Hello, From the Flock ~ Flock Talk ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet mini slimline card for Unity's July release. How freaking cute are these birds from the Flock Talk stamps!? I love them! So fun to color! On a completely different note... have you heard the amazing news that Unity is now offering select stamp sets in their amazing red rubber AND clear photopolymer?!?! Woohoo! I am so excited for this awesome change! I absolutely love Unity's red rubber stamps, but clear stamps are so easy to store since they are less bulky and they're easier to line up for stamping with clear blocks and in a stamp platform. So exciting!!

I paired up Flock Talk with the fun Cloud Hopper Chronicles {paper pack}. This mini slimline measures 6-1/2 x 7" and is scored at 3-1/2". Because it's 6-1/2" long I cut my 6 x 3-1/2" striped pattern paper in half at 3 x 3-1/2" and adhered it on either side of the white card base. You can barely notice the pattern paper missing in the middle of the card.

I stamped the adorable birds and sentiment from Flock Talk using Black Amalgam Ink from Gina K. Designs. I then colored them up with my Copic markers. I added a few clouds using the Cloud & Wave Stencil with some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Left Bird: YR21, YR15, YR16, C00, C1, C3, BV0000, BV20, BV11, BV34, Y11, Y15, B000, B00
Middle Bird: YR21, YR15, YR16, C00, C1, C3, B000, B00, B02, Y11, Y15, Colorless Blender
Right Bird: YR21, YR15, YR16, BV0000, BV20, BV11, Y11, Y15, RV10, RV11, B000, B00
Flowers: Y11, Y15
Grass / Stems: YG11, YG23

I die cut the panel using the Wonky Stitched Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs. Added foam tape to the back of the panel and popped it up on the card. And then finished off the card with a few enamel dots. So much fun to make! I hope you have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Inky Paws Challenge #226 ~ Summer Theme Challenge Reminder

Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #226 - Summer Theme Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, July 5th to get your entries in for this fun challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

I am loving this theme! I prefer Fall and Winter myself, but I do love beach stamps! And beach stamps are perfect for Summer!

I stamped the cute car from the Beach Bound Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. And then I had a blast coloring it up with Copic markers. I went with a classic red. I tried to coordinate it with the red in the papers. I think it works pretty well! Once I was happy with my coloring I die cut the car using the coordinating Beach Bound Die Set.

Here's the list of the Copic markers I used:
Car: R20, R14, R37
Windows: B0000, B000, B00
Bumpers / Door Handle / Roof Rack: N0, N1
Tires: N1, N2, N4, N6
Surfboard: YG11, YG23

I paired up the Beach Bound car with the awesome Summertime 6x6 Paper Pad. I had so much fun mixing and matching the papers that I die cut using the die from the A2 Card Layout Die Set. I also die cut the frame from Stampers Select White Card Stock from Papertrey Ink. That left me with extra white pieces so I made a little sandy hill for the car using the center white piece. I die cut it using the Land Borders Die Set and then I blended a bit of brown ink on the top without actually adding any ink to my blending brush because I didn't want it to be dark.

All of my layers are centered on a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4" card front of Tempting Turquoise Card Stock from Stampin' Up and then adhered to a white A2 top fold card base turned on its side for a landscape card. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card stock and mat it with a scrap of the same turquoise card stock. No foam tape for this one... just adhered all the layers directly on the card.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with a Summer theme. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Nutty or Nice? ~ Lawn Fawn

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back again today to share my holiday card for day 4 of the Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party. I just adore the little scene card I created to share! The adorable squirrels and snowman come from the Nutty or Nice? Stamp Set that was a collaboration set from our wonderful sponsor Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp for the 2018 STAMPtember celebration.

I paired them up with the beautiful A Shabby Christmas 6x6 paper pad from our awesome sponsor Not 2 Shabby. I die cut the red glittery paper using the largest die from the Large Cross-Stitched Rectangle Stackables die from Lawn Fawn. I also die cut a little snowy hill for my inner layer using a die from the Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn, as well.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up these cuties:

Snowman: C00, C1, C3
Hat: N0, N1, N3, N5, R00, R20
Scarf: R00, R20
Squirrels: E21, E23, E25
Squirrel Hat: R20, R14
Squirrel Scarf: YG11, G24
Carrot Nose: YR21, YR15

I stamped the sentiment and fussy cut two fishtails for both end, mat it with a scrap of the glitter paper, and adhered it to the card. All of my layers are adhered using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from our wonderful Sponsor Therm O Web. I did add a couple scraps of card stock underneath the snowman's head so that it would lay flat on the card.

Inspiration for my card came from this month's {BYSHC} Sketch #44. I love the simplicity of this sketch but really the possibilities are endless!

I can't believe that we're halfway through the linky party already! Stop by the Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Merry Christmas Card ~ Happy Winter ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm wrapping up my guest designing for the month of November for the The Greeting Farm!! This month has seriously flown by! I have a fun holiday card featuring the adorable Happy Winter Digi Set! If you missed my first card as a guest designer for The Greeting Farm, you can check it out here... Fairy Anya. And if you missed seeing my second card for TGF, you can check it out here... Angel Anya.

I had so much fun building a scene for my fairy card earlier this month that I wanted to play some more with my digi stamps. I just happened to get the new Happy Winter Digi Set so I thought this was a perfect opportunity to play. I combined and resized all the digis into a Word Document. I like to play with sizing and then print off a quick draft {an option on my printer to print with less ink} on copy paper. Then I'm able to see if the sizing is right. This one took me a few tries... I had originally had a larger snowman but he just wasn't going to fit without eliminating a tree and I like the balance of the trees on either side of the house so I opted for a tiny snowman. I like to think the kids built him from some of the snowballs.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin / Mouth: E000, E00, E11; R00, R20
Anya's Hair / Ian's Hair: E21, E23; E21, E23, E27
Anya's Clothes: BG70, BG72, BG75, R20, R14, R46, C00, C1
Ian's Clothes: BV20 BV34, BV17, C00, C1, C3
Snow: B000, B60, C00
Snowman Nose: YR15
Snowman Hat / Scarf: R20, R14
Trees: G24, G46
House: Y00, Y11, YR30, YR31, YR24, E74, E77, N0, N1, N3, N5
Sky: B0000, B000

The panel was die cut with the Large Cross-Stitched Rectangle Stackables die from Lawn Fawn. I mat it with a 3-3/8 x 4-5/8" piece of Smokey Shadow card stock from Papertrey Ink. Before I started coloring I found some cute pattern papers in my stash.... the Snowfall Collection from Authentique. I cut two of the papers and adhered them to a white A2 top fold card base. I also cut a 1/8" strip of the Smokey Shadow card stock to adhere as a border between the pattern papers. I used a scrap of the Smokey Shadow card stock to heat emboss my sentiment from the adorable Gingerbread Christmas stamp set. I like to heat emboss with a white pigment ink and white embossing powder. It gives a nice bright white that really pops. Especially on darker card stock. I used the Sugar Cube pigment ink from Taylored Expressions with Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe and I melted the ep with a Wagner Precision Heat tool.

I adhered the sentiment at the bottom of the panel, added a bunch of foam tape to the back of the panel and the sentiment, and then I popped it up on the card. I hope I've inspired you to get inky and have some fun with your digi stamps and papers!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

Cute Scene Card ~ Anya Reboot with Fairyland~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am super excited and honored to be guest designing for The Greeting Farm for the month of November!! I have a few fun projects to share with you all this month... starting with an adorable scene card featuring the super cute fairy Anya from the big Anya Reboot stamps!

I created a fun scene for fairy Anya by combining and resizing a few different digi stamps from the Fairyland Digi Set into a Word Document. I included the snail on the document but kept him separate so I could pop him up on the card.

I stamped the sweet fairy Anya with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her up with Copic Markers. I also colored up my scene and the snail. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: YR31, E43, E44
Dress: RV000, RV10, RV21, YG11, G14, G07
Wings: B0000, B00, B02, V000, V12, V15
Mushrooms: W00, W0, W1, W3
Red Mushroom {behind snail}: R20, R14, R46, W0, W1, W3
House: E53, E55, E57, E59, B0000, B000, B00, B02, B04, N0, N1, N3, N5, Y06, Y15
Snail: YG11, YG03, YG63, V000, V12, V15, W0, W1, W3
Grass: YG11, YG03, YG63
Sky: B0000, B000, B00

I trimmed up my panel just slightly smaller than the edging on my die cut panel. Adhered the pieces together and mat them with a purple card front that was adhered to a white card base. I fussy cut the snail and Anya on the line and the colored the edges with a black marker. A nice trick for making fussy cut images look nice and neat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lettered stamp set. Trimmed it up and cut a fishtail end. I popped up the snail, Anya, and the sentiment using foam tape. Love the dimension it gives to the card and the whole scene. I hope I've inspired you to get inky and mix up your stamps and digi stamps!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

~ Friends of Unity October 2023 Blog Hop ~

   Hello there crafty friend!
It's the first Saturday of October and that means it's time for our Friends of Unity Blog Hop!!
This month's cue is so much fun! I had so many fun ideas for this one but time has not been on my side and I only got a couple cards done. I hope you'll hop along with us and enjoy some wonderful inspiration from our friends!

Build A Scene is our cue this month!
So stinkin' fun! I can't wait to see what our friends made to share with us all!

My first card features a whole bunch of stamps but the star is the adorable new Winnie the Pooh: Sweet Notes from Pooh!! Love, love, love this adorable stamp! Pooh bear and the mailbox were stamped with Black Amalgam ink and I colored them up with the following Copic markers:

Pooh: Y11, Y06, Y15
Scarf: R20, R14, R46
Hat: C00, C1, YG11, G24, G46
Mailbox: E51, E55, E57, N0, N1, N3, N5, R20, R14, R46
Envelopes: C00, C1, R20, R14, R46

I fussy cut Pooh bear and the mailbox and then cleaned up the edges by coloring them with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker.

I stamped the background first with A Little Christmas Carol. I inked up the top with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink and the bottom with Mowed Lawn. I did the colors separately and used a blending brush to soften the lines in between but they were covered up with the tree line. Next, I stamped the Blanket of Snow Background with Tumbled Glass... just on the top portion. And then I stamped the tree line from the Northwoods Peace with Forest Moss. I then stamped the little trees from Winnie the Pooh: Forever with You using Rustic Wilderness and then in the very front Pine Needles Distress Oxide inks.

I blended a bit of Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn oxides around the panel but then I decided to die cut it with the largest die from the Postage Stamp {nesting dies}. Next, I blended Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink around the edges. I adhered the mailbox and Pooh bear to the panel and then I adhered the panel to a Kraft card base. In my rush to finish up my card, I didn't ground the mailbox or Pooh bear which I would do if I remade this card. I stamped the sentiment with Black Amalgam ink and colored 'Merry' with my R14 copic marker. I trimmed it up and adhered it to the card. I think it turned out pretty cute!

I totally cheated on my second card!! I didn't really build a scene because this beautiful stamp is a scene. It's the Scenic Route stamp. I stamped it with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with the following Copic Markers:

Van ~ C00, C1, N0, N1, N3, R20, R14, R46
Snow ~ C00, C1
Sky ~ B95, B97, B99, B39

I die cut the background with the largest stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. And then I did some white acrylic paint splatters all over the panel. I stamped the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from the Vintage Poinsettia stamps using Black Amalgam ink and then I fussy cut it so it wouldn't cover up too much of the background.

I adhered the die cut panel to a white A2 top fold card base that I turned on the side. I had really hoped to make a fun Fall card but as I mentioned above I ran out of time.

Now before we get to the hopping, I chose a lucky winner from the comments on last month's hop to win a fun prize and the lucky winner is...
