"Pillar of Fire" é o segundo álbum da Tau Cross e eu acreditava que seria uma continuação do primeiro registro que é bem semelhante ao último álbum da Amebix. Pois bem, "Pillar of Fire" segue um caminho diferente agora, no sentido das músicas soarem mais originais e únicas, nas quais é impossível rotulá-las em um estilo musical específico. Em todo caso, você ouvirá e sentirá alguma essência da Amebix, Killing Joke e Voivod nesse álbum. Minhas faixas favoritas são "Deep State", "Pillar of Fire" (a canção mais bonita desse álbum), "Killing The King", "The Big House", "Seven Wheels" e "What Is A Man". Devo salientar que as letras são muito bem escritas e pode parecer loucura da minha parte, mas o conteúdo lírico me fez criar uma associação com os livros da série Game of Thrones escrito pelo George R. R. Martin, o que tornou ainda maior a minha admiração por este álbum. Capa por Costin Chioreanu (Bloodway). Muito bom!

"Pillar of Fire" is Tau Cross's second album and I believed it would be a continuation of the first record that is very similar to Amebix's latest album. Well, "Pillar of Fire" follows a different path now, in the sense that the songs sound more original and unique, so it is impossible to label them with a specific musical style. In any case, you will hear and feel some essence of Amebix, Killing Joke and Voivod on this album. My favorite tracks are "Deep State", "Pillar of Fire" (the most beautiful song of this album), "Killing The King", "The Big House", "Seven Wheels" and "What Is A Man". I must point out that the lyrics are very well written and may sound crazy to me, but the lyrical content made me create an association with the books of the Game of Thrones series written by George R. R. Martin and this made my admiration for this album even greater. Artwork by Costin Chioreanu (Bloodway). Very good!

Tau é um símbolo muito, mas muito antigo e que inclusive está riscado nas cavernas pelo homem primitivo em vários pontos do planeta. Com relação isso, o nome da banda faz sentido, pois as músicas/letras estão conectadas de certa forma a esse antigo símbolo, da qual o homem tribal tinha total contato com a terra e a natureza, além é claro de contrastar com a modernidade do caos. Esse álbum é de fato uma continuação do último álbum lançado pela Amebix chamado "Sonic Mass", algo bem natural a meu ver. E sim, você pode escutar e sentir alguma semelhança com Killing Joke, Motörhead e até mesmo Sepultura. E daí? Isso são apenas influências e inspirações. Independente disso, "Tau Cross" é um álbum espetacular do inicio ao fim, ou seja, é o tipo de música da qual você escuta várias vezes seguidas, pois isso realmente é muito bom. Claro, além de Rob "The Baron" Miller (vocal/baixo) os outros responsáveis por esse registro são Michel "Away" Langevin (bateria - Voivod), John Greenslit (guitarra - Misery) e Andy Lefton (guitarra - War//Plague). Com toda essa galera envolvida o resultado é um dos melhores álbuns feitos em 2015. Isso é simplesmente místico! 

Tau is a very but very ancient symbol and that even primitive man drew it in caves in various parts of the world. Regarding this, the band's name makes sense because the songs/lyrics are connected in some way to this ancient symbol, which the tribal man had full contact with the earth and nature, and of course to contrast with the modernity of chaos. This album is indeed a continuation of the last album released by Amebix called "Sonic Mass", something very natural in my opinion. Yeah, you can hear and feel some resemblance to Killing Joke, Motörhead and even Sepultura. So what? These are only influences and inspirations. Regardless, "Tau Cross" is a spectacular album from start to finish, that is, the kind of music which you listen several times, because it really is very good. Of course, in addition to Rob "The Baron" Miller (vocals / bass) the others responsible for this record are Michel "Away" Langevin (drums - Voivod), John Greenslit (guitars - Misery) and Andy Lefton (guitars - War//Plague). With all these guys involved the result is one of the best albums made in 2015. This is simply mystic!
