Decopatch frame done and dusted.. Just need to do the outside of the back cover.. Heaven forbid it's not finished properly.. Lol.. I'm one of those freaks who likes the back to be done every bit as much as the front.. Doesn't make a difference that this will hardly be seen.. Its simply a case of.. If a job's worth doing.. It's worth doing well'.

Right.. Off to do the back cover then it will be dinner time.

Just heard

Breathing a sigh of relief as I've just heard from my in-laws.. Current update for the Orange County area of California.. Waves of 3ft are expected to hit the coastline there.. Fortunately that should not cause too much disruption to the area..

Thoughts are still with all of those thousands of people who have not been so fortunate.

Finished..

Morning all.. Well I finished my bracelet yesterday and here it is.. I so enjoyed just sitting back, relaxing whilst constructing this cutie.. Only one problem.. Think I'm addicted now and have to stock up on some more kits.. Lol.

This morning.. I'm onto doing a decopatch frame whilst staying tuned to Fox news..

TSUNAMI

What devastating news to awake to this morning about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

My heart is with all of those already affected by this tragedy and now my fears are also for my in-laws located in California.

My father in law lives along the californian coast line and is only about 2 miles from the ocean.. There was until recently a 'watch' on his area which has just been upgraded to a 'warning'. Basically this means there is a very good chance that he will have to evacuate his house later today.

Think most of my day will be spent watching Fox News so I can keep an eye on what is going on and pray that all is well.

Please pray for all affected.

A new day

Morning all.. Another new day has dawned.. Well quite a few hours ago now.. Lol.. And thankfully I'm feeling slightly better today again. Looks like I'm heading on the right tracks now and long may it continue.

So.. I'm trying to get myself motivated again and what better way than something easy and relaxing.. Playing with some beads... Oh yeah.. My lovely friend Lynsey at Ashby Designs shipped me a bracelet kit a few weeks back so I've decided to have a play with it today.

I may be an hour or two depending upon whether I need a nap in the middle but I'll be back later with my finished bracelet to share with you all... So.. Time to get back to play and try to get this old mojo back on track.

Mask for Nicole

Well my neighbours daughter wanted something brought back from the SECC for her to decopatch so I decided upon this for her along with a selection of papers.

Passed it over to her on Monday, and she was over the moon with my choice and was looking forward to getting started. She's such a wonderful kid, never a hassle and always listens to what you say.. She loves her crafting and its nice to see her trying her hand at other things and not just sticking to card making.

Wonder what's going to be next on her list.. Lol.

Right.. Off to make myself a wee cuppa now as I feel like I'm about ready to fall asleep again.. Lol.

Last day

Afternoon all.. Well I think I'm making slow recovery but slow is better than not at all so I'm happy with that..

Below is some pics.. The one's with wide awake people.. (Lol).. Were taken on the final morning of the show at the SECC and this top one is at the very end of the day when everything is being cleared away.

Afternoon..

Well folks.. Sorry I've not been around but I'm still feeling a bit under the weather.. As you can see from the stash that's within easy reach.. Lol.

Fortunately today my coughing appears to have eased up a little but I simply can't keep my eyes open.. Think sleep deprivation is now catching up with me so I've spent the day snoozing on the sofa.. Fortunately I'm falling asleep for a few hours at a time and then I wake for about 15 mins or so and I'm away to nod land again.. I'm sure this will help my recovery too so I'm going with it.

Fingers crossed I'll feel a little better come tomorrow again.. However, right now.. Time to sleep again.

Day of rest.. Lol

Oh yeah.. I'm having a day of rest today in the hopes that I can get rid of this really stupid, irritating cough..

What a fab time I had working with Kay Rutter at the SECC.. Shame I didn't get a chance to demo the Hougie though but I couldn't stop coughing long enough.. And poor Kay had to listen to it non stop.. She did throw the odd sweetie my way, along with my Cavonia.. Lol.

I'm glad to say that Kay and most of the other traders have now made it home safely after long drives last night after the show finished.

Thank you Kay I had a wonderful time.

Will be back later with pics of the few goodies I bought but right now.. I'm off to put the kettle and washing machine on.. Lol

Evening all..

Well my apologies for the lack of pictures today but it was just way too busy on the stand to get away to take snaps of anyone.. However, I did mange to get this one yesterday of our very own blogland buddy Ann Russell.. Yes she's in full demo flow and bantering away with customers..

So, it's been a long busy day and I'm so glad that Kay was prepared and brought our lunch in with her this morning.. Thank you Kay.. We managed to get a cup of coffee before the show opened and the next one we managed to get was somewhere around the 3 o'clock mark.. Yes we were just a little busy on the stand today.. Lol.. And may I add.. I hope tomorrow is every bit as good as today was.

Last day tomorrow, then break down and I think Monday will be spent lounging on the sofa, taking it easy and hoping that my cough starts to disappear.. Either that or it will be a trip to docs as Kath told me she had the same thing and ended up having to get meds to clear it up..

With that said.. I've had my soak and my dinner so off to watch a half hour of tv before hitting the sack for some much needed sleep..
