Cute CAS card

Hello everybody! How's it going? I've been pretty busy lately, but I still managed to squeeze in some time to craft.

I'm a guest designer at the Cut it out challenge blog and this time our challenge is CAS.

As you know I've been really digging the CAS look lately, so I've really enjoyed making this card.

To create this card I started stenciling a pattern on a white card base. Then I went throguh my huge pile of scraps and chose a piece of patterned paper which I thought would look good on my card and create a pretty border using a border die cut. Then I chose a stamp; I decided to play with this super cute snowman from Stamping Bella. I coloured the image with polychromos, cut it out and glued it on my card with foam pads. I added the sentiment and then I die cut some snowflakes and put them randomly on a card. At the end I embellished the card with some gems and pearls.

So, that's all from me today. Have a beautiful day! :)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
NBUS: Challenge 47 (I've never used this stencil before)
Word art Wednesday: Anything goes
ABC Christmas challenge: D is for die cuts
As you like it: Favourite stencil or freestyle background (I recently bought some new stencils and I really enjoy playing with them; the one I used on this card is one of my favourites, because I really like the pattern)

Snowy hugs

Hey hey! I have some extra free time and I decided to use it to share a Christmas/holiday card I made. You probably know I love making those to send them out to friends and family during the holiday season. And recently I received some new super cute and fun winter stamps and I can't wait to use them, but you'll have to wait a little bit longer to see cards made with them (I'm a SUPER slow crafter and right now I am quite busy at work). Today I'll share with you another winter/holiday card that I made with one of my favourite holiday images - this adorable snowman from Stamping Bella...

I took the inspiration from the previous two cards I shared with you on my blog - I kept the same design as I used on the card that I shared with you here and I created the same striped background with washi tape as I did on the card I shared with you here. I like how colourful this card is. Might need to make another one like it, even though I usually don't make duplicate (or even more of the same) cards. As usually I did the colouring with polychromos and then I fussy cut the image and raised it on foam pads for some extra dimension.

That's all from me today. Have a lovely day! xx

Snowy the snowman

Hey hoy! How are you doing? Spring is in full swing here - finally. Oh, how I missed it... I'm enjoying the warmer sunny days now. :) What about you? What's been going on where you live?

I haven't been doing much papercrafting lately. Or any other crafting at that matter. I did some beading, but that was pretty much it. I've been pretty busy with work and when I was not working I usually spent time with my family - we either went for a walk, for a daily trip somewhere... Time well spent, don't you think so?

Anyways, I might show you what I made with beads some other time, today I want to show you another Christmas card I made last year, but haven't posted it online yet.

I absolutely love CAS cards and I really admire people who can do them. I wish I was one of them, but I (almost) always end up adding several layers (and usually even quite a few embellishments *ooops*). This card is pretty much as CAS as I can do...

This adorable snowman is a SB stamp and he always makes me smile. Isn't he adorable?! I love using him on my Christmas/winter/holiday projects. I coloured this lil fella with polychromos and I added liquid applique on the white parts of his hat. I LOVE that stuff. It's so easy to use and gives such a nice fluffy touch. Love, love, love it.

I raised the "frame" I created with dies, snowman and sentiment on foam pads to give the card some dimension.

So much for today. Have a wonderful day! xx

Holiday hugs

Hello lovlies. How are you doing?

The other day when I was writing Christmas cards my lil one came around and asked me which of those cards is for her. I explained to her that all of those cards are for our friends and family members. She looked me with those big eyes and said: "But they are so pretty. I want one too." So I promised her that I will make another card just for her so she can display it in her bedroom. She wasn't too keen about this idea, because she knew this means she would have to wait a couple of days for her card, but when I told her she could choose the image herself she agreed. :) She chose the cute snowman stamp from Stamping Bella. I also love this snowman. I thin it's very cute and I feel like he has his hands up in the air like this because he wants to give everybody a hug. :D

My lil one loves pink (who would have thought, right?! :P) so I wanted to make a card in pink tones, but I realized I don't have any pink dp that would be suitable for a Christmas card. *ooops* So I changed my plan and went for purple and torquise colour combination. And I added some yellow(ish) gold snowflakes for that extra splash of colours. The lil missy was happy with the card, which is most important.

Papers are from my stash and so are all the embellishments. I coloured the image with polychromos and added some diamond stickles on the white parts of the hat.

When I showed my daughter this card her first reaction was "wow", and then immediately followed this question: "Where are the hearts?" I had an "ummmmm" moment for a couple of seconds, because hearts were not part of the original request. Luckily I used the La La Land snowflakes (my favourite snowflake dies!) on this card and they have small heart shaped holes in them. So I showed those to my daughter and luckily she was happy with that. Now this card is displayed on a shelf in her bedroom.

As this is my last post before Christmas, let me wish you a merry Christmas. May it be filled with love and laughter despite the strange time we are in right now. I hope you will get to spend it with your loved ones. Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Fun in the snow

Hi there! :) How are you doing? Do you have any snow where you live? We don't have any here anymore, but I hope we will get some for Christmas. *fingers crossed* The big day is just around the corner. Yay! :D Are you looking forward to it? Have you bought all the Christmas presents yet or are you doing some very last minute shopping this year? I have them all, I just need to wrap them up and put them under the Christmas tree. :)

So, today I want to share with you another Christms card I made.

This snowman always brings a smile to my face. Isn't it adorable with that little chick on top?! Love it! I did the colouring with pencils. The small silver snowflakes around the image are stickers that I had in my stash. Papers are from DCWV. The big white snowflakes are covered with glitters and are really sparkly in person. I hope you can see this in the photo below.

In the center of two big snowflakes I added small silver snowflake sequins and pearl and in the center of the third one I glued a wooden snowman that I had in my stash. I also used some lace and smaller pearls to embellish the card.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful holiday season! xx

Happy holidays

Hello there! How are you doing? Did you have a nice Halloween? Did you do anything special on the scariest night of the year? We don't really celebrate Halloween here so it was just an ordinary day for us.

Now that the spooky holiday is behind us we can concentrate on Christmas. Yay! :D Have you done any Christmas shopping yet? I have already bought some presents, but not all. And for a change I am also on track with my Christmas cards this year - score! I'm about to show you the most recent one I made. This forthnight we have a sletch challenge at The sketchy challenges and the ard I am going to show you was made as inspiration for this challenge.

As you can see I decided to make another card in non-traditional colours. The papers I used are from Lawn Fawn and I really like them. The adorable snowman is a Stamping Bella stamp. I did the colouring with pencils. I embellished the card with some lace, crystals, sequins and "happy holidays" metal charm.

I hope you will come play with us. Have a wonderful day!

Following the sketch

Hello everybody! How are you doing? It's freezing outside so I am enjoying my time inside and I only go out if I absolutely must.

A new challenge started at The Sketchy Challenges today and it's a sketch. I received some new crafty goodies for Christmas and I couldn't wait to play with them. One of them is this adorable snowman stamp that I used on today's card.

I hope you are not tired of seeing winter/Christmas cards yet. I've decided that I will be mainly (but not only) making those this year. My crafting time is getting very limited, so I want to use it wisely. And since I love sending out Christmas cards, I want to have a big pile of them ready when December comes.

I used papers from DCWV and I embellished the card with some cheesecloth and some crystals.

This cute little snowman is a Stamping Bella stamp. How cute is it?! I love it! It brings a smile to my face each time I look at it. :) I did the colouring with Promarkers and pencils.

I hope you will come play with us. Have a wonderful day! xx
