Esse é terceiro lançamento da Fear of the Future e também seu primeiro full-length. Esse álbum auto-intitulado segue a fórmula dos registros anteriores, ou seja, a influência metal é nítida assim como a influência punk e também rock n' roll e tudo isso é colocado em um liqüidificador para se misturar com revolta nas palavras. Bandas como Motörhead, Judas Priest, GBH, Chaos UK, Thin Lizzy e Cólera são uma grande referência para esse álbum. Com relação ao Cólera, é possível sentir essa vibração nas faixas "Dívida", "Quem É Você?" e "Downgrade" (principalmente pelos refrões) e devo dizer que as letras desses sons são muito boas (digo isso em relação a realidade de merda). Outras faixas desse lançamento que merecem destaque são "Downtown Disillusion" (uma das primeiras faixas que eu escutei), "Decapitate! (The Traitors)", "Noite Fria" (inclusive possui um clipe) e "Leave Me Alone" (cover de Johnny Thunders). "Fear of The Future", "Let's Get High (Before It's Too Late)" e "Destroy" são também bons sons mas são regravações da primeira demo (e daí?). Esse álbum é muito bom e ao escutá-lo eu sinto a mesma energia do show que assisti em BH em 2013 no MetalPunk Overkill II. "Fear of the Future" foi lançado no final de 2015, porém eu só escutei o álbum completo em 2016 e também em 2017, então pra mim é um dos melhores registro de 2016. Foda-se e destrua!

This is Fear of the Future's third release and also its first full-length. This self-titled album follows the formula from previous records, meaning the metal influence is evident as well as punk influence and also rock n' roll and all this is put into a blender to blend in with revolt in the words written by the band. Bands like Motörhead, Judas Priest, GBH, Chaos UK, Thin Lizzy and Cólera are a great reference for this album. With regard to Cólera, you can feel this vibration in the songs "Dívida", "Quem É Você?" and "Downgrade" (mainly by the choruses) and I must say that the lyrics of these songs are very good (I say this in relation to shit reality). Other tracks of this release that deserve mention are "Downtown Disillusion" (one of the first tracks I have heard from this album), "Decapitate! (The Traitors)", "Noite Fria" (this track has a video clip) and "Leave Me Alone" (Johnny Thunders cover). "Fear of the Future", "Let's Get High (Before It's Too Late)" and "Destroy" are also good songs but re-recorded and originally released by the band in the first demo (so what?). This album is very good and listening to this I feel the same energy of the show I attended in Belo Horizonte in 2013 at MetalPunk Overkill II. "Fear of the Future" was released at the end of 2015, but I only listened to the full album in 2016 and also in 2017, so for me it's one of the best records of 2016. Fuck and destroy!

FEAR OF THE FUTURE - LET'S GET HIGH BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

Fear of the Future é a nova banda do Bonga (vocal - Helvetin Viemärit, Kroni), Fred Bayiää (guitarra - Sübmit), Marcelo (bateria - Unfit Scum) e Felipe (baixo) e a sonoridade pode-se dizer que é hardcore/punk dos anos 80 com uma dose da obscuridade do metal, tendo como influência bandas como GBH, Chaos UK e Motörhead por exemplo, porém sem soar como eles. As letras que são bem pessimistas em relação ao futuro, dão também espaço a boemia/rolê, ou seja, fique chapado antes que seja tarde demais. A capa que foi feita pelo Murilo Pommer (Unfit Scum, Cadáver Em Transe) faz jus ao título da demo. "Let's Get High Before It's Too Late" é uma boa demo de estréia e contém 5 faixas.

Fear of the Future is the new band with Bonga (vocals - Helvetin Viemärit, Kroni), Fred Bayiää (guitar - SUBMIT), Marcelo (drums - Unfit Scum) and Felipe (bass) and the sound can be said that is hardcore/punk with dark metal from 80's, with the influence of bands like GBH, Chaos UK and Motörhead for example, but without sounding like them. The lyrics are very pessimistic about the future, which also depicts the bohemian life, in other words, get high before it is too late. Art work by Murilo Pommer (Unfit Scum, Cadáver Em Transe). "Let's Get High Before It's Too Late" it is a debut good demo and contains 5 tracks.
