Hi all!
Is the flu roaming around where you are too? Here it is creating havoc, hubs just having recovered and now I'm getting it! At work it's also a complete disaster, with me having to cover for colleagues who can't come in. All in all a pretty busy week!
However, there's also good news, as a new Fab 'n Funky challenge is staring today! This week, Judith is challenging you to use "Traditional Christmas Colours". You don't need to make a Christmas themed project, just as long as you use colours that are traditionally associated with Christmas. We are sponsored this week by DigiDarla, which also provided the jolly fella below.
I did make a Christmas card, as I need to do several more. I'm really pretty pleased with this card; even though it isn't very high on embellishments I spent the entire night playing with ideas and adding finishing touches, taking them off and putting them back on again. I ended up with a pretty striking card, I think. Love it :)
Hope you can join the fun this week!

Dress Up with Beads
Happy Wednesday everyone!
First, I would like to welcome my new followers, what a lovely surprise you guys are following me now too, hope you like what you see!
I have to be honest, this week's Fab 'n Funky theme had me stumped at first, my teamie Rachel had set a challenge alright! She is asking for projects featuring " Beads". I quickly realised that I didn't have any beads in my stash, but that was easily fixed by a quick trip to a local book & craft fair. Once I had the beads, the next challenge was to incorporate them into my card's design. I decided on threading them on some twine and make a border out of them. My teamies have come up with quite a few ideas, so have a look at the challenge blog post before you start on your own project. Here's mine:
Materials:
* Digi Darla Fancy Dress, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* Sakura Purple Glitter pen for the bodice
* DP scraps from my scrappy shoebox
* Tim Holtz Distresser
* MS Doily Lace Border Punch
* Beads, sentiment & gems from stash
Our sponsor this week is Digi Darla Designs, who also provided the DT with some lovely digis!
