2019 was the year of release of Subvision's first album, before that, they had already released four EP's. On this self-titled album, Subvision makes a good mix of hardcore and thrash metal, resulting in a really cool record that will please those who like bands like Antisect, Extinction of Mankind and Hellkrusher.

2019 foi o ano de lançamento do primeiro álbum do Subvision, antes disso, eles já tinham lançado quatro EP's. Neste álbum auto-intulado, o Subvision explora uma boa mistura de hardcore e thrash metal, resultando em registro bem legal que vai agradar quem curte bandas como Antisect, Extinction of Mankind e Hellkrusher.

Hellripper's first album was marked by a strong influence from Kill 'Em All (Metallica's first album) and Venom. In Black Arts & Alchemy, the 2019 EP, Metallica's influence is not as evident compared to Coagulating Darkness, but still remains. This EP sounds more metal punk, something like a cross between Toxic Holocaust and Midnight. Cool!

O primeiro álbum da Hellripper ficou marcado por uma forte influência de Kill 'Em All (primeiro álbum da Metallica) e Venom. Já em Black Arts & Alchemy, o EP de 2019, a influência da Metallica não está tão evidente em comparação ao Coagulating Darkness, mas ainda permanece. Esse EP soa mais metal punk, algo como um cruzamento de Toxic Holocaust e Midnight. Da hora!

HELLRIPPER - COAGULATING DARKNESS

Hellripper é uma banda de um cara só e o som é uma mistura do "Kill 'Em All" álbum da Metallica com a maldade da Venom e speed metal. "Coagulating Darkness" é um álbum bom que tem oito faixas com destaque para "Bastard of Hades", "Anneliese" e "Coagulating Darkness" com vocais adicionais de David Ingram (Down Among The Dead Men, Echelon, Ursinne, ex-Benediction, ex-Bolt Thrower).

Hellripper is a one-man band and the sound is a mix of Metallica's "Kill 'Em All" album, Venom and speed metal. "Coagulating Darkness" is a good album with eight tracks highlighting "Bastard of Hades", "Anneliese" and "Coagulating Darkness" with additional vocals by David Ingram (Down Among The Dead Men, Echelon, Ursinne, ex-Benediction, ex-Bolt Thrower).

Split EP envolvendo escoceses e japoneses. A Thisclose continua fazendo o mesmo tipo de som, ou seja, NWOGNB como eles se rotulam. Sludge é uma banda nova pra mim e eles tocam hardcore/punk com influência metal, sendo a banda mais interessante desse registro. 

Split EP involving Scottish and Japanese bands. Thisclose continues to make the same kind of music, NWOGNB as they are labeled. Sludge is a new band for me and they play hardcore/punk with metal influences and are the most interesting band on this record.

TAU CROSS - PILLAR OF FIRE

"Pillar of Fire" é o segundo álbum da Tau Cross e eu acreditava que seria uma continuação do primeiro registro que é bem semelhante ao último álbum da Amebix. Pois bem, "Pillar of Fire" segue um caminho diferente agora, no sentido das músicas soarem mais originais e únicas, nas quais é impossível rotulá-las em um estilo musical específico. Em todo caso, você ouvirá e sentirá alguma essência da Amebix, Killing Joke e Voivod nesse álbum. Minhas faixas favoritas são "Deep State", "Pillar of Fire" (a canção mais bonita desse álbum), "Killing The King", "The Big House", "Seven Wheels" e "What Is A Man". Devo salientar que as letras são muito bem escritas e pode parecer loucura da minha parte, mas o conteúdo lírico me fez criar uma associação com os livros da série Game of Thrones escrito pelo George R. R. Martin, o que tornou ainda maior a minha admiração por este álbum. Capa por Costin Chioreanu (Bloodway). Muito bom!

"Pillar of Fire" is Tau Cross's second album and I believed it would be a continuation of the first record that is very similar to Amebix's latest album. Well, "Pillar of Fire" follows a different path now, in the sense that the songs sound more original and unique, so it is impossible to label them with a specific musical style. In any case, you will hear and feel some essence of Amebix, Killing Joke and Voivod on this album. My favorite tracks are "Deep State", "Pillar of Fire" (the most beautiful song of this album), "Killing The King", "The Big House", "Seven Wheels" and "What Is A Man". I must point out that the lyrics are very well written and may sound crazy to me, but the lyrical content made me create an association with the books of the Game of Thrones series written by George R. THISCLOSE - WHAT GLORY?

Thisclose é mais uma das bandas que realizam tributo ao Discharge, porém eles são um pouco diferentes das demais bandas, já que são influenciados pelo álbum "Grave New World". Lançado em 2017, "What Glory?" segue essa linha citada (principalmente pelo vocal falsete), porém as cincos faixas contidas no álbum soam um pouco mais agressivas, ou seja, com influências hardcore e metal punk. Legal!


Thisclose is one of the bands that pay tribute to Discharge, however they are a bit different from the other bands, because they are influenced by the album "Grave New World". Released in 2017, "What Glory?" follows this line (mainly vocal falsetto), but the five tracks contained in the album sound a little more aggressive, that is, with hardcore and metal punk influences. Cool!
