EXTREME NOISE TERROR - A HOLOCAUST IN YOUR HEAD

Released  in 1989 by High Speed Recordings, A Holocaust In Your Head is Extreme Noise Terror's first full-length album, following the 1987 The Peel Sessions EP and the 1986 split with Chaos U.K.. Well, considered by many to be Extreme Noise Terror's best record, A Holocaust In Your Head is a noisy and destructive album from start to finish with two very rotten, screaming and guttural vocals, thus defining the most striking features that made Extreme Noise Terror's entire career, moreover, this same album is one of the pillars of what we call crustcore or grindcore (as other people prefer, no problem). A Holocaust In Your Head is composed of thirteen tracks, highlighting both the lyrical part (political/social theme, anti-system and animal rights, for example), as well as the anti-musical part (perfectly called Extreme Noise Terror). It's hard to pick what is the most powerful sound in this record and I imagine many crusties, grinders and punks have the same idea, but it's impossible to talk about this album and not mention "Deceived", "Take The Strain", "Conned Through Life", "We The Helpless" (Kuro cover), "Innocence To Ignorance", "Use Your Mind" ("[...] What do you expect to change with an 'X' on your hand?"), "Another Nail In The Coffin", "Rapping The Earth" and "Bullshit Propaganda" (Ratos de Porão played this song and it became well known in Brazil in the 90's). The vignettes introduced in this recording are unique (in the other versions that I had the opportunity to hear these excerpts were removed) and are from movies considered cult classics nowadays like Street Trash (tracks "Take The Strain" and "Conned Through Life") and Scarface (track "Murder"). A Holocaust In Your Head has its peculiarities, as there are different recordings of this album with the order of different tracks from the original, as well as bonus tracks in the CD version. In short, one of the most noisey albums of all time and I end this review with the words of the last track of the original version: "If you're only in it for the music. Just fuck off we aren't interested. In your stance fascist, racist, sexist shit. Fuck off you fat Nazi pig bastard. Milano - you're dead!". ENT on this recording were: Stick (Doom), Mark (The Wankys), Pete, Dean, Phil and Leggo (Deviated Instinct).     

Lançado em 1989 pela High Speed Recordings, A Holocaust In Your Head é o primeiro full-length da Extreme Noise Terror, sucedendo o EP The Peel Sessions de 1987 e o split com a Chaos U.K. de 1986. Bom, considerado por muitos como o melhor registro da Extreme Noise Terror, A Holocaust In Your Head é um álbum destruidor e barulhento ao extremo do início ao fim com dois vocais bem podres, gritados e guturais, configurando assim as características mais marcantes que seguiram a carreira da Extreme Noise Terror, além do mais, este mesmo álbum é um dos pilares do que nós chamamos de crustcore ou grindcore (como preferem outras pessoas). A Holocaust In Your Head é composto por treze faixas, na qual destaca tanto a parte lírica (temática política/social, anti-sistema e pró-direito dos animais, por exemplo), quanto na parte anti-musical (perfeitamente chamada de Extreme Noise Terror). É até difícil escolher qual é o som mais massa deste registro e imagino que muitos crusties, grinders e punks tem essa mesma ideia, mas é impossível falar sobre este álbum e não citar "Deceived", "Take The Strain", "Conned Through Life", "We The Helpless" (cover da Kuro), "Innocence To Ignorance", "Use Your Mind" ("[...] What do expect to change with an 'X' on your hand?"), "Another Nail In The Coffin", "Rapping The Earth" e "Bullshit Propaganda" (muito difundida pela Ratos de Porão nos anos 90). As vinhetas introduzidas nesta gravação são únicas (nas outras versões que eu tive a oportunidade de escutar elas foram retiradas) e são de filmes considerados cult hoje em dia como Street Trash (faixas "Take The Strain" e "Conned Through Life") e Scarface (faixa "Murder"). A Holocaust In Your Head tem as suas particularidades, pois existem outras gravações diferentes deste álbum com a ordem dos sons diferentes da original, além de faixas bônus na versão em CD. Em suma, um dos álbuns mais barulhentos e revoltosos de todos os tempos e finalizo essa revisão com as palavras da última faixa da versão original: "If you're only in it for the music. Pig Killer postou esse vídeo no final do ano passado e retrata as gravações das cordas desse álbum e que quem é do meio conhece essa porra até de trás pra frente. Os caras bebem, fumam, jogam sinuca escutando Rage Against The Machine, além de gravar. Muito da hora esse registro.

Pig Killer posted this video at the end of last year and portrays the recordings of the guitars and bass of this classic album and you know it very well. The guys drink, smoke, play snooker listening to Rage Against The Machine, and record their own songs. Very good video recording.

Esse split EP foi lançado em 2016 e contém quatro faixas. A Extreme Noise Terror dispensa comentários, pois com os dois barulhos contidos neste registro, a banda provoca uma destruição ultra sônica nos ouvidos. Vale lembrar que a primeira faixa executada pela Extreme Noise Terror é um cover da Septic Death. Com relação a Dwarves, eu não tive a oportunidade de escutar as músicas. 

This split EP was released in 2016 and contains four tracks. Extreme Noise Terror dispenses comments, because with only two noises contained in this record, the band causes an ultrasonic destruction in the ears. Remember that the first track performed by Extreme Noise Terror is a cover song of Septic Death. As for Dwarves, I did not have the opportunity to listen to the songs.

Dean Jones e sua gangue estão de volta. Eu sou suspeito para falar, pois eu curto essa banda pra caralho e "Extreme Noise Terror" é um álbum espetacular. TODAS as faixas são extremamente fodas e fica difícil mencionar qual é a mais empolgante, devido ao poder de impacto provocado no ouvido. Mas é impossível não falar sobre "I Like Coca (Outo "I Like Cola")" Outo cover, o que pode lembrar aquela empresa multinacional, também faz lembrar sobre cheirar cocaína e cola de sapateiro (chapado pra caralho!). Com relação à gangue, os outros membros são velhos conhecidos, como Ollie Jones (guitarra - Desecration) e Michael Hourihan (bateria - Desecration), além dos novatos Andi Morris (baixo - Desecration) e Ben McCrow (vocal - ex Gorerotted, The Rotted). Vale lembrar que a Extreme Noise Terror e Desecration estarão em turnê pelo Brasil em março de 2016 com shows em apenas alguns estados. Pra finalizar, eu repetido: esse álbum é espetacular! Cuidado: extremamente viciante! 

Dean Jones and gang is back. I'm suspect to talk, because I really like this band and "Extreme Noise Terror" is a spectacular album. ALL tracks are great and it is impossible to say which is best song on this album, because of the impact suffered by the ear (great sensation). But it is impossible for me not to talk about "I Like Coca (Outo "I Like Cola")" Outo cover song, which may remind one multinational company, also reminded me about sniffing cocaine and glue (stoned as fuck! - 'cola' means 'glue' in Portuguese). Regarding the gang, the other members are veterans, as Ollie Jones (guitar - Desecration) and Michael Hourihan (drums - Desecration), plus new members: Andi Morris (bass - Desecration) and Ben McCrow (vocals - ex Gorerotted, The Rotted). Extreme Noise Terror and Desecration will be on tour in Brazil in March 2016 with shows in just a few states. To conclude, I repeat: this album is spectacular! Caution: this is extremely addictive!
