SIMBIOSE - BANALIZATION OF EVIL

Banalization of Evil is the seventh album in the career of Simbiose and this record is very good. Talking about this album is easy, because it follows with the same energy and rhythm as the previous album Trapped (2015), that is, aggressive and furious crustcore with metallic influences and Ratos de Porão. Although the album's title is in English and very much in line with current reality (the cover makes this very clear too), most of the songs were written in Portuguese (eight tracks) and the rest in English (four tracks), regardless, the lyrics are good, with emphasis on "Intolerante", "Banalization of Evil", "É A Vida", "Traiçoeira", "Na Mão de Estranhos" (with the participation of Juan do Soziedad Alkoholika - the chorus of this song reminds "Nunca Digas Que Não" by Dias de Quarantena, a side project that is composed by Jonhie and João Gordo from Ratos de Porão), "Refugiados", "Viver Assim", "Realidade" and "Violent Minds". Anyway, one of the coolest records of 2019.

Banalization of Evil é o sétimo álbum na carreira do Simbiose e está muito bom. Falar desse álbum é fácil, pois segue com a mesma energia e ritmo do álbum Trapped (2015), ou seja, crustcore agressivo e furioso com influências metálicas, que em alguns momentos percebe-se um tempero brasileiro chamado Ratos de Porão. Apesar do título ser em inglês e que condiz e muito com a realidade atual (a capa deixa isso muito claro também), a maioria dos sons foram escritos em português (oito faixas) e as demais em inglês (quatro faixas), independente disso, as letras são boas com destaque para "Intolerante", "Banalization of Evil", "É A Vida", "Traiçoeira", "Na Mão de Estranhos" (com a participação de Juan do Soziedad Alkoholika - o refrão desse som lembra "Nunca Digas Que Não" do Dias de Quarentena, um projeto do Jonhie e João Gordo dos Ratos de Porão), "Refugiados", "Viver Assim", "Realidade" e "Violent Minds". Enfim, um dos discos mais legais de 2019.

Lembro que um cara brasileiro fez uma excelente resenha sobre o Obscene Extreme e dos pontos que ele citou com grande ênfase foi à apresentação da Simbiose (a edição do festival foi em 2013). O autor disse ainda que os portugueses são uma das melhores bandas de crustcore da atualidade e que se a Simbiose fosse sueca eles seriam mais reconhecidos e valorizados pelo público. Independente da nacionalidade, a banda é um puta arregaço e isso é inegável. Com relação a isso, "Trapped" é o mais recente trabalho da banda lançado em 2015 e obviamente está destruidor. Crustcore aliado ao metal e com grandes riffs de guitarra mortíferos são os elementos contidos neste álbum, na qual as músicas são cantadas em português e inglês. Excelente álbum e a faixa mais marcante desse registro é "Quem Vai Ganhar?".

I remember a Brazilian guy did an excellent review of the Obscene Extreme and the points that he mentioned with great emphasis was the presentation of Simbiose (the edition of the festival was in 2013). The author also said that the Portuguese are one of the best crustcore bands of today and that if they were a Swedish band, Simbiose would be much more recognized and valued by the public. Regardless of nationality, the band is very good and this is undeniable. In this regard, "Trapped" is the latest work of the band released in 2015 and obviously a killer album. Crustcore influenced by metal and with great guitar riffs are the elements contained in this album, where the songs are sung in Portuguese and English. Excellent album and best song of this record is "Quem Vai Ganhar?".
