STORM OF SEDITION - HOWL OF DYNAMITE

First of all, I must say and repeat that Storm of Sedition is one of the great bands that have appeared in the last decade and with Howl of Dynamite this is very evident, in addition of course, the previous records do not let me lie, because it also are very good. Released in 2019, Howl of Dynamite fully lives up to the name/title, since the album represents insurrections and explosive attacks against society and the control systems (financial, religious or moral), a revolt that requires the individual to rise and rebel, where the rebel strives to get rid of constitutions, in other words, propaganda by the deed, rejection of forms of social organization and an anti-civilization manifest in the form of non-commercial noise. The lyrics on this album are really good and actually sound like dynamites, which even includes criticisms of some aspects of anarchism (analyzing this, in this case, the words and lyricism of Storm of Sedition, you can see the influence and a mix Ravachol, Bob Black, Max Stiner and Unabomber, for example). As for the noise, Storm of Sedition continues with the same musical destruction that began on the album Decivilize released in 2016, that is, the rawness, coldness and harshness of black metal combined with the filthy and the rot of crust. On the cover, it has everything to do with the album title, as it is related to a bombing that occurred on Wall Street at noon on September 16, 1920, a hundred years ago (if you want to know more about that act , here are two articles on the subject: link 1 and link 2). Howl of Dynamite is an excellent album from beginning to end, so I highlight ALL the tracks, mainly because of the lyrics, without forgetting, of course, the brutal noise made by them. One of the best and most destructive records of 2019, total blast. Booooom!

Antes de mais nada, eu devo dizer e repetir que o Storm of Sedition é uma das bandas mais fodas que surgiram nesta última década e com Howl of Dynamite isso está muito evidente, além é claro, os registros anteriores não me deixam mentir, pois são muito bons. Lançado em 2019, Howl of Dynamite faz jus totalmente ao nome/título, uma vez que o álbum representa insurreições e ataques explosivos contra a sociedade e sistema de controle (seja ele financeiro, religioso ou moral), uma revolta que exige que o indivíduo se eleve e se rebele, onde o rebelde esforça-se por se livrar de constituições, em outras palavras, propaganda pelo ato, rejeição das formas de organização social e um manifesto anti-civilização em forma de barulho não-comercial. As letras desse álbum são realmente muito boas e soam de fato como dinamites, na qual inclui até críticas a algumas vertentes do anarquismo (analisando isso, no caso, as palavras e o lirismo do Storm of Sedition, percebe-se a influência e um misto de Ravachol, Bob Black, Max Stiner e Unabomber, por exemplo). Quanto a barulheira, o Storm of Sedition segue com a mesma destruição musical que se iniciou no álbum Decivilize de 2016, ou seja, a crueza, frieza e rispidez do black metal aliada com a sujeira e podridão do crust. Sobre a capa, ela tem tudo a ver com o título do álbum, pois está relacionada a um atentado a bomba que ocorreu em Wall Street ao meio-dia de 16 de setembro de 1920, cem anos atrás (caso queira saber mais sobre esse ato, aqui tem dois artigos sobre o assunto: link 1 e link 2). Howl of Dynamite é um álbum excelente do início ao fim, sendo assim, destaco TODAS as faixas, principalmente por conta das letras, sem esquecer é claro, da porradaria. Um dos melhores e mais destrutivos registros de 2019, estouro total. Booooom!

STORM OF SEDITION - DECIVILIZE

A Storm of Sedition é uma banda excelente e pra mim é uma das bandas mais interessantes que surgiu nesses últimos três anos. Em 2014 a banda lançou o seu primeiro registro, da qual eu achei extremamente foda, pois os sons tinham um pique muito agressivo ala Nuclear Death Terror. Porém "Decivilize" é um álbum diferente em relação ao primeiro registro, digo isso no sentido de não soar como Nuclear Death Terror e sim mais original, metalizado e com outras influências (isso não quer dizer que a banda não é agressiva musicalmente, muito pelo contrário). Das doze faixas que compõem "Decivilize", eu destaco "Deurbanize", "Mechanism of Defense" (soa como black metal, mas neste caso eu classifico como green metal), "Shackles", "Disconnect", "Education is Colonization" (eu traduzi essa letra para um debate em uma sala de aula na minha universidade), "Death Culture" e "Leviathan". Com relação às letras deste álbum, todas são muito boas e são muito semelhantes ao modo de enxergar o mundo ao meu redor. Além das letras, no encarte contém escritos de Layla Abdelrahim (autora do livro "Wild Children - Domesticated Dreams: Civilization and the Birth of Education" - infelizmente este livro não está disponível em português) e Wolfi Landstreicher (autor do livro "A Rede de Dominação") dentre outras boas informações. Diante de todos esses elogios, eu digo que este "Decivilize" é simplesmente um dos álbuns mais espetaculares lançado em 2016. Fodido! 

Storm of Sedition is an excellent band and for me it's one of the most interesting bands I have heard in the last three years. In 2014 the band released their first record which is to me extremely good, the songs sound aggressively like Nuclear Death Terror. But "Decivilize" is a different album than the first record, I say this in the sense that it does not sound like Nuclear Death Terror but rather more original, metallized and with other influences (although they keep true to their aggressive sound). Of the twelve tracks that make up "Decivilize", I highlight "Deurbanize", "Mechanism of Defense" (sounds like black metal, but in this case I classify it as green metal), "Shackles", "Disconnect", "Education is Colonization" (I translated these lyrics for a debate in a classroom at my university), "Death Culture" and "Leviathan". As for the lyrics on this album, all the words are very good and very similar to the way I see the world around me. In addition to the lyrics, the booklet contains writings by Layla Abdelrahim (author of the book "Wild Children - Domesticated Dreams: Civilization and the Birth of Education" - unfortunately this book is not available in Portuguese language) and Wolfi Landstreicher (author of "The Network of Domination") among other well written information. In view of all these compliments, I say that this "Decivilize" is simply one of the most spectacular albums released in 2016. Great!

Caralho! Que banda massa! Storm of Sedition é uma nova banda do Canadá e em sua formação contém membros que já tocaram em bandas como, Mechanical Separation, Leper, Mutiny e Iskra. Bom, o que tu irás escutar aqui é crustcore no seu estado mais bruto e com uma grande influência da Nuclear Death Terror. Com dois vocalistas muito bons, sendo um feminino e um masculino, a banda destrói tudo. Notam-se bons riffs de guitarras, baixo e bateria no ritmo do caos. Outro grande destaque para essa banda canadense é o conteúdo das suas letras. Altamente influenciado por literatura anarco-primitivista, a banda mostra as falhas da civilização. A foto que está na capa foi um bombardeio do Dunsmuir BC Hydro Substation realizado pelo grupo anarquista Ação Direta a.k.a. The Squamish 5 em 30 de maio de 1982. Sem mais, grande revelação de 2014! Música para mudança social sem fins lucrativos!!!

Storm of Sedition is a new band from Canada and their training has members who have played in bands such as, Mechanical Separation, Leper, Mutiny and Iskra. Well, what you will hear here is crustcore in its most raw state and with a great influence of the band Nuclear Death Terror. With two very good singers, one female and one male, the band destroys everything. One sees good guitar riffs, bass and drums in the rhythm of chaos. Another highlight for this Canadian band is the lyrical content. Highly influenced by anarcho-primitivist literature, the band shows the failures of civilization. The photo on the cover is from the bombing of the Dunsmuir BC Hydro Substation carried out by the anarchist group Direct Action a.k.a. The Squamish 5 on May 30, 1982. Great revelation of 2014! Music for social change not profit!!!
