Jindie Nails - Candy Land

Hello Everyone!!! Time for another week to fly by so it can be the weekend again....haha :-)  I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  I did some swatching, saw some friends, and spent time with Mr. CC!  And I was able to read a book too.  Love not having to run around on the weekend!

Today I am so excited to show you Candy Land by Jindie Nails!!!  You can purchase Jindie Nails from Jen, the owner, on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/JindieNails.  She is unfortunately on vacation mode though, but you can click to be notified by e-mail when she returns.

Here is a bit of info on her shop:
To see a list of all shades & collections along with prices and blog links, please see the Google doc spreadsheet by copying the link here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtPgzlEeQgYNdHJsSlQzclUzX2ZoNWRWaEZBTHNObkE&usp=sharing.

Hopefully by the next restock, I will have my new website up and running and it will have full collections there for purchase. There will also be a 5 minute cart holding system to help with the cart jacking :)! The new website will be www.jindienails.com. There are no listings on the new website yet. When my new website opens, I will keep my Etsy store open as well, but offer collections along with individual polishes, and the website will offer a more relaxing shopping experience. Please use the Google doc link above for more info.

You can also purchase Jindie Nails through the following stockists websites: Llarowe,  Mei Mei's Signature's, and Ninja Polish.  For a more up to date status and monthly giveaways, make sure to like Jindie Nails Facebook page or follow on Instagram @jindienails (Instagram for PC: http://instagram.com/jindienails/).

There is another version of this that is called Candy Land ReMix, so I don't confuse anyone!  I absolutely love this version because the base is a nice bright white, and the neon glitter hexes shine through!  The other version is a little different but still beautiful!

For this mani, I used 2 coats, making sure to pause between coats as the white base is a little thick (which is great for opaque), but I didn't want to have any problems getting the neon glitters where I wanted.   I finished with Clearly on Top by KBShimmer.  I love how this turned out!!

A note from Jindie Nails: "Place your bottles upside down before using and it will help distribute the glitter very well. The dab and place method may have to be used for this polish. I didn't have much of a problem but I know some have. The neon glitters in this are transparent and super thin so they can be pesky but the pay off is WELL worth it!"

I held my bottle upsidedown a minute, and had absolutely no issues getting the glitter out!  I know some of the larger hexes can sink, but I was able to snag them to get them on the nail!  I did do a little placing to get everything spread out, but as said above, it's because the glitters are thin and like to stick together some.  I agree though, TOTALLY worth it!

^^^^^ This picture makes me drool! It looks like something yummy I want to eat! hehe

Bottle shot...look at all this awesome glitter!

So the sun was setting and I decided to get a few shots outside (yes! we had some sun today!!! Still cold though - blah).  I think it shows the glitters SO well!

Love the labels!

I really, really want to go black light bowling with these nails!! How awesome would they look!?

Close ups!

Hope you enjoyed my first try with Jindie Nails!  I'm a fan!  This is gorgeous.  In case you missed above, you can purchase Jindie Nails from Jen, the owner, on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/JindieNails, but she will be moving to www.jindienails.com soon!  You can also purchase Jindie Nails through the following stockists websites: Llarowe, Mei Mei's Signature's, and Ninja Polish.

Hope you have a great day and week!

Much Love,
Crystal

Black and White Glitter Comparison!

Nail-Venturous Voodoo Doll, Pretty & Polished Valentino,
Dollish Polish Putting on the Ritzzz, and Lynnderella Connect the Dots

Hello everyone!  I know I'm completely obsessed with black and white glitter, anyone else?  I actually don't even own all of the ones available, but thought I'd at least show you the four I have!!  I love that they're all different.  I know to some friends they might not understand the subtle differences, but to me, I can see the magic in each little bottle!!!! haha Do I sound crazy or what?  I think that's all the fumes to my head.  No, no, no, in all seriousness, these are some of my favorite polishes and I will go into more detail on each one below.

Nail Venturous Voodoo Doll can be purchased HERE at Ninja Polish.  Amy, the creator, will be opening an Etsy shop soon, which will have other colors available.  Voodoo Doll is currently out of stock, but sign up for their e-mail notification and you'll have a chance to scoop one up!  This is the darkest of them all.  And probably the most different.  It contains shiny silver and black small circular glitter, medium black and white hexagons, and more white hexagons that are a tad larger, and some large silver hexagons in a very dark grey jelly.  Some of the black hexagons are a bit reflective too, flashing a purple color.

Pretty & Polished Valentino can be purchased HERE on Etsy.  Chels was stocked up last night, but may be out now, as her polish sells quickly.  She will be stocking on Fridays, so be sure to check it out then to get a bottle of Valentino!  She has mini and full size bottles available.  Valentino has large, medium, and small white hexagons, large black hexagons, and them some amazing small black hexagons that flash almost a purple color.  There are also tiny black and white dots floating through and all of this is in a light grey jelly polish. You can see my full review of Valentino HERE.

Dollish Polish Putting on the Ritzzz just got here!  You can purchase this HERE on Etsy.  Dolly's shop is currently closed, but there is an option to receive an e-mail notifying when she will return.  Putting on the Ritzzz has a clear base with black and white hexagons, a few larger white hexagons, and small black dots throughout.  I can see a few smaller white dots too, but not as heavy as the black ones.

Lynnderella Connect the Dots is unfortunately the hardest to find.  I purchased mine from Leah Ann HERE.  Unfortunately, they aren't taking orders right now, as they are in the process of filling previous orders.  If you unfamiliar with Lynnderella polishes, they are in extremely high demand.  I was very lucky to order before everyone found Leah Ann selling it (thanks to Let Them Have Polish - HERE posting a picture a while ago on her Facebook page!!).  Since then, they have tried to find other ways to order fairly.  I wanted to warn you, it will take time if this is a polish you desire.  It is very pretty though.  It contains a subtle shimmer throughout with tiny black and white dots scattered through.  It also has black and white bar glitter, medium black and white hexagons, smaller black hexagons, and the occasional black square!

PHEW!  I know, lots of info there.  If you made it to this point, please go ahead and enjoy some pictures.  Each color is 1 coat over 2 coats of OPI My Chihuahua Bites!  I wanted a nice bright creme to make sure you could see the shimmer in Connect the Dots.  Enjoy the pictures!! ;-)

BONUS!!  As if this wasn't the longest post ever, lol, here's more!!  I had a couple requests, so I wanted to include these swatches of Hip Hop Hippity Hop by Dollish Polish.  Again, you can purchase these HERE.  This is a light pink with pastel glitters of pink, blue, and green.

I was very excited about this, but I have to warn you that the base is pretty thick.  I believe my glitter did sink, so my first try with this didn't look as nice because I was trying to place the glitter by grabbing lots of base coat.  I had 3 coats on, but felt it didn't look right and removed it.  I held the bottle upside and rolled it around to bring some glitter to the top.  This helped the polish to apply better.  I contacted Dolly last to see if this is the regular consistency or if I should try thinner.  I am worried of thinner because the glitter seems to be thick too.  It has sort of a bead quality to it, which is very cool when it peaks through the base.  I would hate for the polish to become too thin and have the glitter sink.  I honestly am not a frankenista!  haha  Anyway, I did use 1 coat of Seche Vite and 1 coat of Poshe to smooth it all out.  I think it looks pretty nice, it just was a tad tricky to apply.  If you have this, don't give up and try like I did to let the glitter shift to the top.  This way, you aren't picking up extra base when applying the glitter pieces.

I hope you enjoyed this very long post today :-) hehe if you'd like me to do a full mani using any of the black & white glitters, just put it in the comment section and I will make sure to do that soon!  I gave you the link to Valentino, but I don't think I've posted anything of Connect the Dots or the two new ones yet!

Have a great day!!  And thank you so much for reading ;-)

Much Love,
Crystal

Edited to Add: Dollish Polish posted the following on Facebook:

It has come to my attention that many of you are having difficulties with latest batch of Hip Hop Hippity Hop. When initially tested, both the formula and glitters both were fine, but it seems now the glitter is perhaps melting slightly, and as a result, making the formula itself unworkable, and the glitters have become curled or even turned into a bead-like ball. I would like to apologize to everyone for this unforeseen occurrence. I will not be re-stocking HHHH until this can be rectified. Due to the current base issue, I am not able to send everyone replacement bottles at this time, but if you wish to work something out in the form a a refund, or a replacement bottle in your next purchase, please feel free to contact me. Again, I apologize for this inconvenience.
