{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 44 ~ Christmas Sentiments ~ Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new sketch challenge over in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a sweet Christmas card featuring the cutest little snowman from the Christmas Sentiments digital stamps from our awesome sponsor, Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps! Rachelle from RAM Stamps has generously offered up a $20 gift card as a prize for the {BYSHC} Sketch 44 this month! So amazing!! Thanks so much, Rachelle!

Our sketch this month is very simple!! It's great for a quick card. I combined a few digital stamp sets in a Word Document and resized the images. I then print off my digital stamps. I like to fill a page or at least fill the page halfway before I print it off. That way I can use the other half of the page to print off other digital stamps later on. If it's any smaller than half of a page, my printer refuses to use it! LOL

This adorable digi stamp is also sold separately as the Christmas Merry Digital Stamp. I couldn't pass up on the deal with all the sentiments so I got the set of four sentiments, but thought I'd share in case someone just wanted this one. I paired up this sweet digi stamp with the beautiful Miss Mary Christmas papers that I got from Hobby Lobby. I love the colors in these papers!! I tried to color up my images with similar colors from the papers. I die cut the pattern paper using the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Snowman / Snowball: C00, C1, C3
Snowman Nose: Y15, YR15
Hat: C00, C1, C3, R00, R20, RV13
Squirrels: E21, E23, E25
Merry Sentiment: G0000, G000, G12, G24

I adhered the striped pattern paper to a white A2 top fold card base that I turned on the side for a landscape card. I fussy cut the Christmas Merry Digital Stamp leaving a white border around the image. I then adhered it to a scrap of Pinefeather card stock from Papertrey Ink. And then I fussy cut it again leaving a border. I adhered the panel directly to the card. I love how this turned out!

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 44 for the month of April. Loving the simplicity of this sketch! I can't wait to see what everyone does with it. I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch. If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! Lots of creative and sweet inspiration this month from the design team.

Merry Christmas Card ~ Happy Winter ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm wrapping up my guest designing for the month of November for the The Greeting Farm!! This month has seriously flown by! I have a fun holiday card featuring the adorable Happy Winter Digi Set! If you missed my first card as a guest designer for The Greeting Farm, you can check it out here... Fairy Anya. And if you missed seeing my second card for TGF, you can check it out here... Angel Anya.

I had so much fun building a scene for my fairy card earlier this month that I wanted to play some more with my digi stamps. I just happened to get the new Happy Winter Digi Set so I thought this was a perfect opportunity to play. I combined and resized all the digis into a Word Document. I like to play with sizing and then print off a quick draft {an option on my printer to print with less ink} on copy paper. Then I'm able to see if the sizing is right. This one took me a few tries... I had originally had a larger snowman but he just wasn't going to fit without eliminating a tree and I like the balance of the trees on either side of the house so I opted for a tiny snowman. I like to think the kids built him from some of the snowballs.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin / Mouth: E000, E00, E11; R00, R20
Anya's Hair / Ian's Hair: E21, E23; E21, E23, E27
Anya's Clothes: BG70, BG72, BG75, R20, R14, R46, C00, C1
Ian's Clothes: BV20 BV34, BV17, C00, C1, C3
Snow: B000, B60, C00
Snowman Nose: YR15
Snowman Hat / Scarf: R20, R14
Trees: G24, G46
House: Y00, Y11, YR30, YR31, YR24, E74, E77, N0, N1, N3, N5
Sky: B0000, B000

The panel was die cut with the Large Cross-Stitched Rectangle Stackables die from Lawn Fawn. I mat it with a 3-3/8 x 4-5/8" piece of Smokey Shadow card stock from Papertrey Ink. Before I started coloring I found some cute pattern papers in my stash.... the Snowfall Collection from Authentique. I cut two of the papers and adhered them to a white A2 top fold card base. I also cut a 1/8" strip of the Smokey Shadow card stock to adhere as a border between the pattern papers. I used a scrap of the Smokey Shadow card stock to heat emboss my sentiment from the adorable Gingerbread Christmas stamp set. I like to heat emboss with a white pigment ink and white embossing powder. It gives a nice bright white that really pops. Especially on darker card stock. I used the Sugar Cube pigment ink from Taylored Expressions with Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe and I melted the ep with a Wagner Precision Heat tool.

I adhered the sentiment at the bottom of the panel, added a bunch of foam tape to the back of the panel and the sentiment, and then I popped it up on the card. I hope I've inspired you to get inky and have some fun with your digi stamps and papers!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Cute Scene Card ~ Anya Reboot with Fairyland~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am super excited and honored to be guest designing for The Greeting Farm for the month of November!! I have a few fun projects to share with you all this month... starting with an adorable scene card featuring the super cute fairy Anya from the big Anya Reboot stamps!

I created a fun scene for fairy Anya by combining and resizing a few different digi stamps from the Fairyland Digi Set into a Word Document. I included the snail on the document but kept him separate so I could pop him up on the card.

I stamped the sweet fairy Anya with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her up with Copic Markers. I also colored up my scene and the snail. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: YR31, E43, E44
Dress: RV000, RV10, RV21, YG11, G14, G07
Wings: B0000, B00, B02, V000, V12, V15
Mushrooms: W00, W0, W1, W3
Red Mushroom {behind snail}: R20, R14, R46, W0, W1, W3
House: E53, E55, E57, E59, B0000, B000, B00, B02, B04, N0, N1, N3, N5, Y06, Y15
Snail: YG11, YG03, YG63, V000, V12, V15, W0, W1, W3
Grass: YG11, YG03, YG63
Sky: B0000, B000, B00

I trimmed up my panel just slightly smaller than the edging on my die cut panel. Adhered the pieces together and mat them with a purple card front that was adhered to a white card base. I fussy cut the snail and Anya on the line and the colored the edges with a black marker. A nice trick for making fussy cut images look nice and neat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lettered stamp set. Trimmed it up and cut a fishtail end. I popped up the snail, Anya, and the sentiment using foam tape. Love the dimension it gives to the card and the whole scene. I hope I've inspired you to get inky and mix up your stamps and digi stamps!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 36 ~ Christmas Peace ~ RAM Stamps

  Hello there crafty friend!
I'm sharing another Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 36 for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. This time I played with a fun digi stamp from RAM Stamps called Christmas Peace Digital Stamp. Also available in the Christmas Sentiments Digital Stamp Set along with three other adorable digital stamps.

I paired up the sweet Christmas Peace Digital Stamp with the Pumpkin Marshmallow Slimline Paper Pad from Not 2 Shabby. I just love pink for Christmas! I remembered there were some really pretty pink papers in this paper pad which also gave me the idea to go with a mini slimline design using this month's sketch.

The digi stamp was inserted into a Microsoft Word Document where I adjusted the size of the image to make it small enough to work for this sketch. I printed it off and colored it up with my Copic markers. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the digi stamp:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ Y11, Y21, Y26
Wings / Dress ~ R000, R11, R21
Star ~ Y11, Y15
PEACE ~ R00, R11, R21
Outline ~ C00, C1

I die cut my pattern papers and adhered them all on the mini slimline card front of pink pattern paper. I die cut the pink glitter pattern paper with the scalloped frame die in the Framework Die Set from Newton's Nook Designs. Adhered it over the colored panel and then trimmed away the excess paper from the edges. I then trimmed off the left side because it just didn't look right with the scallops on that side.

Here's another look at the {BYSHC} Sketch 36 for this month's challenge. It sure was fun to alter the sketch to work with a mini slimline card design. I sure hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch challenge... there's still lots of time to play!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 34 ~ Lovely Legs Hugging Elves ~ Colorado Craft Company

  Hello there crafty friend!
I'm sharing another Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 34 for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. This time I played with a fun digi stamp from Colorado Craft Company called Lovely Legs Hugging Elves. Did you know that Colorado Craft Company started selling digi stamps?! I was super excited to get couple of their digi stamps during one of their Buy One Get One sales... such a fab sale!

I paired up this sweet Lovely Legs Hugging Elves digi stamp with the Santa Claus Lane 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park Paper Co. These fun plaid papers have stitches on some of the plaid which reminds me of the stitched ribbons I used to hoard from Stampin' Up. I thought it was a fun plaid paper and the perfect colors for my focal panel.

The digi stamp was inserted into a Microsoft Word Document where I adjusted the size of the image. I kept it kind of big because I wanted it to be a large focal panel. I love how the line of the snow works so well with the line of the focal panel in the sketch. This digi stamp is so perfect for this sketch! Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the digi stamp:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04
Dress / Red Shoes ~ C00, C1, C3, R20, R17, R27
Pants ~ Y06, Y15
Jacket ~ YG11, G24, G46, Y15
Belts ~ N0, N2, N4, N6, Y06, Y28
Black Shoes ~ N0, N2, N4, N6
Snow ~ C00, C1, C3
Sky ~ B000

I die cut a piece of white card stock with a die from the Double Roped Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs. I trimmed the copic colored digi stamp to fit inside of the die cut rectangle. I covered the back of the die cut with lots of foam tape and popped it up on the card. The sentiment is a sticker from the Christmas Clippings Stickers from Tim Holtz and Idea-ology. I trimmed the ends with my scissors and just stuck it on the card. I love these sentiment stickers! They have been so handy!

Here's another look at the {BYSHC} Sketch 34 for this month's challenge. Did you know that Colorado Craft Company is sponsoring this month's challenge? The winner of this month's challenge will receive a fun prize package of Colorado Craft Company goodies!! I sure hope you'll join us and play along... there's still a whole week left to enter the challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Today I'm sharing a card using the beautiful new digi stamp from return Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs called Joy and Noel!

This beautiful digi is so fun to color! I went with a bit of a rainbow theme so I chose the Really Rainbow Christmas papers from Sponsor Lawn Fawn. I don't believe these papers are available anymore but Lawn Fawn just released some really pretty new knit papers!! I love knit papers!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this beautiful digi stamp:

'J' and 'Y' ~ C00, C2, C3, R20, R14, R27
Bell ~ Y11, Y15, Y35, Y28, Y06
Bow ~ YG11, G24, G46
Lights ~ B000, B00, B02, Y11, Y15, YG11, G14, V000, V12, V15, R20, R14, R27

I die cut the panel with the largest die from the Pleated Lace Rectangles dies from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. One of my favorite die sets from Gina Marie Designs!

I added some sparkle to the bell with Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer pen. You can see a tiny bit of sparkle in this photo. I also added a bit of shine to the cute lights with some Ranger Glossy Accents.

Yummy Mini Slimline ~ Love And A Fabulous Cupcake ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a quick and yummy mini slimline for a last minute Valentine's Day card! I used the sweet Love And A Fabulous Cupcake digi stamp set from Polka Dot Orchard for this yummy card.

I started by combining and resizing the digi stamps in this set in a Word Document. When I plan to make a mini slimline I usually turn my images sideways and keep them at the top of the document. I do this for two reasons... first, to keep the images at either end of the paper so I'm not wasting a full sheet of card stock printing it off. And second, so that I can use the rulers that are available in Word to help me get the size just right.

I die cut the image with the beautiful Pleated Lace Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs. And then I got to coloring with the following Copic markers:

Cherry Heart ~ RV0000, RV21, RV14, E21, E23, E25
Icing ~ C00, C2, C3
Cupcake Liners ~ BG0000, BG23, BV0000, BV02, RV0000, RV21, RV14
Grounding ~ C00, C3

I kept this card very simple and just adhered the die cut and colored panel to a pink mini slimline card base measuring 6-1/2 x 7"; scored at 3-1/2". Done... a quick and easy Valentine's Day card!

Here's a look at the cute Love And A Fabulous Cupcake digi stamp set!! Love it! Stop by Polka Dot Orchard to see all the fun Love Day digi stamps! These are great for all those last minute Valentine's Day cards!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Wishing You a Cozy Day ~ Cozy Kind of Day ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!
I mentioned the other day that Polka Dot Orchard had just released a bunch of caffeinated goodness and I just couldn't help but play with this sweet new digi set by Jeanie Hays called Cozy Kind of Day! I am mad about plaid and the thermos in this cute digi stamp set are just so fun to play with!

Now since this is a digital stamp set, I blended my background with my inks before I printed them. I blended Candied Apple, Fired Brick and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks on one half of my white card stock.

I then combined and resized the digital stamps in a Word Document, organizing them so that the thermos background would print first onto my ink blended background.

The line of thermos and sentiment printed on the bottom half of my card stock. I cut my card stock in half and got to coloring up the thermos very simply with my Copic markers.

Here's the list of Copic markers I used:

Thermos 1 ~ N0, N1, N3, R14, R20, R27
Thermos 2 ~ R14, R20, R27, N0, N1, N3, N6
Thermos 3 ~ N0, N1, N3
Thermos 4 ~ N0, N1, N3, N6
Grounding ~ N0, N1, N2

I die cut the background and the copic colored thermos with dies from the Big & Little Chain Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs. I mat my layers on Real Red and True Black card stock and then adhered them all onto a white A2 top fold card base.

Here's a look at the cute Cozy Kind of Day digi stamp set!! Love it! Stop by Polka Dot Orchard to see all the new fun digi stamps that were released! All so fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Winter Wonderland ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!

I can't believe the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop is almost over!! Time has flown by so fast! Today I'm sharing a Christmas card using the beautiful digi stamp set from hop Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs called Winter Wonderland!! I absolutely LOVE this digi stamp set!

I love old truck stamps and collect as many as I can so this beautiful set was a no-brainer... I had to add it to my collection! And since it's a digi stamp I can resize it and combine with other images for all kinds of card designs!

For this card, in particular, I actually printed off the trees as a card front and the truck as a separate card front because I wanted to pop up the truck layer in front of the tree layer.

I think you can see some of the dimension of the two layers in this photo. I really had a lot of fun coloring this one too. I love the pop of red with the truck and I complimented that with a Real Red card front on my white A2 top fold card base.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Sky ~ BG000, BG01, BG10
Trees ~ G000, G24, G46, E23, E27
Truck ~ R000, R14, R27, N0, N1, N2, N4, N6, B000, B00
Snow ~ C00, C2

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Angie Blom Digital Designs... her Christmas sale is over, but there's a fabulous sale going on for her beautiful Angie Girl & Guy Collection!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Poinsettia Greetings ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with another beautiful Christmas card for the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! Today I have a sweet card using a fun digi stamp from hop Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard called Poinsettia Greetings. Poinsettias are my absolute favorite flower around the Holidays so whenever I get a chance to play with Poinsettia stamps I am a happy stamper!

This particular digi stamp is extra special to me since I illustrated it for Polka Dot Orchard. I was able to use the one digi stamp to create a beautiful border of poinsettias for my card. I also print an extra poinsettia to fussy cut and add a bit of dimension to the card.

I ink smooshed some Kitsch Flamingo and Festive Berries Distress Oxide inks leaving some bits of white. I die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment with the Labels 5 Nested dies from hop Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. And then I mat it with a piece of black card stock that I also die cut with a slightly larger die from the same die set.

Before you leave, be sure to stop Polka Dot Orchard... there's a fabulous sale going on!! Including the Poinsettia Greetings digi stamp set!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! I've been so inspired by all the pretty cards!

It's day 3 of the Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop and I am so excited to share a sweet card using an adorable digi stamp from new Sponsor KaDoodle Bug Designs!! KaDoodle Bug Designs has lots of cool cutting files and digi stamps!! I admit, I got lost oohing and aahing just looking at all the goodies. I did manage to get a couple super cute digi stamps to play with for the hop! I just couldn't resist!

This little cutie is the Joy Bear digital stamp... so much fun to color this up!! I resized the digi stamp in a Word Document and printed him off... easy peasy! Then the fun part... coloring! I used the following Copic markers to color this image:

Bear ~ E23, E27, E51, E55, R01, R20
Hat ~ R000, R14, R46, C00, C2
Wreath ~ YG11, G24, G46, R000, R14, R46
J & Y ~ YG11, G24, G46

I just had to go with traditional red and green with a touch of kraft for this card! I used a large circle die to cut my card base from Kraft card stock. I used a slightly smaller circle die to cut the holly & berry paper from the Christmas Magic paper pad by Doodlebug Design. I die cut Joy Bear with a circle die and then popped him up with foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a bunch of Red Flat Back Rhinestones from Sponsor Twiddler's Nook! Such a fun touch of sparkle it adds to the card!
