SIGNO XIII - FATA MORGANA

"Fata Morgana" é o terceiro lançamento da Signo XIII e foi lançado neste ano de 2015.  Felipe Rodriguez (o mentor e idealizador do projeto) não gravou todos os instrumentos como nos lançamentos anteriores e sim, a banda agora é um power trio com Douglas Almeida (baixo) e Marcelo Melo (bateria). A proposta musical continua a mesma, porém "Fata Morgana" é um trabalho muito melhor, tanto em composição quanto em gravação. Composto por nove faixas, esse EP ainda tem um bom cover da Joy Division. A capa que ficou bem massa foi feita por Zakuro Ayoama. Resumindo, se você curte post punk, rock, surf music e uma dose de experimentalismo, vai gostar desse novo EP da Signo XIII. Lembrando que no bandcamp tem o release completo desse lançamento. 

"Fata Morgana" is the third release of the Signo XIII and was released this year 2015. Felipe Rodriguez (the mentor and creator of the project) did not record all the instruments as in previous releases but the band is now a power trio with Douglas Almeida (bass) and Marcelo Melo (drums). The musical proposal remains the same but "Fata Morgana" is a much better work, both in composition and recording. Composed of nine tracks, the EP has a good cover song of Joy Division. The cover art is a beautiful work done by Zakuro Ayoama. In short, if you like post punk, rock, experimental and surf music, you will like this new EP of Signo XIII. If you speak and understand Portuguese, the band put on bandcamp all information pertaining to this release.

SIGNO XIII - ESPECTROS DE FERRO [EP]

Signo XIII é a nova banda do Felipe Rodríguez (Under The Ruins), que basicamente gravou todos os instrumentos e vozes e o som feito por ele é post punk. "Espectros de Ferro" é o segundo EP lançado e todas as músicas são feitas por ele, exceto "Terra Negra" ou "Tierra Negra", cover da banda espanhola Decima Victima. A música "Brazza" é uma homenagem ao cineasta brasileiro Afonso Brazza e contém trechos dos filmes "Inferno No Gama" e "No Eixo Da Morte" (no parte final lembra a voz que dubla o He-Man). Além disso, o som "Brazza" é o mais diferente desse EP, pois tem uma pegada total surf music. Um banda bem suave musicalmente em comparação ao Under The Ruins.


Signo XIII is the new band of Felipe Rodríguez (Under The Ruins) and he basically recorded all the instruments and voices and the music made by him is post punk. "Espectros de Ferro" is the second EP released and all the songs are made by him, except "Terra Negra" or "Tierra Negra", cover song of the Spanish band Decima Victima. The song "Brazza" is a homage to the Brazilian filmmaker Afonso Brazza and contains excerpts or vignettes from the movie "Inferno No Gama" and "No Eixo Da Morte". In addition, the song "Brazza" is the most different of this EP, because this track is totally surf music. A band much quieter musically compared to Under The Ruins.
