Oh Hey, Hi, Hello ~ A Round of Hellos ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I love playing with circles!! The new A Round of Hellos from Unity is my new favorite kit of stamps!

This card so so super fast to make. I stamped each of the larger patterned circles and the sentiment on my card front in black ink.

And then I stamped the solid circles with Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet and Festive Berries Distress Ink.

I die cut the card front using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting dies. I adhered the panel to a black A2 top fold card base. And then I finished it off with a few black enamel dots from my stash. Love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Unity Advent Calendar 2024 Day 16 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 16 of the 2024 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I have an any occasion card for today's beautiful stamp.

Love this stamp?! It looks so pretty in any color. I stamped the butterfly with Mustard Seed, Candied Apple, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 16 stamp and my process in making this card here... Unity Advent Calendar 2024 Day 16 | Unity Stamp Co.

Inspiration for my card came from the {BYSHC} Sketch 18! Another fun sketch!

Now that I'm looking at this, I probably could have used a piece of pattern paper instead of a panel of white card stock to place the butterflies on. And then stamped the sentiment on a scrap and adhere it over the pattern paper. What do you think? I might do that if I replicate this card.

I paired up the butterflies with the Kindness is Magic {paper pack}. I think it's a fun pairing of stamp and papers. I love the colors in these papers! The fun sentiment is from the Well, Hello {itty bitty} stamp.

I'll be back tomorrow for Day 17 of the 2024 Advent Calendar from Unity!
Have an inkredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

September Scraps Cards in October ~ Purr-Fect Time Kitty with a Planner Gal ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing the last two cards I created using the leftover scraps I opened up last month. I've been working on these for awhile. I'm so glad I finally got them finished up.

Here's a look at the cards together. I love how the kitty card turned out! If I could change one thing, I would distress the edges of the girl. Just add a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges so it isn't so white on all the Kraft.

I adhered the strips of pattern paper to the base leaving a nice edge around the card base. And then I adhered the pink layer over top. I think it's a fun design. I found the gal from Planner Gal: Brave & Beautiful already stamped on my pile of images. I thought she would look nice with these papers. I die cut her using a die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Die Set. Colored her up with my Copic markers and then popped her up on the card with foam tape.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E43, E44, E47
Hat: E21, E23, E25, R81, R83, R20, R14, YR27
Blouse: R81, R83, YG61, YG63
Pants:B91, B97

I thought it would be fun to use one of my many sentiment dies from Unity. I die cut a scrap piece of white card stock with the hello die from Chic Script Salutations {die set}. It was way too white for the card so I decided to color it with Copics. I used R81, R83, R20, and R14. I die cut the hello outline from Kraft card stock.

I really got stuck on this card! This card may be why it's taken me so long to finish up these paper scraps. I had the orange pattern paper rectangles adhered together and sitting on a Kraft card base... that's as far as I got. It just sat on my desk taunting me. Until I remembered the little kitty from the {Clearly Unity} Purr-Fect Time stamp set. {This stamp set is also available in red rubber... Purr-Fect Time.} I inked him up and colored him with the following Copic markers: C00, C2, C4, C5, YR21, and YR15 (orange background around the whiskers).

I fussy cut the kitty and adhered him to the pattern paper. The Kraft card base was too plain so I ran a piece of Kraft card stock through my Big Shot with a random embossing folder. I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5-1/4" and adhered it to the A2 top fold card base. I blended a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the sentiment to soften the white and then I popped it up and the kitty/pattern paper focal piece up using foam tape. So happy to finally be done with these papers! I'll be back next week with one last card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 26. Have a wonderfully inky week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Dreamin' Daze Watercolor ~ February Challenge ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing my last card for the Unity February Sketch Challenge that I'm hosting in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group. I have had the gorgeous black eyed susans from the Dreamin' Daze stamps on my desk just screaming to get inky. So happy to finally play with these flowers. I did a bit of watercoloring which I'm trying to do more often.

As I often do with a sketch, I started by picking my papers. I can't believe that I've gone this long without cutting into the gorgeous Fields of Summer {paper pack}. Have you seen these gorgeous papers? They are stunning!! Beautiful papers filled with sunflowers and lovely colors... I knew I had to use them but I chose papers that didn't have sunflowers since I was playing with a different kind of flower.

As I mentioned above, I've been trying to play a bit more with my ZIGs and do some watercoloring. Trying to at least do some watercoloring each month. So far so good! I used just a handful to color up these flowers: yellow, bright yellow, blue gray, blue, light gray, and black.

I used a slimline die to die cut the flowers. So perfect for this sketch! The main floral panel is popped up on the card with foam tape {which actually caused some havoc... you can see it in the video below}. I wrapped the main floral panel with a bit of {Ivory} May Arts Burlap string and tied a pretty bow. The card was finished with a few enamel dots.

Here's another look at the sketch! Please know that the sketch is meant to inspire and not require. Feel free to alter it to work for your creation and most importantly have some inky fun! I can't wait to see what you create! Be sure to share your cards in the Unity Show & Tell group and also add them to the sketch challenge album in the group to be entered for a prize!! But don't wait too long to play because this challenge ends on Tuesday, February 28th.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

Zinnia CAS Card ~ February Challenge ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing more inspiration for the Unity February Sketch Challenge that I'm hosting in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group. I was inspired by one of the entries into the challenge to play with more of a CAS design. Definitely a fun challenge for this sketch and I like how my card turned out.

I just had to play with the beautiful Zinnia stamp again! Love these beautiful flowers! I considered leaving all the flowers white and I really think it would look lovely, but I decided to add a pop of color. Love me some turquoise!!

I also colored up my little banners ombre style with the same markers. So fun!
Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Zinnia ~ BG10, BG13, BG18, BG78, Y000, Y11, Y15, Y35
Turquoise Banner ~ BG10, BG13, BG18, BG78
Yellow Banner ~ Y000, Y11, Y15, Y35

I added a couple white enamel dots to my banners. And then to finish off the card I stamped my sentiment from the July 2022 Sentiment Kit called So Kind, So Caring, So You. I actually goofed up my sentiment on the card and had to stamp it again. Fussy cut and then covered up my mistake. Phew! Luckily that was an easy fix.

You can check out my process video here... Zinnia CAS Card | February Sketch Challenge |

Scrapping for Less ~ Pink & Main ~ Pretty Jars

Hello crafty peeps!
Today, I'm sharing a lovely card using the Pretty Jars stamp and die bundle set by Pink & Main. Oh my goodness... I absolutely love this bundle!! The stamps are so beautiful and the dies make cutting out this intricate floral stamp super easy peasy!!

I still had the beautiful Echo Park Spring Fling papers on my desk so I decided to use them again for this card. I cut strips of a few different papers to create the pattern underneath the focal image. The background greenish/blue paper is also from the paper pad.

I stamped the flowers twice because I wanted to fussy cut the flowers to pop them up on the focal image for a bit more dimension. Working with colors that coordinated with the papers, I colored both sets of the flowers. I used the following Copic markers ~ RV00, RV21, Y13, Y35, YG11, YG23.
I then die cut the flowers and fussy cut the one set... cutting it on the black line. I colored the outer edge of the fussy cut flowers with a Memento tuxedo black marker to clean up the edges and then I popped them up on the other flowers.

I then adhered the flowers to a white die cut stitched oval and popped the oval piece up on the card. I knew I wanted to use the 'sweet friend' sentiment from the set but I wanted to add a little somethin' somethin' so I pulled out the 'hello' die from Pink & Main that was included in a past card kit and die cut three times out of white card stock. I colored one of the die cut hellos with Copic markers in an ombre style and then adhered all the die cut layers. I stamped the 'sweet friends' sentiment on white card stock and then die cut it with a banner die and layered it on a strip of pink paper from the Spring Fling paper pad that I also die cut with the same banner die.

In retrospect, I kinda wish I had stamped the 'sweet friend' sentiment in a dark pink... but at the time, I was packing my studio and my supplies were limited. I am still very happy with how this card turned out! The design is definitely one that would work to use up some of those scraps of patterned paper that we all have laying around!!

You can find the Pretty Jars stamp & die bundle in the shop!

Thank you friends for checking out my blog post!
See ya next time.

Scrapping for Less ~ Flavor of the Month ~ Hello

Hello again! I'm here with another look at the August Flavor of the Month card kit. I have a few cards to share with you and a fun tag!

I thought that it would be fun to make a couple shaker cards using the Pink & Main Hello dies from the Banana Split subscription. I was able to use just two pieces of The Story of Us paper from the fourth collection by alternating the papers for each card. I finished up the package of Kennedy Grace sequins and my last flower for this collection. I used a couple of scrap pieces of acetate and some other shaker elements in my stash to complete the card. I think they turned out pretty cute!

The shaker cards left me with these outlined 'hello' cuts, so naturally I just had to make a card (or two) using them, as well. Can I share a secret with you? Do you see the back layer of my cards? The stripes on one and the floral on the other. Those aren't full card front sheets. I cut out the middle of those sheets for another use. Just another way to stretch out every piece of paper in your stash.
I wanted to keep these cards pretty simple so I added a few strips of washi tape and popped up the hello die cuts and adhered that onto a white card base (with our outline of patterned paper ;) and there you have two more cards.

The Banana Split subscription also includes a couple fun natural canvas tags. I just had to pull out some stencils and my distress spray stains and get inky! Seriously, I had blue fingers all day after spraying the Mermaid Lagoon stain! Haha! I don't mind though. Anywho, once I had the tag sprayed using a few stencils, I thought... why not make a stencil using the Pink & Main Hello die in the kit?! So I did, but I only made a partial stencil... I only cut out the letter 'h'. I hot glued the flowers that I had set aside for this tag and found some fun buttons in my stash. I cut a hole in the top of the tag and secured the jumbo eyelet using my good ole' crop-a-dile. I found some ribbon and twill in my stash that I tied off with some twine and the last little touch came from a gift I received from my husband this week that included this sweet little fresh pearl on the gift packaging. I just love how this came together!! Oh, and I used some clear Wink of Stella on the letter 'h'... it's so shimmery and fun!

Have you signed up yet for the next Flavor of the Month card kit?!
Go check out the details ---> here.

Thanks for stopping by!

See ya next time.
