Blingy Buttons

Good morning everyone!

Did you all have a nice weekend? We certainly did, we spent a couple of days in Zeeland, one of the Dutch coast provinces. We had beautiful sunny weather, but there was quite a lot of wind so it was still a bit nippy on occasion. It was wonderful though to get away for a few days :)

But now it's Monday again and there's plenty of fun things today was well, among which is a new challenge over @ Ooh La La, themed "Buttons & Bling". I managed to finish this card by the skin of my teeth, I was working on it yesterday evening when we came back! A case of bad planning on my part I'm afraid, but I managed to finish before my eyes fell shut somehow :) Such a beautiful flowers image, the CD Fleur D'Imagination is packed with them! I'm pretty happy with this card, I love the papers I found in my stash, very cheerfu making the card usuable for many occasions, always good to have in your stash :)

Materials:
* Ooh La La Pom Pom image from the Fleur D'Imagination CD, sprayed with Crafter's Companion Iridescent Glitter Spray
* My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow and Art Talent DPs
* Victorian Velvet & Forest Moss Distress Inks

* Button & twine from stash (I applied some crackle glaze on the button, but you can't see it very well)

Gingerbread Buttons

Hi everyone,

I had some lovely extra days off, we didn't do much as I still had my cold but is was nice to just be hanging around. I still did a little work, as I am falling a little bit behind after our holiday but I still got to sleep in and do a little crafting too.  But, today I'm back on my daily commute to work, coinciding with the new CCAYR Challenge for this month, the theme this time is "Use a Gingerbread image on your project, together with ribbon and at least 3 buttons". A little more complicated theme this month, but I am sure you will be able to create a project for it!

I had a little difficulty finding a ginger bread image in my stash, but in the end found one in a decoupage magazine, meant as part of a small gift tag. So I decided to use a tag on my card to fill out the front of the card a little more; I think it works but am curious to what you think.

Materials:
* Studio Light Decoupage image
* Dovecraft Noel & Let it Snow DPs
* K&Co Christmas Cheer Tag Pad
* Peacock Feather Distress Ink
* Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas Vintage Buttons
* Dark Cocoa Sew Easy Floss
* Eline's Winterhuis sentiment stamp
* Ribbon from stash

Challenges:
* Charisma Cardz (Polka Dots)
* Southern Girls (Buttons, Badges or Flair)
* Crafts 4 Eternity (At least 3 patterned papers)
* Crafty Ribbons (Anything Goes with Ribbon)
* Crimbo Crackers (Anything Goes)

One for the boys

Hello all! I am staying home for a couple of days to recover from this cold and now that I'm feeling a bit better I can craft again without having to grab a hanky every 5 seconds! Today I have a male birthday card to show you. I always have trouble making cards for guys. I think it works best if the image is either linked with their interests or cartoony.

Materials used:
* Dovecraft SMIRK Him & DCWV Mango Frost backing papers
* Studiolight Decoupage images
* Making Memories Poolside Bows & Buttons button
* Personal Impressions and Eline Vintage Stamp Sets
* Elastic string from my stash
* Corner rounding punch

I am submitting to the following challenges:
* Creatalicious Challenge (Two-toned)
* Cupcake craft (Monochrome)
* CES (Inspired by a song: Please Mr Postman)
* Charisma Cards (Birthday for a Teen)
* Crafts and Me (Anything Goes)
* Southern Girls Challenge (Add an animal)
* Totally Gorjuss (Button it)
* Totally Papercraft (Add buttons)
* Papercutz (Your Choice)
* Clear It Out (Buttons)

Hope you like the card, I will be back later this week with a Mother's Day card. Have a great day!
