Challenge (Spots or Stripes)
* MAWTT (Girly, Girly)
* That Craft Place (Bling it On)
* Stamptacular Stamping Sunday (Bling it Up) I've used glittered DP and pearls
* Challenges for Everybody (Anything Goes)
* Ladybug Crafts (Anything Goes)
* Heck of a Challenge (Anything Goes)
* I Brake for Challenges (Use a Digi)
* Live & Love Crafts (Lovely Lace and/or Terrific Trim)

Christmas Birthday
Hello everyone!
Ooh, I have been very lazy the last few days! Sleeping in, vegging on the sofa, not going out and no energy to do anything as a result! Bad me! So I locked myself up in my crafty room and managed to finish a couple of DT assignments which is great because everything will be kicking off next week. But first I wanted to share my dad's birthday card, his birthday is on Boxing Day and he turned 75 this year. Still going strong, my dad :)
A few days ago I shared my father-in-law's birthday card and as you can see this card looks fairly similar. I decorated the inside of the card with some paper scraps and a snowflake sentiment, I forgot to take a picture of it though.
Materials:
* Champagne base card, gateway folded
* Dovecraft Let it Snow & Studio Light DPs
* Studio Light 3d image
* Spellbinders shape, used a seal for the card
Challenges:
* Bearly Mine (Anything Goes)
* City Crafter (Make the Cut)
* Crafty Calendar (Cold & Frosty)
* Fairytale Challenge (Something Simple)
* Little Darlings (Cold)
* Little Miss Muffet (Anything Goes)
* One Stop Craft (Winter Wishes)
* Secret Crafter (Anything Goes)
* Scrap it With a Song (A Christmas Carol - Walking in a Winter Wonderland)
* ABC Challenge (Frost)
That's it from me today, hope you are all having a wonderful New Year's Eve (or Hogmanay as we call it at home)! Thank you for all your visits, comments and inspiration over the year, much appreciated :)
