A Christmas Visitor

Good afternoon

Hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend ... it's been a busy week for me with one thing and another so think i'm just going to take it easy and maybe squeeze some crafting in here and there :-)

As soon as I saw this gorgeous Sheena Douglass robin stamp set a few weeks ago I knew I had to buy it for my Nan's Christmas card ... she loves traditional cards especially with robins.

That's all from me ... now going to have a quick whizz round with the hoover and then it will be time for the school run.

Hope you have a great weekend :-)

Sheena Douglas Sneak Peek

Good afternoon

The lovely and very talented Sheena Douglass is launching a Paint Fusion CD as Pick of the Week on Create & Craft this Friday 10th Feb and the Crafter's Companion design team were very lucky to be asked if we could make some samples.  The CD is a collection of printable toppers, decoupage, papers and more and is a perfect addition to Sheena's Paint Fusion range and can be used on it's own or in conjunction with the stamps, paints and mountboard shapes already available.

I decided to make a shaped easel using Go Kreate dies and my Grand Calibur (which has only been out of the box once since I bought it back in November ... shame on me!)  The beautiful decoupage image, papers and sentiment have all been printed from the CD.

This is a very different style of card for me but I must say I am rather pleased with it :-)

On Sunday 12th Feb the lovely Leann Chivers from Crafter's Companion is launching a brand new range from Epiphany Crafts ~ an innovative company that produces a number of tools that allow you to make your own embellishments.  I will be back tomorrow to share a sneak peek with you.  In the meantime if you would like more information on all the latest launches from Sheena and Crafter's Companion click here.

Last Sneak Peak :o)

Good morning

Today I am showing you my last sneak peak using Sheena's new stamp range which is being launced today.  The beautiful image on this card is from one of the 'Wouldn't It Be Lovely' stamp plates and was one of my favs to colour.

For this card I wanted the image to be the main focal point so decided to use one of my Cuttlebug folders for the background instead of papers.  I added just a little detail with the pearls and punched border using my favourite MS punch :o)

For My Dad

17/11/1947 - 2/10/2008

It's a sad day for me because it's two years ago that we lost my dearly loved dad.  He was only 60 and unfortunately suffered a stroke which he never recovered from.  I found this verse on the internet and it summed up my feelings about my dad so thought I would post it on here.

What we'd give if we could say,
'Hello Dad' in the same old way;
To hear your voice, and see your smile,
To sit with you and chat awhile,

So if you who have a father,
Cherish him with care,
For you'll never know the heartache,
Till you see his vacant chair.

Love and miss you always Dad xx

Hope you don't mind me posting about this but I still miss my dad as much as I did two years ago and couldn't let today pass without mentioning him.

Hope you all have a great weekend :o)

Another Sneak peek :o)

Good morning

Today I am sharing another card made with Sheena's new stamps which are being launched this Saturday.  The image on this card is from one of the Bah! Humbug! stamp plates.

This card is very CAS for me.  I think it could also be used for a winter birthday.  The backing paper is last year's Forever Friends, snowflakes are Marianne die cuts with a gem brad, swiss dots embossed card stock and gems from my stash.

Just a quick post from me today.  I need to catch up with the housework :o(

This beautiful image and sentiment are from one of the 'Wouldn't It Be Lovely' stamp plates.   As you all know I am very into 'cute' when it comes to rubber stamps so this is a very different style of card for me but I must say I rather like it :o)
