Advent Calendar 2025 Day 16 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 16 of the 2025 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I have a sweet friendship card to share today featuring today's beautiful stamp along with Day 8 and Day 15.

Love this sweet fairy stamp! And she looks so nice accompanied by the flower stamps from Day 8 and Day 15.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 16 stamp and my process in making this card here... Unity Advent Calendar 2025 Day 16 | Unity Stamp Co.

Inspiration for my card came from the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 38! This fun sketch challenge is going on right now and there's still plenty of time to play along! I hope you'll join us in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group and play along with the challenge!

I die cut the fairy using a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. The flowers were also stamped on a die cut using the same die.

Copic Markers: Skin: E00, E11 Wings / Dress / Blue Flower: B000, B02, B97 Yellow Flower: Y11, Y35 Red Flowers: R20, R14 Stems / Leaves / Grass: YG11, YG03 Sky: B000

I paired up the pretty fairy and flowers with the Kindness is Magic {paper pack}. I think it's a fun pairing of stamp and papers. I love the colors in these papers! The fun sentiment is from the Being Yourself stamp {unfortunately, it looks like this one is retired}.

I'll be back tomorrow for Day 17 of the 2025 Advent Calendar from Unity!
Have an inkredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Be As Kind To Yourself ~ Sparkle & Shine Fairy ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Have you seen the new release over at Unity?! So many amazing stamps and goodies!! I fell in love with the Sparkle & Shine Fairy stamps. She's absolutely gorgeous!!

I just had to ink her up and color her with my Copic markers.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
Hair: E21, E23, E25
Crown: V12, V15, Y11, Y15, YG11, G94
Wings: V000, V12, V15, BG10, BG01, BG13
Dress: BG000, BG10, BG01, BG13
Mushroom: C0, C2, W00, W1, R00, R20, R14, R27
Stems / Leaves / Grass: YG11, G94
Wildflowers: V12, V15, Y11, Y15

I die cut the beautiful fairy using a die from the Scallops & Banners {nesting dies} and then I got stuck. I set her aside and started looking through my stash of scraps. I found a fun background that I had made awhile ago but the colors weren't right so I redid it with colors that complimented the fairy.

I stamped the Rustic Flutter background using Evergreen Bough and Wilted Violet Distress Inks. And then I stamped over the background with the Worn Grid background using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I just noticed that Worn Grid is no longer available at Unity. I really need to go through my stamps and mark the retired stamps. Anywho, a wonderful alternative is the Tattered Grid Background

I die cut the background using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I adhered the panel to a white A2 top fold card base and then die cut the top of the banner using the same rectangle die. I then added a few raindrop embellies. Trimmed up the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape. I just love how this turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Unity Advent Calendar 2024 Day 20 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 20 of the 2024 Advent Calendar from Unity!! Just 4 day left! I hope you've been enjoying your Advent Calendar and playing along as I share inspiration.

Today's stamp is a gorgeous fairy. I stamped her with Speckled Egg Distress Ink. I then die cut her with a circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 20 stamp and my process in making this card here... Unity Advent Calendar 2024 Day 20 | Unity Stamp Co.

Inspiration for my card came from the {BYSHC} Sketch 27! Such fun layers with this sketch!

Loving the Spring vibe with these pretty papers! I used the measurements from the sketch for this one. Easy Peasy!

I paired up the pretty flower with the Simple Spring {paper pack}. The fun birthday sentiment is from the Fairyland Gateway stamps.

I'll be back tomorrow for Day 21 of the 2024 Advent Calendar from Unity!
Have an inktastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 22 ~ Layla with Lettered ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet thank you card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 22. I recently hurt my back and finally gave in and went to the chiropractor. Boy, am I ever glad that I did! My back is finally feeling better. Not 100% just yet, but improving every day. I wanted to make a thank you card for my sweet chiropractor. She has the cutest little girl so I colored the adorable Layla stamp from The Greeting Farm to look a bit like her.

I'm still working to finish off the leftover papers I found in my stash in April. I am anxious to get these papers done so I can move on to another leftover pack. This time I was able to use 3 leftover pieces of pattern paper. I just adhered the pieces to my 4 x 5-1/4" panel of Stampers Select White Card Stock from Papertrey Ink. And then adhered the panel to a white A2 top fold card base.

I stamped the sweet Layla fairy using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto two separate scraps of white card stock. I colored up the cute fairy with my Copic markers. I also stamped the sentiment from the Lettered stamp set from The Greeting Farm. I die cut the sentiment using the smallest circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity. Fussy cut the fairy on the line and then colored the edges of my cutting using a Memento Tuxedo Black marker making the cutting look all nice and neat.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair: Y21, YR23, YR14
Eyes: E57, white gel pen
Wings: B0000, B000, B00
Flower: RV0000, RV10, RV11, RV14, YG11, YG23
Top / Skirt: RV0000, RV10, RV11, RV14

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 22 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I didn't add measurements for the pattern paper scraps as I'm sure we all have different sized scraps in our stash. I ended up covering the bottom of the wavy striped and polka dot papers with the bottom strip of striped pattern paper. I felt it was more balanced on the card.

I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and the fairy and popped them both up on the card. I'm really enjoying this sketch! I hope you all have fun with it, too. Have an ink-tastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Membership Wednesday ~ May 2024 KOM Spring & Simply Joys ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet fairy card featuring the cutest stamp from the May 2024 Kit of the Month membership from Unity. How perfect is that sentiment?! 'A little magic can take you a long way'... I love it!

I stamped the fairy and sentiment on a large scrap of Stampers Select White Card Stock from Papertrey Ink using Black Amalgam Ink from Gina K. Designs. I colored up the fairy using my Copic markers.
Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E21, E23, E29
Dress: YR21, YR15, YR68
Wings: BG0000, BG11
Flowers: Y11, Y15, YR15, R05, R17
Stems / Leaves: YG63

Inspiration for my card today comes from the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 21. I saw a couple fabulous card by Amy Morris in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group yesterday and thought these papers would look amazing with this sweet fairy. What do you think?

I paired up the pretty fairy with the absolutely gorgeous Bohemian Dream {paper pack}. I cut a 4 x 5-1/4" piece of pattern paper and adhered a few scraps of pattern paper from the pack to the side. Almost like steps but upside down. And then I adhered the panel to a Kraft A2 top fold card base.

I die cut the fairy using a die from the Scallops & Arches {nesting dies} and then I die cut the sentiment using a die from the Scallops & Banners {nesting dies}. I distressed the edges of each using a blending brush but I didn't add any ink. I wanted the colors to coordinate with the pattern papers. I adhered the die cuts together and then added foam tape to the back and popped them up on the card. and then I finished off the card with a few orange enamel dots. These were out of their package in my stash so I'm not sure where they are from.

And here's a look at the awesome Kit of the Month membership! Such an amazing mix of stamps this month! Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!
Have an ink-tastic day!

Membership Wednesday ~ February 2024 KOM Grace and More Grace ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a lovely monochromatic card featuring the fabulous February 2024 Kit of the Month membership from Unity. I've just been itching to ink up this beautiful fairy! Love her!

I stamped the beautiful fairy with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs. I knew I wanted to work with purple for this one so I went looking through my papers and found the Watercolor Stripes {paper pack}. I die cut the fairy panel using a die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Die Set.

I copic colored the cute fairy with just a handful of Copic markers: E000, E00, V000, V12, V15. I stamped the fairy again on a post it note and fussy cut around her and the circle in the background. I placed my mask over the panel and ink blended with Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide inks. Adhered the fairy panel to the pattern paper and wrapped it with a piece of iridescent ribbon. I tied a pretty bow and secured it with a glue dot.

I wanted to use one of the many cut apart sentiments I have in my stash so I looked through them to find one that worked nicely with the fairy. Adhered it to the card front and trimmed off the edges. I then adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base using liquid glue.

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership! So amazing!

Well, that's it for me today! Hope you have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cute Scene Card ~ Anya Reboot with Fairyland~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am super excited and honored to be guest designing for The Greeting Farm for the month of November!! I have a few fun projects to share with you all this month... starting with an adorable scene card featuring the super cute fairy Anya from the big Anya Reboot stamps!

I created a fun scene for fairy Anya by combining and resizing a few different digi stamps from the Fairyland Digi Set into a Word Document. I included the snail on the document but kept him separate so I could pop him up on the card.

I stamped the sweet fairy Anya with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her up with Copic Markers. I also colored up my scene and the snail. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: YR31, E43, E44
Dress: RV000, RV10, RV21, YG11, G14, G07
Wings: B0000, B00, B02, V000, V12, V15
Mushrooms: W00, W0, W1, W3
Red Mushroom {behind snail}: R20, R14, R46, W0, W1, W3
House: E53, E55, E57, E59, B0000, B000, B00, B02, B04, N0, N1, N3, N5, Y06, Y15
Snail: YG11, YG03, YG63, V000, V12, V15, W0, W1, W3
Grass: YG11, YG03, YG63
Sky: B0000, B000, B00

I trimmed up my panel just slightly smaller than the edging on my die cut panel. Adhered the pieces together and mat them with a purple card front that was adhered to a white card base. I fussy cut the snail and Anya on the line and the colored the edges with a black marker. A nice trick for making fussy cut images look nice and neat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lettered stamp set. Trimmed it up and cut a fishtail end. I popped up the snail, Anya, and the sentiment using foam tape. Love the dimension it gives to the card and the whole scene. I hope I've inspired you to get inky and mix up your stamps and digi stamps!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Scrapping for Less ~ Christmas Inspiration and a Farewell

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today is my final blog post for Scrapping for Less. I have a quick card to share that I created using the October 2020 FOTM and then I'd like to go down memory lane a little bit with you. This is kind of a long post, but it's mostly pictures... with a little chatter. I hope you'll stick around until the end.

I just love the Merry Christmas sentiment in the Christmas Elements stencil that was included in the Banana Split subscription of the October 2020 FOTM card kit. I actually used it and had planned on sharing an extra card for the hop and reveal for the October kit but I didn't have enough time. So I set it aside for another day. I have a quick video sharing my process for this card.
You can check that out... here.

I really love how this turned out! I hope you like it too!

Now for some reminiscing...

Way back in August of 2017 Teresa and Kim asked me to guest design for Scrapping for Less. This is my second card as a guest designer. Why didn't I share my first card? Well... I like this one more. lol
After a short guest design gig, Teresa and Kim asked me to join the design team and I was so elated!!
I'm very grateful for the opportunity that Teresa and Kim gave me... it was literally the beginning of a crazy crafty journey that has led me to design for other companies and start my YouTube channel AND to illustrate some of my very own physical and digital stamps.
So I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Teresa and Kim!!

Now I'm going to share some of my favorite cards over the 3-1/2 years that I've designed for SFL and throw in some of my favorite cards created with my own stamps that I designed for SFL too.

One of my absolute favorite cards... a slimline before the latest slimline trend! I colored and paper pieced this sweet scene way back in November 2018. You can check out the original post here... Have a Magical Christmas.

Another favorite... the black base and pop of Fall colors really make this card so beautiful. You can check out the original post here... Fall Breeze card.

Now this card has a special place in my heart as the first ever stamp that I designed for Scrapping for Less. I really enjoyed the process going back and forth with Teresa and Kim designing this beautiful stamp. You can check out the original post here... Nordic Winter card.

I was so honored when Teresa asked me to design the first ever stamp sets to be released outside of the card kits. I had so much fun designing the adorable Winter Fairies and the coordinating Fairy House. So much fun to illustrate and then to see them as physical stamps... awesome! There's still a few sets available in the shop if you'd like to add these to your collection {click the links above}!!

What little girl doesn't dream of being Cinderella?! I had a blast drawing these glass slippers. You can check out the original post here... It's All About the Girls. And there's still some of these sweet Glass Slippers in the shop!

Often times, Teresa would just give me a general idea for the stamp and let me run with it. I sure love the way this one turned out... I drew it with my daughter in mind. You can check out the original post here... Layered Stencils for CAS Cards. This cutie is still available in the shop... Live Your Best Life.

Another fun one that turned out really cute. Here's the original post... City Streets and Country Roads. There's only a couple of these left in the shop... Country Roads.

I had to giggle a little when Teresa shared her idea for this stamp. A chicken blowing bubble gum...?! Haha!! Definitely a fun request and one that I enjoyed drawing. Here's the original post for this one... Bubble Galore. You can add this hilarious stamp to your collection here... Blowing Bubbles.

And the last stamp that I designed for Scrapping for Less... I adore snowmen so this one I will cherish forever! Here's the original post for this one... Christmas is Covered.

Well... that was a little long, but I hope you enjoyed reminiscing with me. I do have one last card to share and this one is my absolute favorite card of all time while creating for Scrapping for Less...

I love love love this card! The design is so pretty. I'm so happy with the coloring on the die cut pieces. And that sentiment speaks to my soul! You can check out the original post here... City Streets and Country Roads Sneak Peek. This die is actually still in the shop!! Get it here... Flowery Camera die!!

Okay. Well, I've delayed the end here long enough.

Thank you SO MUCH for following my crafty journey while with Scrapping for Less!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,

Crystal
