Shimmer Polish - Tape Manis - Week 4

Happy Friday everyone!!  So since it's Friday, we know what that means!!!  TAPE MANI!!! :-)  This is week four out of ten!  Cindy, the owner, was so kind to send me these to show you all!  I am having so much fun coming up with combinations!  I hope you all are enjoying what I've come up with so far!!

Today we are looking at Jennifer!  Here are a couple bottle shots!

You can purchase Shimmer Polish HERE on Etsy. You can also visit the
Shimmer Polish Blog! for information and lots of swatches! And you can also stay up to date with
Shimmer Polish on Facebook and on Twitter - @ShimmerPolish.

I started with a base of Cult Nails Let's Get Dirty, using 2 coats.  Here it is with no top coat. (This will be reviewed separately soon!)

I then added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Once that is dry, probably about 20 minutes or so, it's safe to use the tape! Of course, the longer you wait, there is less of a chance for smudges! If you are going to do a tape mani after wearing the polish for a day or two, I recommend reapplying the top coat to prevent the tape from pulling any of the original color with it!

When I do a tape mani, I apply the tape to my hand a few times to remove some of the tackiness of the tape. I lay it diagonally on the nail and with the clear tape, you can make sure the edges are flat against the nail. I do each nail individually with tape, then apply the polish. Once applied, I remove the tape and move the next nail. By the time that is finished, I add top coat (KBShimmer Clearly on Top) and BAM - Tape Mani!!!

I just love the glitters in this!!  They are very reflective, giving a beautiful glitz and glam feel!  The glitters are almost pastel in blue, orange, green, and purple.

There are some iridescent glitters in here too!  So beautiful!

Close ups!!

I love the tiny little squares!! And I love how these two look together!

In case you missed the previous manis, Candace is HERE!, Julie is HERE!, and Irene is HERE!

I hope you are enjoying the Shimmer Polish tape manis so far!! Please check back next week for the next tape mani! ;-)

Polish Addict - In Bloom and Anna's Garden

Hello Everyone!!  I hope you all are having a great week!  Luckily, this week has gone by pretty fast for me!  Since last weekend was so busy, hopefully this one will be lots of swatching! ;-)

Today I have two Polish Addict polishes that I was sent for review!  Both have flower glitter and are great for spring!

Laura and Crystal, the owners, have a shop at www.shoppolishaddict.bigcartel.com, however the shop is currently closed in order to restock and will reopen in a couple days!
Make sure you check back, because they have some beautiful creations available!! To stay up to date with Polish Addict for upcoming collections, restocks, and other business news, you can follow on Instagram - Laura @polish_addict_34 and Crystal @crystalgf, Twitter (Laura) @polishaddict34, and check out Polish Addict on Facebook too!

This is In Bloom!

For In Bloom, I used 2 coats along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I love love love the shade of this pale teal along with the green glitters, plus the pops of purple, white, and pink!  There are squares, hexes, stars, bar (very slight curling, middle finger), and flowers!! Such a beautiful mix!

This is Anna's Garden.

I started with 2 coats of Cult Nails Feel Me Up.

I then applied 1 coat of Anna's Garden along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

What a gorgeous glitter bomb!  And with the yellow, it's a perfect pair in my opinion!  The base of Anna's Garden is slightly tinted a light orange jelly color.  I love all the flowers in this too!  There are multiple colors of them, as you can see on the nails, of pink, yellow, and red.  Also there are blue, green, white, yellow/gold, and purple glitters all mixed through.

The base doesn't look orange, but it was over paper that it tried the orange-ish color!  I was going to try this over white, which I think would be really pretty too!  There are a few gold bar glitters that I noticed were curling, but nothing that took away from the mani!  With all the glitter, it's not too noticeable.

Pretty & Polished - Sunday Best & Speckled and Freckled

Hi Everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend!!! :-)  Did anyone drink any green beer!?? lol

Today I have two gorgeous polishes sent to me to review from Pretty & Polished!!  They are perfect for Easter!!

You can purchase Pretty & Polished on Etsy or Pretty & Polished on My Shopify. You can also find out more information, upcoming collection information, along with swatches on Pretty & Polished - Facebook, on Twitter @prettynpolish, on Instagram @prettyandpolishd and at http://www.prettynpolish.com/. I highly recommend taking a look around, as Pretty & Polished always has awesome creations and an amazing formula!

Up first, we have Sunday Best over Cult Nails Tempest!

I used 2 coats of Cult Nails Tempest and 1 coat of Sunday Best.  The tiny glitters look white in the bottle, but for some reason over Tempest, it makes them have a slight light blue tint!  I loved the combo though!!

Described by Chels: Sunday Best is a lovely Springy mix in a clear as glass top coat. You will find different shapes, sizes and colors in this polish that are reminiscent of the Spring dresses you'll see when people are wearing their Easter Sunday Best!

I think the white really shows off the purple flowers!  And I love this mix of glitter!

Close up!

I also tried Sunday Best over Pretty & Polished Delightful Daisy!

I used three thin coats of Delightful Daisy and 1 coat of Sunday Best with Wicked Fast top coat.

The yellow makes this look really Springy!!

The glitters almost remind me as satin!  They are very pretty and I like the shimmer in Delightful Daisy with them!

Close up!

Next we have Speckled and Freckled!

For this mani, I used 2 coats along with Wicked Fast top coat.

Description by Chels:  Speckled and Freckled is an amazing mix of Spring colors released just in time for Easter! The idea behind Speckled and Freckled was to have something that will make your nails look like speckled malted milk eggs!

I do want to eat my fingers with this on! LOL but it is So pretty!  I love the bright white with the bold blue, purple, pink and green!  Here is a bottle shot!

Close up!

Frankenstine Polish - Dexter

Happy Valentine's Day to you, all my loves!!!  If I'm being cheesy, I think that all of you are my Valentine!  Or should I ask, Will you all be my Valentine?  :-)  It is part of the reason I wanted to have such a nice giveaway for you all!!  So enjoy the day my lovelies whether you have a significant other or not, you have me!! ;-)

Ok ok, onto today's mani!  I want to start out by saying, Christine, the owner of Frankenstine Polish, let me know she was sending this polish called Dexter, based on the show.  I honestly don't know a ton about the show, but have always heard such great things!  I might try to catch up, since my iPad has all of the seasons available OnDemand!  So cool, right?

So I love how it's a red and white polish (I'll explain later if you don't know the show), and decided since today is Valentine's Day, that I would do a light pink base.  I eyed Cult Nails Enticing, since it's such a pretty shade.  I thought it would be girly to have the light pink and red and white glitters.

So one perspective of this mani is to see it as a nice pairing with pink for this day of Love!

For this mani, I used 3 coats of Cult Nails Enticing, and 1 coat of Frankenstine Polish Dexter, topping with Wicked Fast by Cult Nails.

So then I started thinking to the Dexter cover I always see around....
Then Enticing started to remind me more of skin that pink, because I'm fair skinned (I didn't realize how tan he was, lol!).  So to me, this mani does look blood splatter on skin, which is what Christine was aiming for!  So cool right?  So now do you see this mani completely different after I said that?  Or am I the only one that doesn't watch Dexter? haha

So please don't tell me anything about it!  I want to be surprised! ;-)  I did the same with True Blood, where I knew basic things about the show, but not enough about the story line.  Mr. CC and I went through all the seasons at once, which was so fun!

Any way I look at this, I think the mani is a winner!  Dexter applied perfectly with the one coat.

You can check Frankenstine Polish on Facebook for swatches of other colors! Christine is also on Instagram as @christineambrosia and has swatches there as well!! Here is some info on her ordering!
