BRUJERIA - AMARICON CZAR [EP]

Capitalism versus Bolshevism: The Cold War is back! Oh yes, the American Berlin Wall is also being built. Thus, the paranoia, delirium, hatred and boyfriend of the Brazilian far-right (and even world) are very well represented in this cover of Brujeria's new EP. Amaricon Czar was released in 2019 and contains only two tracks: "Amaricon Czar" which has humorously acid lyrics about the Russians' involvement with Donald Trump in the last US election and "Lord Nazi Ruso" that addresses the history of youtuber and Russian Nazi named Aleksei Makeev who lived in Cancun, Mexico and who in 2017 became world famous by being lynched by a group of angry local citizens during which he stabbed and killed one of the attackers. He was therefore sentenced to thirty-seven years in prison for the murder of a Mexican citizen. Musically, both tracks resemble the album Pocho Aztlan released in 2016. Anyway, good! 

Capitalismo versus Bolchevismo: A Guerra Fria está de volta! Ah sim, o Muro de Berlim americano também está sendo construído. Dessa forma, a paranóia, o delírio, o ódio e o namorado da extrema-direita brasileira (e até mesmo mundial) estão muito bem representado nesta capa do novo EP da Brujeria. Amaricon Czar foi lançado em 2019 e contém apenas duas faixas: "Amaricon Czar" que tem uma letra humoristicamente ácida em relação ao envolvimento dos russos com Donald Trump na última eleição estadunidense e "Lord Nazi Ruso" que aborda a história do youtuber e nazista russo chamado Aleksei Makeev que vivia em Cancún no México e que em 2017 tornou-se famoso mundialmente ao ser linchado por um grupo de cidadãos locais raivosos durante os quais ele esfaqueou e matou um dos atacantes. Ele foi, portanto, condenado a trinta e sete anos de prisão pelo assassinato de um cidadão mexicano. Musicalmente, ambas as faixas se assemelham ao álbum Pocho Aztlan de 2016. Enfim, massa!

Quando a Brujeria lançou o EP "Viva Presidente Trump!" eu fiquei realmente feliz, pois a banda não lançava um álbum ou EP inédito desde "Brujerizmo" (2000). "Viva Presidente Trump!" foi lançado e eu curti e isso criou uma expectativa enorme em relação ao "Pocho Aztlan", o álbum de 2016. Pois bem, "Pocho Aztlan" é um álbum bom e eu realmente gostei do que ouvi, porém não se compara aos três primeiros álbuns clássicos da Brujeria. "Pocho Aztlan" tem o seus bons momentos como nas faixas "No Aceptan Imitaciones", "Profecía Del Anticristo", "Ángel De La Frontera", "Plata O Plomo" (a melhor faixa), "Satongo" (chupa-cabras!), "Culpan La Mujer" e "Códigos". A última faixa desse álbum é "California Über Aztlan" (Dead Kennedys cover) que já tinha sido lançada como single em 2010, no entanto é cantada em espanhol (Juan Brujo reescreveu a letra). Vale lembrar que este álbum é o primeiro sem a presença de Dino "Asesino" Cazares. Enfim, "Pocho Aztlan" é um álbum bom, mas eu esperava muito mais desse novo registro. Brujeria 2016: Fantasma (baixo e vocais), Hongo (guitarra), Pinche Peach (samples e vocais), Juan Brujo (vocais), Pititis (guitarra e vocais), El Cynico (baixo e backing vocals), El Podrido (bateria) e Hongo Jr. (bateria). 

When Brujeria released the EP "Viva Presidente Trump!" I was really happy, because the band did not release an album or EP unpublished since "Brujerizmo" (2000). "Viva Presidente Trump!" was released and I enjoyed it and this created a great expectation regarding "Pocho Aztlan", the album of 2016. Well, "Pocho Aztlan" is a good album and I really like what I heard, but it does not compare to the three first classic albums of Brujeria. "Pocho Aztlan" has its good moments as in the tracks "No Aceptan Imitaciones", "Profecía Del Anticristo", "Ángel De La Frontera", "Plata O Plomo" (the best song), "Satongo" (chupa-cabras!), "Culpan La Mujer" e "Códigos". The last track of this album is "California Über Aztlan" (Dead Kennedys cover) that already had been released like single in 2010, nevertheless it is sung in Spanish (Juan Brujo rewrote the lyrics). It is worth remembering that this album is the first without the presence of Dino "Asesino" Cazares. Anyway, "Pocho Aztlan" is a good album, but I expected a lot more from this new record. Ótima idéia da Brujeria ao colocar o título desse EP como "Viva Presidente Trump!". Obviamente é um sarro com a figura pública mais escroto do mundo neste momento. Este EP contém duas faixas "Viva Presidente Trump!", excelente ruído que é uma espécie de "Pito Wilson" parte 2, da qual relata as verdades e idéias de Donald Trump (o muro, poder, preconceito, ódio racial e amante do dinheiro) e "Pared de Muerte" faixa que relata o mundo metal, paredão da morte e toda a diversão e emoção que envolve um show de metal. EP massa e fuck you puto! Viva!


Great idea from Brujeria by putting the title of this EP as "Viva Presidente Trump!". Obviously this is a sarcasm with the most stupid public figure in the world right now. This EP contains two tracks "Viva Presidente Trump!", an excellent noise that is a kind of "Pito Wilson" part 2, of which the lyrics relate the truths and ideas of Donald Trump (the wall, power, prejudice, racial hatred and lover of the money) and "Pared de Muerte", track where the lyrics relate the metal world, the wall of death and all the fun and excitement that surrounds a metal show. This EP is very good and fuck you puto! Viva!
