Membership Wednesday ~ July 2025 BOM Sunny Side Up ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a fun card using the spotlight technique featuring the awesome Sunny Side Up background stamp from the July 2025 Background of the Month membership.

Usually I color the spotlight when I do this technique, but this time I wanted to change things up and spotlight just the stamp in black and white.

I die cut the one flower using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} and then colored the background using a handful of Copic markers. I used B000, BV00, BV02, Y11, Y15.

I die cut the panel using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I popped up the spotlight circle using foam tape and then I trimmed the sentiment from the July 2025 Kit of the Month and adhered it across the card.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps! Have an INKredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Membership Wednesday ~ June 2025 BOM Check it Out ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a quick masculine card featuring an older stamp from Unity along with the awesome Check it Out background stamp from the June 2025 Background of the Month membership.

I stamped the awesome background directly onto the front of a white A2 top fold card base with Black Amalgam ink and distressed the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink. So super easy and it looks just like a chess board.

My oldest son likes to play chess so I thought I'd make him a chess themed birthday card. I remembered the chess pieces from an old KOM and after a bit of investigating I found it. It's in the December 2018 KOM called Best Friend Till the End. I stamped them with Black Amalgam ink and colored them with just a few Copic markers - E000, E21, E33.

I die cut the chess pieces using a square die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies} and distressed the edges very lightly using residual ink on my brush. I then adhered it to a black mat that I die cut with the next largest die. The fun sentiment is a new fave from the Ween Party Crew stamps that I heat embossed using Ultra Fine Embossing Powder Raven embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I trimmed up the sentiment and mat it with some leftover black card stock. Easy peasy and I sure hope he likes it.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership!

Membership Wednesday ~ April 2025 BOM Mod Bloom ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a card featuring this month's fab background stamp from the April 2025 Background of the Month membership from Unity called Mod Blooms.

I wanted to try a fun technique with Distress Crayons where I colored the rubber stamp, spritzed the stamp with a bit of water and then stamped the image. It worked pretty well. I went back in with the crayons to add a bit of detail.

I used Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Twisted Citron Distress Crayons. And then I used a Tumbled Glass Distress Crayon to watercolor around the flower.

I die cut the flower using a stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I die cut a piece of white card stock using the largest die from the Postage Stamp {nesting dies}. And then I adhered all of my layers to a white A2 top fold card base.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership! So many fun ideas for this stamp! Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps! Have an INKredible day!

Fun Bunny Background ~ Happy Easter ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm excited to share a super sweet and fun Easter card with you all!

I created a fun partial background using the adorable bunny peep from the Happy Easter stamp set. The adorable girl is also from the same stamp set. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the Happy Easter stamp set on the website. But if you'd like to add it to your collection, you can check out the Farmers Market and submit a request via email... maybe it'll be available for the next Farmers Market.

I stamped the girl and bunnies with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them up with Copic Markers. I also spattered the partial background with Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Girl Skin: E000, E00, E51, R00, R20
Girl Hair: Y21, E43, E44
Dress: V000, V12
Green Bunnies: YG11, YG23
Yellow Bunnies: Y11, Y15
Pink Bunnies: RV10, RV02
Purple Bunnies: V000, V12
Orange Bunnies: YR21, YR15
Blue Bunnies: B0000, B00
Ground: C00, C2

I added a 1/8" strip of black card stock to break up the partial background. And I mat the cute focal image with a black circle mat.

You can check out my process video here... Fun Bunny Background | Happy Easter | The Greeting Farm.

Anyone else working on Easter cards for their stash? I just adore how this one turned out! I hope I've inspired you to get inky.

Membership Wednesday ~ February 2025 BOM Petal Fusion ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a pretty card featuring the gorgeous February 2025 Background of the Month membership from Unity called Petal Fusion.

I colored up all the pretty flowers in this fantastic background stamp using my Copic markers. Definitely had Spring on my mind!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
White Flowers: C00, C2
Pink Flower: R00, R21, R43
Blue Flower: B000, B00, B02
Yellow Flowers: Y11, Y15
Purple Flowers: V000, V12
Orange Flowers: YR000, YR21, YR15
Flower Centers: Y11, Y15, Y17

I wanted to add some dimension to the card so I die cut the panel with the three big scallop dies from the BIG Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}.

I adhered the center panel directly to the white A2 top fold card base. I then popped up the middle panel using foam tape. And I adhered the outer panel directly to the card base. I love the fun dimension it gives to the card.

You can see more of the dimension in this photo. To finish off the card I fussy cut the sentiment from the February 2025 Kit of the Month called The Sweetest Spring.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership! Love it!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps! Have an inkredible day!

Membership Wednesday ~ Dec. 2024 and Jan. 2025 Background of the Month ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a trio of cards featuring not one, but TWO fabulous Background of the Month stamps from Unity. I used the January 2025 Background of the Month and the December 2024 Background of the Month.

I seriously love the Faded Roses background stamp from last month's BOM. They are stunning! I was curious to see how they would look with this month's Damask Grunge background stamp. I love the texture this month's BOM gives to the roses!

I stamped the Damask Grunge with Lost Shadow Distress Ink on Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink. I stamped the Faded Roses with Mermaid Lagoon and Villainous Potion Distress Inks. I also stamped the sentiment for this one using the same two inks.

I was also curious to see how these colors would look on Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. I love it! All the same colors for this one. The only difference is the sentiment is heat embossed with white pigment ink and white embossing powder on kraft card stock. The sentiment is from the Extended Celebration {Front & Center Stamps}.

I also wanted to see how Festive Berries Distress Ink would look with the Lost Shadow Distress Ink on Kraft card stock. It was a fun inky time of experimenting!! LOL! And I got three cards out of it. All of the background panels were die cut using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}.

Here's a look at the Faded Roses background stamp.

And a look at this month's Background of the Month membership! Love them both!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!

Anya In New York ~ Preview Day 1 ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's the first day of previews at The Greeting Farm! Woohoo! So exciting!

I created a fun background using stamps from the Anya in New York stamp set. I love how Anya pops on the black and white background. I die cut the background with an x stitched rectangle die.

I stamped sweet Anya with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her up with Copic Markers. I fussy cut her and colored the edge of the fussy cutting with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. And then I popped her up on the card with foam tape. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04, R00, R20
Hair: YR23, YR27, R59
Shirt: C00, C1, R20, R14, R27
Skirt: B95, B97, B99
Shoes: R20, R14, R27
Bag: BG10, BG10, BG15
Cup: C00, C1, YG11, G24, G46

I stamped the skyscrapers, fussy cut them leaving a bit of a white border and adhered it to the black sentiment strip creating a bit of a scene.

The sentiment is heat embossed with white pigment ink and white embossing powder. I melted the powder with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. Love how this turned out! Release goes live in the store on the 15th at 12am EST.

Membership Wednesday ~ December 2024 WK Joyous Village ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet holiday card featuring the adorable little houses and church stamps from the December 2024 Whit Kit membership from Unity called Joyous Village.

These adorable little houses and church are just TOO cute! I stamped them with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and colored them very simply with Copic markers. I fussy cut the buildings on the line and cut the trees and bushes leaving a bit of a white border around them.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
House Top Right: E0000, E31
Church Mid Left: C00, C1
House Bottom Right: E40, E31

I ink smooshed a fun background over the A Little Christmas Carol Background stamp that I had stamped on Canson XL watercolor paper with Black Amalgam ink and dry set with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I ink smooshed with Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean Distress Inks.

I die cut the ink smooshed background using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I also die cut a piece of white card stock. I tore the white layer in half and then stacked those pieces on the bottom to create my snowy hills. All the layers are adhered to a Kraft A2 top fold card base.

Here's a quick look at this month's Whit Kit membership! Isn't is glorious!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!
Hope you have an inkcredible day!

Baby Wipe Technique ~ Technique Tuesday ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another Technique Tuesday! On the 2nd Tuesday of each month I'll be sharing a bit of inspiration and a video featuring a fun technique. I hope that you'll be inspired to get inky and play along with some of the techniques that I share.

Today's technique is one that I love to play with when I'm using large block stamps without much detail on them... the Baby Wipe Technique! This is an oldie but a goodie, for sure!

First up, I used the gorgeous Painted Poinsettias for two no layer cards. These were so fun to make and super easy!

I opened up the card base and masked off the back of the card using a post it note and Pixie Tape. Added a bunch of drops of reinker from a few fun dye ink colors in my stash to a clean baby wipe. Basically, this turned the baby wipe into my ink pad. I then stamped the larger poinsettia all over the background filling up as much of the white space as I could.

Once I was happy with that I stamped the smaller poinsettia using the medium color from my dye inks. I just adore pink on holiday cards!

My second card using the very same technique and steps. The only difference is I moved the sentiment for this one. I do love how the black sentiment pops on the card.

Once I had the backgrounds done, I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment using Black Amalgam ink.

Experimented a bit with my third card and used the lightest pink color for my smaller poinsettia on a couple of the flowers. And I just didn't like it as much. I set it aside for awhile but decided to add some gold silk splatter and I think it makes the card so much better.

I dried the background and then stamped the sentiment using Black Amalgam ink again.

And my last card... I wanted to show how you could step up the card a bit if you're wanting more layers. I used Distress Watercolor Paper for this one which gives the card a lot of texture. I do think the Baby Wipe Technique worked well with the watercolor paper.

Die cut the background using the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. Wrapped it a few times with some Black May Arts Burlap String. I then adhered it to a black card base.

You can check out my process video here for creating the backgrounds... Baby Wipe Technique | Technique Tuesday | Unity Stamp Co.

Such a fun and simple technique with so many possibilities depending on what colors you use and the mix of stamps! If you give this fun technique a try, I'd love to see what you create so please share your cards in the Unity Show & Tell group and tag me. Have an ink-tastic day!

Emboss Resist with ZIGs Watercolor Wash ~ Technique Tuesday ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another Technique Tuesday! On the 2nd Tuesday of each month I'll be sharing a bit of inspiration and a video featuring a fun technique. I hope that you'll be inspired to get inky and play along with some of the techniques that I share.

Today's technique is a fun twist on a technique I shared last month using ZIGs for a quick watercolor wash background... the twist? Throwing some Emboss Resist in there!

First up, I used the gorgeous flowers from the November 2021 Kit of the Month called Kinda Sorta Love Ya for a pretty Fall card. The flowers were stamped with white pigment ink and I heat embossed white embossing powder that I had applied to the wet ink. This shiny raised design is what resists the watercolor wash from the ZIGs.

I used Yellow, Bright Yellow, Orange, Brown and Mid Brown ZIGs for the background. Also used those colors to darken the flowers... adding Light Green and Olive Green for the leaves and stems. The watercolor washed background was die cut with the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Die Set. I then adhered it to an Early Espresso card front and adhered the entire panel to a white A2 card base.

The sentiment is from the Cut Apart Sentiment Strips... these strips come in handy when you need a quick sentiment for a card!

Such a fun card to make!

Next up is a rainbow-filled birthday card featuring the awesome Rainbow Birthday stamps... illustrated by Graciellie Design and available in red rubber at Unity! So happy to have this one in my collection! I stamped the candles on watercolor paper, also heat embossing them.

For this background I used Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple ZIGs. Die cut the watercolor washed panel using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles Nesting Dies. Adhered the panel to a white A2 top fold card base.

I also heat embossed and watercolored the cake and an extra candle... doesn't it look yummy?! Used the same ZIGs that I used for the background. Added a touch of Light Grey for some shadow on the white icing. I also used the same rainbow ZIGs to watercolor stamp the sentiment.

Fussy cut the cake and candle and adhered them together. I added a bunch of foam tape to the back of both and popped it up on the card. Trimmed the sentiment and popped it up on the card with foam tape, as well.

You can check out my process video here for creating the backgrounds... Emboss Resist with ZIGs Watercolor Wash | Technique Tuesday | Unity Stamp Co.

Such a fun and simple technique with so many possibilities depending on what colors you use and the mix of stamps! If you give this fun technique a try, I'd love to see what you create so please share your cards in the Unity Show & Tell group and tag me. Have an ink-tastic day!
