Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day 3 and 4

Days 3 and 4 of the Online Card Classes was about stretching your alphabet and sentiment stamps.  Kelly Marie Alvarez of Lawn Fawn Stamps made a cute card with an umbrella.  I CASE'd it using Stampin'Up! Life's Adventure stamp (Hostess gift) and an alphabet Studio G by Hampton Art Stamp Set I picked up at Michael's in the bargain bin.

The fox is clear heat embossed and colored with Derwent Inktense Pencils.  I used Stampin'Up! Soft Sky and Blushing Bride ink and Stampin'Up! cardstock.

House of Cards April Sketch Challenge

Good Morning!  The Challenge over at the House of Cards Challenge Blog for April is a sketch challenge. So this two weeks of April is for Clean & Simple Cards (CAS) or Classic & Elegant cards that follow the sketch.  Hop on over and play along with us.  Here is my DT card for the challenge.

Here's the sketch.

I am still playing with my Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Trellis Framework Die.  The diecut was leftover from another card I did.  The papers are "Nature Garden" from Prima.  I filled in the diecut with papers that coordinated with the background paper.  The butterfly is Memory Box Darla and Vivienne.  I double embossed the Vivienne butterfly with clear embossing powder to give it a nice shine.  Then I stamped and colored the Hampton Art Graphic 45 "Once Upon a Springtime" stamp.

I am also entering this in the MOJO Monday 342.

Online Card Classes Clean and Simple Cardmaking 2

As a combination Christmas/Birthday present from my dear SIL, I got a ticket to the Online Card Classes Clean and Simple Cardmaking 2.  This is the first day and I have learned so much from the videos.  This is my version of the card that Jennifer McGuire demonstrated in the class.  She used Hero Arts metal die cuts that matched the stamp set and Hero Arts Shadow ink.  I used Cricut Artiste die cuts, my mish-mashed collection of Thank You stamps and Tim Holtz Distressed Inks.

OWH Sketch Challenge #123 and Club Scrap

After viewing the wonderful cards on the blog hop and the stamping video that Club Scrap made for OWH, I decided to try out a kit from Club Scrap.  I ordered their Wildflower May Club Stamp kit.  I found their DSP to be gorgeous and the quality of their cardstock is phenomenal!  Here is Operation Write Home Sketch #123 using Club Scrap DSP, cardstock and vellum.

The stamp image is from Hampton Art and I picked it up on sale at 123 Stitch.  They carry rubber stamps as well as cross stitch and needlepoint products.  The background for the stamp is Tim Holtz Adirondak Alcohol Inks in Purple Twilight, Sunshine Yellow and Gold Mixative on Ranger Glossy Paper.  I stamped the image with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink.  The edges of the papers were inked with Tim Holtz Tea Dye distresssed ink.  The flower is from Creative Charms.
